FOMO isn't always a buzzword, it's an acronym. "Fear of missing out", I literally described a way in which the game uses fear of missing out on something to keep me playing even when I'm not enjoying it.

But sure, use buzzword like a buzzword to discredit my explanation.

You okay mate? You confused by something? You having difficulties?

Perhaps get help. You know, if you actually have a real problem.

Well seeing as how they are pretending that grinding for materials, and waiting for timers is a major deal breaker for people who play warframe, I'd guess that it's not a real problem.

Oh, and that buzzword claim of FOMO just removed any lingering doubt.

I hear this a lot... any game i played, if you abuse the vote kick, your account gets banned. do it multiple times and its going to be permanent. is there a reason vote to kick would run rampant and be abused on this game? i have never understood this train of though.

Welcome to the forums. You must never have seen any of our wonderful posts where people hate on Limbos for existing. Even in cases where Limbo is not only a viable choice, but a very good idea.

There was nothing redeeming in my stats except for the revives, they likely have hundreds of reports to get through, missing the revives is easy as a result. It obviously does not get you to be reviewed for just one report, but still.

My point though is that as with any system mistakes are bound to happen.

Incorrect. You were Limbo. In a Sortie defense. That suggests that you were babysitting the objective. At that point I would want to check the abilities used stat instead.

Remember damage and kills can be a poor metric to use to judge contributions based on the mission-type. DE knows this.

To be clear, I have not personally been on the wrong end of DE's support system. However, there are enough "dings" in their reputation, for me to be concerned, as with pretty much every online game company that bans over trivial stuff like AFK'ing. (yes, this is trivial to me... not at all ban-worthy - block them from multiplayer for a week or something more fitting.) Then there's the whole banning for receiving "bad plat" junk that only makes corporate sense, but no customer service sense whatsoever.

Stepping up, to me, would include being more clear with the person who was banned, exactly why they were banned. If it was being reported by another player, they absolutely need to have the opportunity to present their case... however, even then, I doubt it would make much difference. DE's support staff need comprehensive tools to go back and "see" what happened in some way. Clearly, they can't record every mission minute for minute for all the games played... but there are tools I could suggest, given the time to examine their options (I'm not privy to their coding and what's entirely possible, so my suggestions would be very "general" on what sorts of things would be ideal.)

I mean, chat logs are the basic thing. They probably have this. (how easy it is to track down conversations in any individual mission, or other channels at specific times is something I do not know, and should be a priority at least on PC (on consoles, chat is not nearly as "used." due to controller input.))

Their auto-afk flag for not moving for a minute or something... is situationally irrelevant and may be wholy ineffective in the case of Railjack pilots trying to keep a railjack still and out of enemy eyes while "technically" sitting in the pilot chair the whole time, ready a moment's notice.)

From the conflicting viewpoints expressed in this thread alone, complaints that this pilot was AFK as a "bad thing", whereas I see it as very strategically doing what I'd expect of the pilot... makes the whole reporting thing null in this case (and probably many others), as it's simply a difference of opinion about what someone "should" be doing.

There's much to be said on this topic, and I could probably write a book, along with my reasoning.

Only problem is that the original post says "I was banned for being AFK", while simultaneously saying "I was banned for undisclosed reasons DE Needs to explain this to me asap!"

They should be extremely small amount of peoples, at least i hope so.

400,000 is a very small fraction of  50 million. 400,000 is not a small number.

In the end this imo says that AFKing is not black and white as it may seem. If he kept silent and just reported me the reviewer of my case would see empty chat and he would probably notice that I had very little kills, very likely missing the fact I had about 10 revives as that stat is quite low on the list. Possibly, if it gets logged, he may see I did stay in one spot for over a minute at least once through the game (duration build so no need to move if I don't need to refresh banish or revive). As such if I were the reviewer I would judge guilty.

You'd make a poor reviewer. Just saying.

