They are random missions that happen in the plains.

If you go free roam into the plains (or hang around in the plains after finishing a bounty) then Lotus will pop up saying there's a mission (same type of mission used for bounties) and to go somewhere on the map to start it. If you don't go and start it then it ends after a certain amount of time.

I just think this is more likely what you are seeing than entering someone's bounty mission when you haven't chosen to do a bounty.

Not an incursion, a full bounty with the stages and all, happens.

  2. Ugh.. people act like all these other online games have this great white gate in the clouds, which opens up at a certain point.

ALL and I mean ALL of the MMOs have two types of end game, PvP, which Warframe also has, but is hated by all and raids.

Now Warframe doesn't have raids as seen in other MMOs. Easily fixed. Put a weekly cooldown on the Trydolons, done. Happy now?

There is no perfect solution, if they start releasing new gear at a proper pace, it will either have to be extremely watered down, because eventually they will run out of ideas, or just as any other online game, create a hamster wheel of progression, where every N months you get the same gear, but flashier and with +1 to that awesome stat.

  3. Your complain is mainly RNG being RNG, Revenant is easier to get than some star chart frames - Equinox, Saryn, Trinity, Mesa, even Nova took me about 20 runs for those systems alone. You have 6% on 4th stage and 10% on 5th stage, so that's better than, say Equinox systems.

if possible, thats a pretty screwed up bug.

I have gone public into PoE twice, without taking a bounty.

First time it was a fun fishing party with 3 other guys, exchanging info on lures and fishing locations.

Second time I was thrown into a bounty with 3 others and in order to avoid being labeled a leech I felt like I have to tag along.

  5. Even if you can't solo the hardest bounties, there's a 90% chance there is someone in the group who can wipe PoE clean, so I can't care less about leeching there.

I myself also go after a wisp or two when its night if my entire team is MR20+ and everybody are racing who can nuke the ships faster.

Now what pisses me off is the Umbra with Hek I had the other day on a Trydolon, who even openly admitted he doesn't have an amp, did 0% damage and didn't capture a single lure, but didn't fail to die every 40-50 seconds.

Also, you do realize that someone who simply didn't queue solo and goes fishing can unwillingly become a host to a bounty?

  6. For maximum meme replace reach with maiming strike.

For Valkyr, my build is almost the same, but instead of Gladiator Aegis I have Intensify.

The only critique I have is Drifting Contact on Valkyr Talons, they don't contribute for the combo multiplier so that mod is only there for the status chance.

Last, a bit of an advise, run a Smeeta Kavat with Valkyr. Get Maul, Link Health, Link Armor, Hunter Recovery and Pack Leader, enjoy.

While we are at it, I'd like to ask, what's with almost every Warcry Valkyr having Flow, even without quick thinking?

  7. Now I can see why you are frustrated. Unfortunately that's Public for you.

That said, in normal missions you shouldn't really be encountering that many high level players. Also everything is doable alone, just upgrade your mods and you should be able to go solo. You have absolutely no reason to rush the star chart, I know I didn't have Eris unlocked until something like mr 12-14. Why not look for people with similar interests and play together?

I do realize this is an issue, but it's not as one sided as you make it out to be.

Example, in some fissure, where I'm trying to open my 20th relic in the last 50 minutes, some MR0-1 who has no place there , but obviously wants to get some easy rewards, decides to go around killing things that don't need to be killed and opening lockers that don't need to be opened, wasting 3 other players' time.

  8. And here I am marked by everyone, short of Boba Fett and can't even get New Loka to notice me 😕
But really, just build the negator or whatever it's called, remove the debuff you've been affected with and be thankful it wasn't Zanuka who went after you.

  9. Seriously, we have turned into society of whiners. Complaining for basic stuff left and right. Frame comes from SO, whine, frame comes from plains, whine, frame is absolutely free with a reactor and built in 1 minute, there were complaints about that as well...

These days I don't bother finishing any post that contains " a slap to the face, an insult, worst design ever" or something of the sort and 70% of the posts in this thread are exactly that.

    The current situation is:

Community: This game is mainly grinding, git gud or git lost.

DE: Here's a frame, which requires 2 hrs of grind.

Community: Blasphemy, heresy, burn them at the stake, so greedy.

You don't want to play PoE, eidolons or whatever else, fine, but don't blame what is essentially your problem on something else.

Also, you have plenty of frames from quests, planets, relics..etc. and a second from PoE... how evil can DE be, right?

