  1. Rushing used to be much worse. When Bosses stopped dropping blueprints rushing died down a lot aside from resource rushers. Parkour 2.0 did make things a bit easier in regards to keeping up, but it can be a problem sometimes, especially if your framerate is garbage (like mine) during public sessions.

I'm able to run most bosses and levels solo (with slight difficulties here and there as game mechanics get changed) so I generally solo most missions unless they're endless. Mainly because I suck at those, but also they bore me quickly when nobody's around to help out.

  2. Our weapons are extremely powerful for intended content (being level 40, but moving to around level 80). Those 1-40 levels can be conquered with a Mk-1 Braton, if forma'd well.

My argument is enemy scaling as well as weapon balance both need a rework/tweaking.

the human that controls kickbot likes to argue with people on Design council chat about this sort of thing. (yes, a human does control him like a puppet at times in addition to the AI controlling him.)

in all seriousness though, the high level content should be somewhat manageable for solo players without OP weapons. Having to use things like Soma, Boltor Prime, etc, makes me feel....dirty. I'm all for a challenge, but not when the challenge has a distinct advantage over you.

The main issue now is the introduction of weaknesses to procs. They affect Tenno too, not just enemies. So as a result, we take a lot more damage now. This is especially noticable with Corpus. I've been downed as a Vauban by two level 12 MOA on solo. I know Vauban's not really a solo warframe, but still, that's pretty messed up if a couple of level 12 enemies can kill me in a few seconds. (and yes, I was making an effort to get out of fire)

  3. You see? I knew you people wouldn't listen. That's not shiny. That's not even sparkly. that's a reflective effect from lighting. there's a difference. You want a real example of shiny, look at the prisma Gorgon. So far you people have proven exactly what I think about you on these boards. And Council chat actually encouraged me to come on here and make a post about it because a number of them agreed. And I said no because this crap would happen. That's the last time I post anything on these boards EVER. You people are a waste of time and totally hopeless. Thanks for showing just how bad this user base is. I have no faith in this userbase anymore.

  4. I'm sure most of you have undoubtedly saw the textures for Soma, Vasto, and Nova prime and how horrible they look. All because DE decided to allow players to recolor the gold accents on the guns. While it's great that you can, it looks horrible without any gold accents. Worst of all, they aren't as shiny as other prime weapons and warframes because of this problem. The game's clearly capable of colorable shiny textures as weapons like Prisma Gorgon show us, so why can't prime weapons uses these sparkly shiny. Interestingly, the regular vasto actually seems a little shinier than Vasto prime.

This is a problem because essentially, they don't look prime without any shiny metallic accents on them. They just look like a new version of whatever weapon or warframe they're based upon.

Doing textures like the Prisma Gorgon for prime weapons would be a better option. Personally though, I preferred the weapons always having gold accents and it's stupid that they don't anymore. But whatever, I'll be happy with just shiny textures if this is how prime weapons are going to be from now on. Just get rid of the lack of shininess on Vasto, Soma, and Nova Prime.

  5. DE needs to rebalance nullifiers. They're way too strong on high levels and other enemies like to play "Mt. Campamanjaro" inside the nullifier's barrier. It's a nightmare for solo players. It's always nice having a barrage of bullets from 10 high level enemies at once coming after you isn't it?

  6. Option 5: Stop making boss keys. Boss keys are a horrible mechanic. Lephantis was wonderful, but Hek and this new key are prime examples of what's wrong with the new "marketing Campaign" DE's marketing team has set fourth. Some of the things DE does defy all rational sense.

For example: Why only high level Phorid fights? Why not ALL Phorid fights?

Another example: Why are prosecutors only found on a high level Grineer planet and why do the triangulator types have different drop rates. Have mercy DE. Seriously. Ceres is horrible because High level grineer are obnoxious. Not impossible, but their armor makes them annoying.

I love you guys at DE but you need to stop making horrible moves like this.

  7. Oh good you "fixed" stalker to make him even more obnoxious. Thank you for this joke of epic proportions DE.

On a related note, how about fixing the stalker to ALWAYS drop a blueprint and EVERY blueprint has the SAME DROPRATE. Fix that crap guys. Honestly it's absurd, you're making him harder yet you're also making sure we aren't well rewarded for actually defeating him. I'm not the only one that feels this way either. A lot of people in Council chat have discussed it and they think it's obnoxious too. Sure, some players can one shot him but other can't, and even when you're able to one shot him, there's a chance of him to one shot you instead if you screw up somewhere while fighting him without help. (and trust me a lot of newbies often forget to ask for help when they first encounter him in a public session and they end up getting mauled by him....alone)

While we're on the subject of making him harder, if he doesn't do it already, how about making him able to parry gunfire with hate?

