  1. Why is your resolution so bad? Btw did you use true black from the smoke pack? Looks good :) Ash would be more ninja-like though

My computer isn't that great so I have to run it at 800x600. I normally leave dynamic lighting and color correction off but for the sake of the picture, I turned them both on. I'm actually saving up to build a better computer. I have a number of said parts already, including a motherboard. I just need a few more parts and I'll have a gaming computer. shouldn't take more than 150 US hopefully.

As for what colors I used, yeah, the blacks are from smoke and the reds come from classic saturated. As I said previously, I used the images on the Stalker's wiki page (There's quite a lot from different angles which was really helpful.) to try and get the color scheme as close as possible.

Also, I laughed at that post Naith. I wonder if "The_Stalker" is taken...

  2. Well the good news is, with the release of Synapse, Volt has an extension of himself. I've started seeing more players use him lately, usually with synapse because of what he can do with it. With E. Shield, it becomes even crazier too. You thought Flux and Ignis were crazy with it? Try synapse, you'll get a ton of laughs.

Regarding my past comments, I apologize for offending you guys. Though, my points about Volt still hold true from both personal testing, and research on the wiki. I've taken Volt to The second highest defense mission on Pluto with 3 other people and we went for wave 30. I did most of the kills using overload. What I observed was that level 80 Plus Corpus techs were literally starting to absorb overload's damage. Yet I've been able to kill Corpus Crewmen and MOA all the way up to level 125 or so.

The MOA and Crewmen are light armored so this makes sense. Plus, throw in the Electric weakness all corpus units have, and the fact MOA are robots which means they take an additional amount of damage from overload due to its secondary property of screwing up electronic enemies and light fixtures and you have some nice damage even if it literally takes most of the attack to kill them. Also, my Volt had maxed Focus on to boost the damage. Not saying you have to try this, but give it some consideration before completely throwing volt away as "useless". tbh, I like all the frames. There's not a single one I truly hate. (though I refuse to use Nova or rhino for most gameplay because I consider them too strong) So I can't really hate Volt, even with his apparent problems.

Hopefully, Armor 2.0 solves most of these issues and we won't need a buff. But if it doesn't, it doesn't. A simple fix would be to make all ultimates armor ignore. I mean, we spend the large amounts of energy on these moves (even with maxed streamline in some cases), so it only makes sense to make them all "ultimate".

Also, remember, he's not the only Frame that suffers from armor piercing problems with his moves. Poor Ember's World on Fire and fireball have it bad too.

  3. Think it was a brutal but very honest and general opinion.

Most people go Ash when they want to imitate the Stalker.

Reminds me of the days on ME3 when I used to run around as a Collector Adept with closest as you could get Collector colours. More often than not people used to suddenly shoot me, especially when against Collectors. Good times.

Yeah, I decided to pick Excal for obvious reasons. (such as Stalker using his body model) Well that and I was neglecting my poor Excal lately and decided to do something fun with him. Oh and regarding that, I think I've had like a couple people think I was the stalker for a sec and try to shoot me lol. Others make jokes of me dropping blueprints when a shockwave MOA or another enemy knocks me down, which is hilarious.

  4. Now that was just rude. Yes, I know a lot of others have probably done this. Just felt like posting it for laughs and opinions. I didn't say you had to like it but I also didn't say act like a jerk either. I basically just felt like showing off my own personal attempt at it to the community.

  5. So yeah, I own all of the Stalker's weapons and decided to colorize my Excalibur to look more like him just for fun. I've been running around the game for the past couple of days "Cosplaying" as the Stalker.  Tell me what you think:

I tried to get the colors as close as possible, using the wiki's vast number of images of the stalker as reference.

Unfortunately, you're gonna have to click the link above to see it because I can't use the img post extension on this board. though if this qualifies as fan art, feel free to move it @ moderators and/or admins.

Also, I chose the Pendragon helmet due to it looking a bit closer to the stalker's helmet than the other two. (though not enough to be similar but just the gruff look feels closer is what I mean.)

  6. There are two kinds of bumps.

The First one is a useless bump that adds nothing important to the topic

The second one is something that does obviously add to it.  That's probably what they meant by "case by case"

  7. Believe it or not, raid's still in the game. However, the only way to actually get a raid mission is to have Lotus give you a secondary objective after completing the first (easy to do on corpus ships.) which happens at random. I had it happen to me once after update 10, it was interesting.

  8. I liked Darvo and am thinking this may potentially lead up to some kind of event. We'll see though. His competitors were very &!$$ed off at him for offering things at lower prices than them.  25% off wasn't a whole lot though, I agree.

as for what I think an event related to Darvo would be like, I think it would have to do with doing a set amount of missions to find clues to where he's being held (assuming his competitors capture him before the stalker gets him.)