Of course, your stance seems to be that whether you received complaints in game is irrelevant and you should "play" however you want because you couldn't possibly be breaking a vague mannerism of "don't afk in mission".  My assumption is that players perceived that you "commandeered" their ship and proceed to semi-afk, and considered it to be borderline griefing, and reported you for that.

Emphasis added. Because this makes a world of sense, in a thread that is incredibly devoid of sensible contributions, and incredibly full of patently false information being shared as Veritas.

In that case they should improve support if they dont want people asking for help or sharing problems in the public forums.

Oh please. People will always be dissatisfied when they don't immediately get their way. Your current posts are proof enough.

I mean, you know that this isn't the place for it. You know that we can't help you in any way. But, here you are. You see?

Could be nice to get an explanation for starters, but I agree with this time of the year being not a good one specially with Empyrean launch. But I think what accounts wiith thousands of hours should get some priority to get answers when contacting support.

Yeah well you won't be getting it here. So posting about what you would like is beyond futile.

I can understand potatoes and exilus since they aren't used often. their effects are permanent on one use and you don't have to use multiple amounts of them for better effects.

but personally forma being 24 hours is just a massive inconvenience and will often have some just buy the forma bundle over actually crafting them one by one as it is faster and simpler that way

would be great to reduce the forma craft time to be  less than 24 hours. personally 1 or 2 hours would be perfect with how forma functions.

    You're funny.... Do another.

Imagine yourself playing a normal grineer mission. Now imagine a bunch of shields, bombards and scorpions come up. Now imagine yourself getting stunlocked to death by getting constantly knocked down and having no way to get up quickly without sacrificing a rather valuable mod slot for something like Handspring, when you could be using something like Streamline or Stretch in it's place.

Why must i sacrifice a mod to fix something that is clearly a missed opportunity for rewarding the player for being good at the game? Why am I forced to play either Rhino or Atlas if i want to avoid the issue of knockdowns entirely without sacrificing mods? And before anyone says "lol just roll or block" let me remind you that not everyone has 360 degree vision like you do.

There are plenty of other 3rd person games that also feature knockdowns in abundance, but do you know what all of them also feature? A fast recovery from them. In fact, let me throw out an example - Phantasy Star Online 2. In this game, just about every enemy has a way to knock down the player. In fact, after a certain point literally every attack from literally every boss will knock the player on their ass. There, the player has 2 options;; #1 do nothing and wait for the character to slowly get up on their own just like in warframe, or #2 press [space] at the right time to get up nearly instantly AND depending on the players class they get very minor heal on top of it, just like the lollipop you got when you were a brave kid while getting vaccinated or visited the dentist.

In short - The player should have a way recover from knockdowns quickly without the need to sacrifice a mod, and instead should require a well timed input from the player.

Edit - Uthael identified the problem precisely, and pointed out the things that would make for good changes.

    Consider the post edited.

    So... Vaykor Sydon time?

Sounds like Vaykor Sydon time, to me.

    Why?
    - Because Plains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis are still having the same damn bugs as the day they came out maybe?  Making it so 1 in 4 missions has at least one issue that makes you fail because of a bug?
    - Because every patch more and more parts of the game become unplayable?  Desynchs have gone from once in a blue moon to at least one person getting stuck at the start in like every other mission.  Because grinding for Alerts tends to put you in a different alert mission half the time unless you solo or host.  Because several missions in the Kuva fortress simply refuse to start.  Because Grendel is stuck behind the most miserable content in the world.

The bugs have been getting worse and it's clear that some of the devs are simply bored with it. Watched the Dev stream?  Tell me Steve's heart is still in it?

    Which bugs are those, precisely?

The "I don't want to do this" bugs? Or the "I play warframe on my grandfather's antique toaster" bugs? Or was it the "I am under the mistaken impression that I live in a country where everyone has pretty good internet service, and there are no possible ways that my connection has stability issues no matter who I am connected with" bugs?

Because I've been here long enough to recognize that a lot of people seem to encounter those.