  8. This is kind of late game advice, but if you manage to get your hands on Nekros, the earth ones are generally easy to kill with one hit from a maxed soul punch. (it's also damn funny to watch their limp bodies plummet to the ground).

As for early game, as someone mentioned, Hellions really were a bad idea to put on earth. There are several ways to take care of them which have probably been covered in this thread. They are nearly annoying as rollers and arc traps in some cases. I'll be honest, Grineer have some of the most obnoxious units in the game

depending upon your starting frame, there's different ways to take care of them.

-As has been mentioned, Excalibur's Radial Blind is really useful against them. After the initial stun, they won't be able to see for a bit. Use this to your advantage to get behind them to destroy their jetpack and keep them grounded, hopefully for good. Generally, the jetpack exploding is enough to kill them. If they do survive somehow, they won't be able to take to the sky, thus eliminating their most powerful attack.

-Mag's pull will rag doll them. I haven't tried it on an airbourn one, but I imagine it would pull them out of the sky.

-Volt can either use shock, or if you want to really have some fun and have energy to spare, max out overload and electrocute them and everyone else.

  9. Like i said in my "Is Vor now a Tenno?"

The theory that Tenno are not beings made up of energy only works with the idea that energy beings are incorporeal, but nowhere in this game is this ever stated. In fact, the only example that we have, Vor, says the opposite. He says he is energy and he has a solid form most of the time.

I don't see how a Marvel comics character is relevant. The energy theory is hogwash. Play Dark Sector sometime. Hayden Tenno has been stated in dev streams to be the ancestor of all tenno and the first tenno. There's also the whole Technocyte virus thing. The infested bosses talk about "we are your flesh" and stuff like that. That energy theory is flawed because of Dark Sector lore. Hayden's Excalibur armor was designed to enhance his physical power while also protecting him from his affliction. The same applies for the warframes of now.

The Technocyte virus is actually very hard to meld with and still retain cognitive thinking. The pain is so intense that it drives the infected insane. Then they're skin develops a metalic crust that gets harder and harder as they mutate making damaging them more difficult. (Infested Ancients shared a similar feature actually until damage 2.0. parts of their bodies were heavily armored. There's also phorid as another example)

Hayden though wasn't drove insane due to a mental condition where he can't feel pain. Thus he was able to harness the Technocyte virus. This indicates that the tenno of now are handpicked for reasons similar to this.

  10. I would imagine the same circumstance applies for the current Warframes as well. Also, good translating of the codex entry. I never thought of it like that, but it makes sense.

Now the question remains: What is stalker? Is he a Tenno too? Or is he a shadow of the past, something far more sinister than just an "evil Tenno" and as old as Hayden? His codex entry is a little confusing, and it begs to question exactly where the Stalker fits when faced with the Tenno and his similarities to them.

Perhaps the future will tell us more.

  11. Clearly, none of you are considering Dark Sector Lore.

Hayden Tenno is the first Tenno. He gets the Excalibur warframe. If you don't notice, it reacts to his Technocyte virus infection in a sort of symbiotic way allowing his infection to seep through the arm of the suit.

http://youtu.be/BTGDfYnOBpw?t=2m10s watch this cutscene in Dark Sector.

Bottomline: Warframes are suits we control, and we can wear more than one, and the sex of the warframe doesn't affect the sex of the of the person wearing it. (see the Nemesis Warframe in Dark Sector, which has a Gender neutral appearance but is worn by a female.)

  12. Hello everyone I figured I'd talke a little bit about some of the stuff I discussed this morning with several members of design council chat.

We were talking about the whole Warframe birthday fiasco and how DE thought it was a good idea to release prototype excalibur as an exclusive. Well DE, I hate to break the news to you, (and I'm not bashing you, so if it sounds like that I apologize in advance) but there was a small problem with that which I'll get to now:

Not many people bought it or not as many people that could have had it been a permanent item. While I like that you want exclusives for holidays, it's flawed. I mean you've still got Fireworks in the market that should have been removed ages ago but you keep them year round, and to make matters worse, they're a waste of platinum and credits.

I asked; No I literally begged and begged for you guys to release the Dark Sector Excalibur (prototype excalibur) and instead of making it permanently in the market, you go and make it a one week only exclusive. I didn't have money that week.