Regarding his lore, it made me think of the merchant from Resident Evil 4 somewhat which I liked.

  9. Fix for Lato Prime not being color-able.

Still waiting on one for Skana Prime, Ignis' Flame color, the vandals, and the Strun Wraith. Get these and I'll be happy. Well maybe not for the Vandals since I don't own any but I'm sure others will be.

  10. Yep sure is recycled from Pluto's old boss portrait, but would be nice to have some background on Darvo. I mean, more than what was already given.

  11. Seems yours and everyone else's advice is just to use shield, is shield all Volt has? Do you place other mods in the other power slots? If y'all do, NO ONE know show to truly use Volt. And it's all the Devs fault. At lest use speed. It's worth it.

And you people should stop bringing Corpus into this, they are a worthless no armor bunch with nothing to make up for it which makes all y'all opinions invalid and infested are just tough and resilient towards light. Light armor or not. They don't even budge when hit with light. Doesn't phase them at all. So useless.

Y'all? lol goes to show how intelligent you are...

Warframe is more than just about seeing how much damage you can do. People don't seem to understand this. Sometimes a good utility ability works just as well as a direct damage ability. Look at Loki. In the right hands, he's one of the best frames in the game. Players also seem to forget the concept of team work in multiplayer. And Electric Sheild can be used by other players btw, not just volt players that cast it. even without armor ignore, the range it offers is still useful. You want to pierce armor while firing through the shield? Put some armor piercing mods on your guns stupid.

The people whining and *@##$ing in this thread and saying "BAH I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG" just proves how immature they are. Then again, the forums and Region chat are full of retards like this so it's to be expected.

  12. Do you hear yourself? Ele.Shield is IMMOBILE. Not everyone just plays defense missions where movig is not required. Also why does he have a skill supporting gunplay when he is an alternative to just that? Bring shade in order to use Overload effectively? Not everyone has shade. Why does volt require a sentinel to use his ult without dying? These are problems. Overload is useless on everything but mid level corpus. Please, stop embarrassing yourself.

Snow Globe is immobile too. It's practically the reason everyone uses Frost. My point is, that he's not totally 100% as useless against high level enemies. You just have to focus on different strategies to take advantage of the situation. With Armor 2.0, a buff for Overload may not even be needed. The idea of my post wasn't to say "HEY USE VOLT YOU WEENIES" It was a tip on how to better utilize him. I'm not saying you have to follow my advice but it may at least be useful to someone. Especially for players that want to really use volt effectively but can't figure out how.

  13. How would you use Shock and Overload effectively on grineer and Infested?

You don't,  Well not on the high level anyway. There you give Volt an Ignis (now that it's been buffed) or Flux and exploit electric shield's hitscan abilities. Other players can use the shield too so he works more for support against higher level non-corpus enemies and less for damage. The shield also makes just about any weapon shot through it gain electrical damage properties. Also, Shotgun blasts shot through will be placed in one blast by the shield rather than spread. Haven't experimented enough with this but it does indeed seem to compress the pellets into one blast which means you theoretically can do point blank damage from a distance if my observations are correct. For right now, nerfing this would be a very bad idea as it's probably Volt's most useful ability for later levels.

Regarding Volt's problem being vulnerable while suspended in the air during his Overload animation, bring along Shade with ghost equipped and enemies won't injure you during the attack very much.

For increased damage on Overload, use max focus, max out overload, Streamline (so you can do several overloads in a row) Stretch (for expanded range, though expanding the range too much seems to be a little bugged as it sometimes doesn't damage very distant targets.) and Flow. If you want, you could also add continuity as well. With all these mods, Volt's overload becomes HUGE. To the point where it literally covers the entire main room on corpus base defense levels such as xini.  Even with this maxed out, Overload does have problems handling level 80 and higher Corpus Techs with their huge amount of armor, but will oneshot Crewmen and MOA all the way into the 100's if modded right. In fact, MOA take even more damage from Overload than crewmen and techs do, due to them being robots and because of Overload's "short circuiting" effect. Overload also destroys light bulbs indoors and the bulbs will electrocute any enemies caught within overload for a bit more damage. This works best in Corpus base hallways. Even High level Techs will still get stunned by Overload though, which can allow follow up attacks.\

As for shock, it's more there to stun Targets for a follow up attack and less about damage.

  14. I bought the last few frames I needed because drops were starting to get a little stingy. I lost patience. (don't even get me started on Mag's Systems... Screw you Anyo) So I bought Grandmaster with my first paycheck. After getting those last few frames, I was satisfied. I still occasionally use my plat on things but I try to conserve it for the most part.

I also ended up buying Vauban because it was a part alert dry spell a few months ago then shortly after I bought him I was a little pissed because parts started appearing in alerts again. It's funny how when you buy something you are having a hard time getting that it becomes easier for others to get when you've already got it.