Started playing this game a few weeks ago. And up until this point, I've been pleasantly surprised as how good the game is.

Until tonight. Lost 90% of all the credits I made in the last couple weeks. Didn't realise the quest is rigged so you will literally lose all of your money because the NPC adversaries spawn with 40 or 50 points on them already. Sure you get you two or three points in just under the artificial scoring 10 point scoring cap, but then the NPCs just show up with 70 points, one shot you from literally nowhere, with no means of recovering. Oh yeah and the constant energy drain makes it so much more "fair".

I've heard of some pretty heinous stuff in FTP games. But this takes the cake. I honestly can't believe that this passes for game design.

For all the vets that may have millions laying around losing close to a million may not seem very punishing, but to a new player that literally knows nothing to suddenly have all of your accumulated wealth robbed by this travesty of a questline. Infuriating.

I hope whoever thought this quest line up steps on a Lego. In the dark.

    Calm down there buddy.

First off, you can ask for help. You just need one person who knows how to cheese the match.

Second all you need to do is quickly score a single point and then keep the enemy from scoring any. You can do this solo or with someone helping you. Limbo's 2 and 4 can completely lock down the goal post. You hang out near their goal, your spectres will flock to your location so they won't score on their own.

Whole thing is just pretty boring, really.

And last, take Rhino with good iron skin and you don't need to fret about the energy. Once you are doing the index proper, you will realise that a million creds isn't a particularly large sum.

I nearly have 500 hours in this game (which quite frankly isnt that much compared to others) and I never have any reserve neural sensors or neurodes for when I need to make stuff. Their drop chance is very low, even on the farm missions and in general its just tedious and tiresome to farm them. Compared to gallium, which is barely used, its drop chance seems to be a lot higher.

Im not saying the drop rate should be as high as gallium, I just think it should be a little bit more common so I dont feel like pulling my hair out running plato for the 7th time to get 2 neurodes.

Install the app on a mobile device, so you can manage your extractors more efficiently. Over time it makes a significant difference.

Also, mix it up with the planets you play on. Make yourself a Nekros with a good farming build too.

    Good luck Tenno.

And you sir fail to consider context in just about everything you read don't you? Contradiction in terms. The threads you read complaining it is too hard? Are probably new players and the casuals. Those complaining it is too easy? Most likely those that are Veterans and those that have been consistently vocal about wanting some challenge in the game instead of DE consistently catering to the casual crowd.

You sit there on your high sheep proclaiming people are inconsistent with their voice yet act intellectually dishonest and indigenous with your own argument., knowing one group of dissenters are not necessarily the same. Regardless of the fact that all of these problems are on DE to begin with. They could have given everyone a little of what they asked for. They take enough inspiration from other games to get ideas, they just consistently fail to execute many of them well.

Wait? You finally figured out that the game is played by a very large number of people, and not just one small group all of whom are in accord? And that as a whole they contradict one another's demands?

But you're not honest enough to realise that for DE, they literally can't make everyone happy all of the time? You still pretend to think that despite the contradictory nature of the demands that DE could have given everyone what they want.

And uh.... How do I put this delicately.... you think that "indigenous" means...?

Seeing as you have nothing to contribute to a discussion, rather acting like a troll, you sir can "Tinkle Away" I can admit fallibility and typos. If that makes you feel better that you got one on me with a typo, you sir have bigger issues than you realise. Good luck with that. I am done with you.

Good try. But you already showed that you aren't willing to come to terms with the fact that you make self contradictory statements.

Isn't it neat how all of these come from just one of your posts? But hey, I started life on the farm. It's easy to herd sheep.

When you clear your head and start arguing in good faith, you are much more likely to get reasoned responses. Until then,.... Well you know.

The irony is that ostriches don't do that. They never did. Someone was confused about what they saw, said it, and everyone followed what they had been told, blindly.

But that's what they say is the defining feature of sheeple isn't it? Easily fooled, and willing to be lead.

    Good luck with that.
