Somehow, I managed to blow off both his head and an arm. I don't know how well you can see it or not but if you look closely you can see the decapitated head and severed arm objects popping out of the body.

    In game name: Glisp

(do I really need to put my in game name on a forum that displays it?)

  2. It's bad enough the Corpus were losing but when someone does this, it makes other corpus players look bad as well. I've had people crictize us for "using hax" when it was only one person doing it.  At this point I stopped giving a crap about the winner as had most corpus players. It's a little bit too late to support the other side anyway atm.

While opening a Vault, we found it had an unexpected resident. A Leaper! After dispatching the beast, we claimed our prize and headed for extract.

    Pictured here:

Me (Glisp/the Rhino closest to the screen)

    Havocore (the Mag)

Redgrim90 (the other rhino way in the back.)

Also, why can't I post images via the %7Boption%7D brackets, yet everyone else can?

  4. But would that happen with the Stalker? I mean, he might be considered a boss and that would explain why the BPs haven't been dropping.

Also, maybe he's "revivable" as a bug of "killing" him, because, you know, he's simply supposed to disappear after he reaches 10% of his health.

He still drops the blueprint orbs. I was fighting him this morning and he dropped dread (as usual =()  Also, the reason you can revive him is that the game treats him as an AI controlled player. It uses a similar routine for the hostages as well. (yes if you're fast enough you can revive the hostages) This is also one of the reasons why enemies go after him. As you said, he's normally supposed to disappear once he reaches a certain amount of health. However, if your weapon is too strong and you're fast enough, you can knock him into bleedout state since he's technically an AI controlled player.

How do I know this? Well, I play sessions with one of DE's coders sometimes. =)

  5. I'm sad to see two things go: The Gorgon and Loki's ability to dismember runners with Radial Disarm. I mean yeah, the Gorgon's been outclassed by the Soma, but it's still a pretty good weapon. Unlike the others, there's still some playability for it. Actually, the others are debatable too I guess but Gorgon getting retired is what came as a shock to me. Mostly because it's what the Heavy Gunners use and I still like it regardless, I think it should at least be available to others still and Soma is still too strong for a Mastery Rank 3.... Hell...so is Rhino... lol.

    I say keep Gorgon.

Regarding Radial Disarm's dismemberment, I think it should have been kept. While it wasn't a big deal, it was hilarious seeing Runners and leapers hop around on one leg and be literally "disarmed" by the attack.

  6. While I have to agree Volt has problems, he's still at least semi-useful with shield and speed at least. I would like to see him have better damage output on non-corpus enemies. I've been able to get some good output on Crewmen and MOA up to like level 120 with a maxed focus and overload. (techs stop taking much damage at around level 80 according to personal observations.) but yes, I would like to see some better damage. So I totally agree with the original post.

Chances are if DE says they're working on it, they're working on it. Though, perhaps a question should be PM'd to one of the staff members regarding the matter. Most of them are pretty good about replying on the forums via PM. I'd PM Grineeer (aka Scott) and see if he has anything to say regarding the matter.

  7. Dispair is a pretty good choice as well.... if you can get the stalker to drop the bp for dispair anyway.... Well, if you have 800 plat to spare (which you probably don't unless you're of founder rank which you're not probably) you could just buy them in the "what stalker?" bundle.  But yeah, if you can't get your hands on them, use the suggestions listed above for alternatives.

Paris is another armor ignore weapon you may try. Though I stress you'll need to mod it up quite a bit and will probably need a catalyst to get anything good out of it. Also, firerate mods are a must for Paris because you'll need a fullycharged arrow to do the most damage. (speed trigger and Shred Both are pretty easy to obtain. shred being found in nightmare mode.)

I remember fighting him the first time. My entire team kind of went in to the fight blind so we got our butts kicked. I was the only one of them stubborn enough to revive and continue fighting a little longer. Wasn't pretty though because I forfeit as well because I knew it was a lost cause. My second run was much better and with a different team.

As for Volt, yes his shield is probably the best ability you can use against infested. You might be able to clear the lesser infested with overload since they're only in the 40's, provided your Volt has a Max Focus on but I wouldn't use it to kill lephantis because of his armor.

  8. This. I'm honestly somewhat bemused by the OP, but the best advice I can give here is that DPS doesn't matter on Lephantis currently due to the cap, just... Don't F*** up and die. That said, I really don't understand how the situation described occurred, so I'm uncertain what to suggest past that.

The damage cap however is an abomination, it took Lephantis from my favorite boss to one of my most hated. I despise the very idea of removing player interactivity, but this is a particularly foul method of it.

The DPS cap is there to prevent people from being cheap. Especially Rhino and Nova players who like to kill enemies as fast as possible with their cheapness. hehehe. >=) same with weapons like Acrid. They should do this with every boss in the game to make rhino and nova abusers mad. lol. No, I don't hate Rhino and nova but they are admittedly overly abused by players.

  9. They probably do drop during alerts but I haven't saw one in several updates because the droprate for alert bosses is not 100% of the time anymore and yes I have gotten other Grineer bosses aside from Krill. I've gotten Tyl Regor, Vay Hek, Vor, and Sargas Ruk. The only one I haven't got come to think of it is Thayla whatever her name is from Sedna.