  15. oh sup glisp so hows the clan im waiting helplessly you are now my eyes and ears oh tell randal I said hi

Doing pretty good. A few days ago we had a Nyx party. 4 of us brought in our Nyxs/ Nyx/ whatever the hell the plural is and were chilling out in the dojo and chatting. Ironically, now that I think about it, having so many nyx players chatting in one spot makes me think of a bunch of high school girls gossiping. lol.

  16. Latron Prime isn't much different from regular Latron. It only has 5 higher base damage and an extra polarity slot.  So basically, Latron is great after you level it to 30, use a catalyst and optionally forma it a couple of times.  one of the things that will definitely help is a firerate mod. (namely speed trigger and the nightmare mode mode that increases firerate for rifles.) Max out the firerate mods and slap them on. Latron becomes much faster. Also get some armor piercing mods and some damage mods. Not a good idea to use critical mods IMO. You could be using those spots for more damage mods. I've forma'd my prime a couple of times and it's now very strong and is currently one of my favorite weapons along with Dread and Strun Wraith. In all honesty, firerate mods can help out a lot of weapons, not just Latron.

Also check the wiki, there's pages for some weapons that show how to build the weapon's mods for certain play styles.

  17. You knew what you were getting when you bought it. A cosmetic skin for two weapons and a frame with a slight stat advantage. Get over the buyers remorse now that you are not a beginner in the game anymore and the weapons are weak.

    So says a non-founder lol.

Also, I agree with Maedar. They should at least be usable for late game. Not op but strong enough to where they can still be used late game when modded properly.

  18. words and random fit throwing

The point I was trying to make is just because you think a warframe is useless now doesn't mean it is. Ember still has a lot of playability and is still a good infested killer. Unlike most ember players, I happen to be a more offensive Ember user who prefers spamming world on fire and Fire Blast in a combo together to get the maximum damage. Sure, it wastes energy but the damage both do together is worth it, especially in endless defense. The one thing that hurts this combo is the decrease in Fire Blast's size and stretch no longer affecting it.

However, WoF is still affective by itself. Really, all you people complaining about Ember's change are are a bunch of whiny babies trying to get your way. Just be glad DE's listening to you at all. Most developers wouldn't give a crap.

And also, the reason why I brought up Volt was because people say he's useless in higher levels. The point I was trying to make is that it isn't necessarily true. The same thing applies to Ember as well. She not useless, players are just going to have to figure out how to adjust to her new play style and find strategies to utilize in said changes. I never got close to enemies as ember when overheat was still a tank skill. Mainly because I didn't need to. WoF pretty much took care of anything that tried to get close. And when it didn't, I had my fellow players to back me up.

  19. I'm gonna test this out now. Thanks again DE. Also, for those of you saying you have no sound, check the volume options lol. Master Volume is like at 0% now lol.

  20. So, since the patches today I've had more than a few new bugs show up... one of which is particularly disconcerting so far.

    1. Invisible Door:

Simple enough... I joined a friend in his session (on Caloris) and just as we killed the last enemy, I ran into a doorway. Like, ran into it. Couldn't go through. He had no trouble and ran ahead to finish the mission (and we waited for the countdown to end). Very awkward. The door was completely invisible, but all of my weapons reacted like it was there too (Glaive bounced off, Paris arrows stuck in it, etc...).

    warframep981doorbug.jpg

    2. Resetting Warframe Colors:

Every time I recolor my suits now, they reset to their pre-patch color schemes upon exiting a mission. Every single time. This has been with Saryn and Nova so far. I change the colors, go into a mission, the colors are correct, exit the mission, and they're back to pre-patch.

    3. Weapons Modifications and Colorations not working:

So I got my Latron Prime today and was super excited to see that I could change the colors on it (I know you used to not be able to). I colored it to match my suit and headed into a mission. It was the original colors. We finished the mission and I added a few mods and colored it again. We ran another mission and it was the original colors... and I didn't notice the mods working. Finished the mission and... yeah. There were no mods on it and it was original colors.

[Mods tried on Latron Prime: Serration, Shred, Speed Trigger, Piercing Hit]

Thoughts? Anyone else having similar problems? My Warframe mods are working just fine so far... that would be kind of horrific if they weren't. Also, my secondary *seems* to have kept the mod changes I made to it so far.

    1. I had it happen on Terminus to a couple of other players. I was able to leave and they weren't.

    2. Did you go directly into a level while still in the arsenal? Sometimes color changes to your frames and/or weapons aren't saved by the game unless you leave the arsenal.

    3. It's been an issue lately where mods like to unequip themselves. It doesn't happen often for me (I've only had it happen like once.) but others have reported the issue as well.