So for the users here. I'm asking for your help. Please help me convince DE to release this cosmetic permanently into the market. I begged and begged for that skin and having it released at an inconvient time impacted my feelings towards warframe for months. I had to go on haitus to cooldown for a few months. (only coming back for events)

What could be so bad about making it permanent? We give DE money to buy it, DE gets the money and everybody's happy. Yes I know I'm sounding like an A****** but you honestly don't understand how upsetting missing out on this was for me.

  13. yeah, I have this problem too, though not frequently. Most of the time, I can connect without problems but every so often this happens. This issue should be put high on DE's bug fix priority list and be fixed ASAP.

  14. I actually like Orbis. I'm a little sad he doesn't talk enough. Other than that, I was noticing that Darvo mentioned getting a new one. Then I got the idea: Why not make several different Orbis with different personalities and sell them as cosmetics in the market?

Like for example: Have one with a seductive female voice and personality or have one that talks like a black guy. And have them react differently to things like saying different stuff in Vor's prize (if you decide to play it again). Yeah yeah, I know it's a lot of work but it would definitely be a cool feature.

I'd also love Orbis to be a bit more interactive. Perhaps have him comment on some things (though not over doing it as obviously that would be annoying) or have a control panel where we can "poke" him and stuff to get him to speak.

  15. I just find this post to be really whiney especially where the bleeding profs and enemy swarms are concerned. People like you just want the game to be easier and when changes are made that make Warframe more fun and challenging you are now concerned that you can't simply waltz into any mission and destroy 200 enemies on your own without breaking a sweat.

It's not so much I'm whining about slash damage in general. I think it's a good feature. the issue is, the bleeding damage you recieve from slash procs seemingly scales with enemy level. And that's the real problem. Maybe if bleeding had a set amount of damage, regardless of enemy level and player armor, it would be much more enjoyable.

As for New planets, yes I'm well aware that a new planet tileset would be required and I know it takes time. But we're long overdue for a new planet. The last planet introduced was Phobos and that was about update 9.4 or 9.5 (I forget which but it was a long time ago regardless.) They're running out of places to put each new warframe they introduce, so they have to add more "key bosses", which is kind of annoying IMO. Why not just introduce a new planet/Moon every update? Would definitely be good for U15 possibly.

The main reason the Dual Cestra don't fit in Clan research, has a lot to do with the original base weapon being in the market. It just looks out of place for clantech.

As for new players, not everyone wants to join a clan. I've met a few people that prefer going off on their own and playing without clans. Just because it's easy to get into most clans doesn't mean everyone wants to join a clan just to get a weapon.

  16. You don't agree? well that's just too bad, I'm voicing my opinion because I'm tired of this crap.

Not every weapon introduced should be clan tech. Just because it gives you money doesn't mean it's not annoying for others. Here's why it's dumb:

    1. the lack of new weapon blueprints in the market pisses me off and it forces newbies to either join a clan or bust the piggy bank to buy some platinum.

    2. Not every weapon is clantech material. Example: Dual Cestra. It just doesn't fit in with other clan tech because the single Cestra can have a bp purchased in the market. To top it off, the corpus Labs always have had the most weaponry.

    3. The three homeless warframes, Zephyr, Volt, and Banshee should be on other planets of their own. Not put into the tenno lab where it takes 12 days to fully construct a complete warframe. My solution to this issue is to take Mag, Excalibur, and Loki from their planets and move them to the tenno lab. I can't really explain why but it's always felt like the starting warframes would fit better in the tenno lab, then getting them off of a planet. Like, why are Excalibur and Loki located on the very last few planets? You'd think being starters they'd be obtainable much sooner, like Mag.

The fact that you guys care more about making money than users being able to choose what they want to do is both sad and worrisome. I'm not saying you don't care about us, but making every single new weapon release clantech is a very bad idea and I hope you guys reconsider.

Other complaints relating to other features:

-Bleeding Procs. For the enemies, it's fine. However, for the players it's brutal. Especially if a bunch of enemies gang up on you. It happens the most with grineer. Even low level grineer can brutally injure even the healthiest warframe through bleeding. And what's worse is that the bleeding damage seems to scale with enemy levels, along with their attacks. Very annoying. Despite what players tell me, I see no difference in having a high armor warframe and a low armored warframe.

-On a related note, ever since update 9.8, Grineer have started to become more swarmy. They're heavily armored soldiers. They don't need to swarm like infested. So why would you do this DE. Please fix it.

-This moving bosses and warframe blueprint drops around is very annoying. Stop moving them around and just make new planets. Hell, use a moon if you have to, like you did with phobos. I know a lot of people that would love playing on Earth's moon. Saturn and Jupiter have a crap load of moons to choose from as well. Why not use some of those? IO's volcanicly active state, that would make for an interesting new world.