According to the wiki, J3 also used to be in Infested assassination alerts called "Infested Insectoid" or something similar. However, these days, it's always a Toxic Ancient which is a little too easy to kill for most players. What I don't get is why not Phorid? (or lephantis as well as someone mentioned above. Actually, Lephantis might be kind of problematic because of him being in OD)

  10. So I don't know about my fellow forum goers... however, I myself and very sick of hunting down Jackal and Toxic Ancients for Corpus and Infested Assasination missions. I've read J3 used to appear in some Assassination alerts as "Infested Insectoid" yet I have never had a J3 Alert. It's always a toxic which is absurdly easy to the point where I just ignore them now.

    Now the Corpus:

I love Jackal. He's a fun boss and all. But seriously, EVERY Corpus Assasination alert? It makes corpus assassination alerts very boring because you know what boss it will be every time one comes up. Come on, give the other Corpus bosses some love for alerts DE. I mean, for both these factions, you only have about one ore two boss options. Yet the Grineer get just about every boss fight in their assassination alerts.

While we're on the subject of Grineer.... I read somewhere pre-update 9 Captain Vor used to appear in Assasination alerts post update 9 though there's no confirmation. Anyway, this would be kind of cool if you did this for Vor alerts. (renaming him accordingly to Grineer flameblade or whatever he was called during alerts)

And also, whatever happened to assassination alert bosses always dropping bp 100% of the time? That was the one thing that made them special. Now they never drop them which is stupid. Please change this back DE. With the regular droprates gone to hell, this would be a very important and crucial addition.

Please read this and give it some consideration DE. I know some players like me would love changes like the above implemented/reimplemented.

  11. Here's why Rhino being a starter is a bad idea:

    1. he's too strong. I myself hardly use him unless I'm soloing a rough mission like 30 minutes of survival, or if I'm having to deal with a bunch of newbies in Pluto alerts. Though often times I'll pick Loki over Rhino even in these cases due to Radial Disarm and Loki wasn't even my starter. (excal was if you need to know)

    2. as other people have mentioned, letting a bunch of newbies loose with one of the most overpowered warframes in the game would be irresponsible. There's a reason he's mastery locked you know.

That being said, being Loki is kind of rough for new players from what I've saw. Most come in without knowing how to use him properly and some end up just selling him away to free up frame slots after they get another frame.  While I do agree with people's views as on why Loki should be a starter still, I do think that he may be a little much for newbies to handle in some cases.

In fact, there's a lot of people that hate Loki because they find him fragile and weak and sold him because of such. I seem very satisfied with him though personally. However, I obtained him pretty late game and farmed his parts within an hour from Hyena. Plus, I have his swindle helmet which I love to death because I use a Radial disarm supporting mod load out.

All in all, I would like to see him replaced as a starter with something that has less of a learning curb but is still as rough on the new players as he is. Though, I'm sure some would disagree with me saying that which I'm okay with because they do have very valid points about him being "hard mode" I just don't like watching people throw away potentially one of the strongest utility frames in the game because they don't know how to use him.

  12. I've noticed if you shoot an enemy while they're being pulled towards you, the gunshot seems to do more damage than normal... There's also a slight delay for some enemies dying such as the heavy gunner. She doesn't die after doing this until she hits the ground or a wall. This "yo-yo effect" is noticeable with shotguns especially.

As for the complaints about Mag, I have to say one thing. I can't vouch for old Mag's pull because I could never get my hands on her systems due to the droprates being so screwed up and finally had to buy her close to the end of 9.8 after I became a grandmaster. Didn't get to use her until update 10 started however by this time, her pull had already been changed.

I do agree about crush being weaker than pull to say the least.  And actually, you CAN attack enemies knocked down by pull. Typically, I use melee finishers on them to do some quick and dirty damage.

I have saw old pull executed once in the dojo's pvp once. Not on me but someone else. (of course I was pulled too because of pvp being weird and all in the dojo) What I will say is that while it looked more magnetic, there was also something less natural looking about it. I'm not doubting its usefulness in the past but in the present it still is useful and I think that the new pull is a bit more popular than old pull because of its damage and it does still cc higher level enemies. This I can confirm in Xini and Varro. (among other places, some not defense missions.) Though I do have to agree about pulling toxic ancients... it's a very bad idea.... Then again "yo-yo effect" I described above could help keep them out of your way.

  13. Dakra Prime actually isn't that bad and I've actually fought some level 100+ enemies with it. There are things you can do with mods to increase damage output, though knowing most people, they're too lazy to potato or forma a melee weapon and want it to do a bazillion damage right out of the box. 55 base damage is high for a longsword in this game. Galatine only has a 35 but on the plus side the 400 charge damage makes regular slashes a little redundant until you mod it like crazy.

Dakra Prime gets two polarity slots to start with so you won't have to forma it as much to put on some good mods. Keep ind mind, Dakra isn't meant to be god tier like Galatine. It's meant to be a more balanced long sword.

  14. The wiki actually talks about these bugs, and it happens with more than the cryopod. Practically every defense objective has a chance of "becoming him". Happens rather frequently in Grineer defense missions involving the big generator because of its size. You can attack the generator too. He often spawns inside the objective making his loot a pain in the butt to get to when he drops it. Not that it matters because as of late his loot drops have seemed a little buggy. If he drops anything good, it's usually dread.

Both of these bugs have been around for a very long time, I'm surprised none of the devs have fixed it yet. Maybe they just can't seem to find what's causing it. I dunno.

  15. Most of the music in Warframe they have now seems to be placeholder as it's not that great IMO. It's mostly just drums. They're probably gonna polish the music more later in production as it's not nearly as important as other things such as bugs and content.

As for what I think the Lephantis music should sound like, probably should have a feel similar to this:
