  1. This discussion is aimed more towards the veteran players of Warframe, with more hours logged onto their account, but everyone is welcome. The topic of this discussion is to explain why you want to reset after knowing you will lose all your progress.

Let us first go over what will happen in the case of a player using the optional reset:
    1) They lose any weapons/warframes except "limited edition" ones, such as Excalibur Prime, Lato Vandal, Lato Prime, etc etc.

    2) Any color palettes will also be reset, except for "limited edition" ones; such as Valentines Day and Easter palette

    3) You will be set back to rank 0 mastery, with all your stats wiped.

    4) You will lose all your mods (the question of Update 6 fusion cores remains, are they "limited edition" and will they be preserved?)

    5) Credits will be reset, and any platinum you have bought will be recredited back to your account

If I'm missing anything feel free to comment about it

If I were to do a reset (though I won't, I logged too many hours onto this account already), it would be because I was silly and bought a couple mod packs and a bunch of catalysts/reactors and now I have an excess of blueprints. I also bought the viper and fangs out of haste and wasted another 150 platinum, which I regret.

  2. My latest peeve has been laggy games. For those who don't know, Warframe uses a peer to peer system for hosting games right now, there are no dedicated servers. If there is lag it is probably due to 1) the host's internet connection is bad, 2) You are located pretty far away from the host causing lag or 3) Your internet is lagging. Most of the time 3 isn't the case for me.

My proposition for joining a mission is that once you click the mission, a window should pop up showing a list of current squads showing how many members there are currently in the squad and your ping to that squad host. This would help reduce the number of incidents where people join games that cause them to lag, thus increasing happiness :D

    Your thoughts Tenno?

On another note, when a Tenno joins a mission after it has been started, there should be an animation for them joining, such as a dropship, them popping out of the ceiling like the introduction sequence of a mission, teleporting in, etc etc. It would be cool rather than just having them spawn randomly and sitting there doing nothing for a little bit

  3. That's why they should do as many other games do for patches; a System-wide message appears onscreen to all players:

"The servers will be shutting down in 30/15/5/1 minute(s) to apply a patch. Downtime is expected to be approximately 30 minutes. Please finish your current mission to avoid loss of items and xp. See you back after the patch!"

..or something similar. Would help avoid some frustration.

The first part (bold) is to be expected, however the second part (underlined) usually doesn't happen, a patch just gets uploaded, we download it and we're able to play it.

  4. Ember - Resistant to fire damage (Grineer bombards, exploded ammunition)

Frost - Resistant to cold (Shields not depleted when cryogenics core fails)

Rhino - Armor (Should have reduction to melee damage)

Saryn - Resistant to Poison (should take reduced damage from poison ancients)

etc etc, these warframes have skills that deal with these certain elements (and aspects) but they don't seem to be able to utilize them or deal with them if they come from other sources.

  5. As you fellow Tenno's (Tenni?) know, today is reinforcements day usually. That means a new patch and probably hotfixes and some shiny new weapons. That also means that the client has to update, and if you're REALLY lucky during the time that DE inputs the new patch in and you happen to also receive a shiny new mod or blueprint that you've been waiting for SOOOO long to get, your data won't send to the server and it'll get lost... leaving you in utter despair.

Of course it's just a game and I hope that you won't actually fall into depression, it's just discouraging to finally receive something that you've been grinding forever to get (thanks RNG gods) only to have it taken away because you were so lucky as to finish the mission as the patch hit.

IIRC, this happened last patch, 7.9.0, during an alert mission. I think DE should put an announcement before actually inputting the patch into the server, that way people get prepared as well as hyping up the community.

TL;DR: Patch hits, if you're in a mission you lose loot because data doesn't send to server, DE please implement a timed announcement prior to uploading patch

    Community Thoughts on announcements

Requesting 'Beccs to go back into the sound booth.

"Tenno, there is a transmission from HQ in an hour. Prepare to return to your shuttle."

"The message will be deciphered in 30 minutes. You cannot miss this."

"The time is running out, Tenno. 10 minutes before your shuttle will receive a strategic update."

    Thanks.

  6. Ranking up every 2 mastery ranks should grant either a inventory slot or warframe slot. Nothing too money-breaking. I don't like the idea of trying to loot inventory slots from bosses, makes no sense.

Supporting the dev's with a $5 platinum pack yields you 12 weapon slots, way more than you'll ever need (although I have 6 pages full of weapons just for the hell of it)

  7. It's because you're trying to upgrade a mod thats equipped, and you currently have no more mod points in your weapon to spare or the upgraded amount of the fusion core would be greater than the available amount of points in your weapon.

Example: 10 mod points in pistol, upgrading a 8-cost card. You can upgrade it by 2 ranks, but you are unable to upgrade it by 3 because it would exceed the current amount of mod points in the pistol (11-cost card)