Horrible grind? It took me 6-7 bounties to get all the parts and by that time people were already running around with him.

Nothing in this game is as a horrible a grind as most make it out to be, sincerely, someone who spent 6 months farming eye of divinity.

  10. Hate Kuva and if I receive Kuva 10th time in a row from sorties, I'm probably going to stop doing sorties altogether.

Also, if you think that 2k is something normal for a riven I've got bad news for you, yours is worth no more than 200 if you ever get a buyer.

At this point in the game, I also believe you're wasting your time with rivens, for all that time spent you have had the ability to reroll a riven...

Considering you can level frames and weapons, complete quests, farm endo for the primed/umbra mods, level your operator, build your dojo or go on eidolon hunts for arcanes, all of which seems way more interesting than.

Do you want to earn plat that much? There are countless ways. Farm void relics, corrupted mods, syndicate mods, Kubrow and Kavat imprints, have you seen how much some of the fish on the market cost and how many people don't want to go near fishing?

I just get the feeling that every 2nd person thinks they've struck oil because they know rivens are expensive and they got 1.

What warframe would be the best for the Missions below?

Feel free to add Augments/Mods/Weapons to go with them...

    Missions that require:

    1. Stealth: For example, deal finishers to High Profile Targets (Onslaught) or Spy Missions.

    2. Defending Stationary targets: Excavation/Defense/Mobile Defense Missions

    3. Defending Moving Targets: Hijack/Defection/Rescue Missions

    4. High Damage, Total Destruction, Excel in AoEExterminate/Survival/Arena/Interception Missions

1: Ivara and Ash. Also Onsought is in the high damage category.

2: Frost, Limbo, Gara for defence,  in low-mid lvl missions you can just go Equinox, press 4 and wait for the mission to end

3: Now here, a bit more detail is needed:

    1. Hijack: you have 3 options, personal preference is Inaros, since he has an insane health pool and a huge 20% total hp heal with 0 difficulty to execute:
      a) Stealth frame, so shields go only towards objective
      b) Shield restore frame, Trinity for example
      c) The no-shield tanks Inaros and Nidus
    2. Defection, who plays this, but it depends on the enemy level:
      a) Heal with Trinity or Oberon
      b) If you can easily clear enemies go with any DD that you like
      c) If you are having difficulty with killing enemies, you can go the CC route with Nyx, Vauban, Limbo or anything with spamable mass CC, E.G. Frost, Excalibur even.
    3. Rescue Missions:
Doesn't really matter, these missions are get to the target and get as fast as possible to extraction, if you want to go fast - Volt, Ash, Loki...etc.

4: Saryn, Equinox, Volt, Mesa, Nova, Mag, Excalibur, note that with an Ignis Wraith or Arca Plasmor any frame can be an AoE damage dealer. Also Arena requires something entirely different than what Exterminate and Survival need. Arena, as with The Index, requires non energy reliant and durable frames - Inaros and Rhino are the safest options.

Most important is, that you should play what you want to, there's no reason not to go with a Nova in a Spy mission if you feel comfortable with it and you can handle it.

  12. I'm currently experimenting with my Valkyr build, the toughest I fought is ESO and Sorites and so far its been a breeze, even managed to outdamage some Saryns along the way. I have never went for those 1h Mot runs tho, feels like a waste of time when I'm still rather new to the game and have plenty of stuff to unlock.

Steel Charge, Power Drift, Continuity, Blind Rage, Umbral Vitality, Umbral Fiber, Umbral Intensify, Hunter Adrenaline, Eternal War, Gladiator resolve at rank 1

Naturally this build doesn't have the life line of Quick thinking+Flow, for that I've got Arcane Grace and a Smeeta with Hunter Recovery and Pack Leader, also, since my melee (Venka Prime) is my primary damage source, I've put Life strike on Valkyr Talons.

P.S. Valkyr's really tough like that, but that cat is completely immortal.

  13. I'm not going to argue the usefulness of cc frames, especially when I hated getting both Vauban and Nyx to 30 with a burning passion because I felt like they were nothing more than crutches for my primary.

However, I like the idea of having a tool for a job. I have Saryn for ESO, Ash for Spy, Zephyr for PoE, Inaros for Index, Equinox for relic farm...etc., but I don't touch Nyx or Vauban because they don't fit in any "job" , moreover they feel detached from the ones available. Now if there was such a job... maybe that would be different.

  14. I was wondering the same for a while, barely did 10k a day and felt impossible to reach the 300k cap.

Well... it's actually quite simple, get greater focus lenses for each slot, but for the frame alone will also work, with lesser lenses in the other slots. Enter ESO and in about 3 runs of 8 waves, which is about an hour or less, you'll have your daily limit caped.

Eidolon hunt is also good if you're going for 3x and it also lets you go over the daily limit, but for that you'll require some set up, as opposed to ESO, where the only thing you'll require is a saryn, volt or equinox on your team, which has a higher chance of all 3 being on your team than none of them.

  15. I have a problem with polymer as well.

What I did was suck it up one weekend, got a pilfering swarm hydroid with a drop chance and drop increase boosters, got a bunch of movies to keep me entertained for what was about to follow and proceeded to Uranus, Assur, where you have another 25% bonus and spent the next several hours in there.

Find a dead end, turn around and start casting 4 every minute or so. At a rate of approximately 4k per 5 minutes it allowed me to get enough for everything that I needed, frames, weapons, archwings, clan research and even had some to spare.

On the bonus side, then I did some Saturn, Tethys for orokin cells to last me forever and ODS for about a 100 mutagen samples per 20m run, allowing me to do all the research from the biolab, apart from Hema.

  16. Use the LFG chat in game.

However I do believe you may have a hard time finding a group, because:

    1. There isn't much incentive to fight him apart from Nekros components

    2. He can be killed solo

I'd advise you to just try solo, it's doable.

I still remember, in mid June, almost a month after I started playing, I tried it with Ash Prime+Boltor+Furis+Carrier no catalysts/reactors or forma. It was an epic 30-40 minute fight, staying invisible as much as possible to avoid damage, almost died so many times, ran out of ammo multiple times and barely did it, felt awesome.

Then I tried it again a few days ago, decided to stick to Ash as a measuring stick+Tiberon Prime+Aklex Prime+Carrier prime. Went in with anticipation, only to realize how much I sucked the 1st time, because it took me more time to travel to Lephantis than the actual fight.

Moral is: Take your time, progress and then just 1shot him when you feel like it. Or if you are looking for a memorable experience, get some consumables, prepare a bit and go now.

  17. Well...from what I've heard there are some orbiter decoration rewards so there's that.

This, however is not a main feature so it should be as is, mainly as a distraction. Otherwise you'll get to the opposite spectrum, where you have so many things you feel obliged to do for your collection that it feels tedious. Currently (for people that haven't spent 1000s of hrs) there's plenty of things to focus on as is.

  18. I was looking for some online game that wasn't a salt mine akin to LoL, OW or those FOTM battle royal excuses for a game, while also having some progression system resembling an MMO but without the WoW-like hamster wheel of "new "content" every 3 months: "this boss does the AoE slightly different...oh and all your gear is now obsolete, go farm for the next 3 months again". Also it had to be free, but not P2W, since I've had it with those crap AAA blood sucking titles, aside from The Witcher series and fun to play with a gameplay similar to those hero shooters.

Strangely enough all of those specific conditions were met by WF.

P.S. I always smile when someone complains about the grind in WF. Being a grinding game aside, I've never spent that much time grinding for anything specific like I did in WoW. Around Cataclysm it was all: Grind rep, Grind daily quests for gold, Grind materials for potions and other buffs, THEN go grind that raid for a month, 4-5 hours an evening, only to hope you get that 1 item and nobody else wants it as well, then grind for materials to upgrade said item and if you have some time left grind XP with your alt and god forbid you wanted that alt in a viable state, nothing was account wide, all of this had to be done AGAIN. It was worse than a job.

  19. Sargas Ruk on Tethys, no competition.

The mission can be done in a minute and apart from him drooping 1, there's also a high chance you get 1-2 along the way.

I still remember I once got 4 or 5 from 1 mission without any boosters.

In fact, since I was farming Ember about 30-40 days ago, by the time I got the systems I had so many cells that only yesterday did I notice I'm running out.

  20. Hello everyone,

I'm kind of new to the game, joined late may and so far I've been having a blast. I still haven't gotten into some parts of the game and one is rivens.

So far the only thing I know is that I can sell them for plat and not that I certainly decided to become a trader, but I capped the capacity, so I need to get rid of some of them.

What I can't understand is, how is a riven defined as good or bad, is it only by how applicable its bonuses are to the weapon?

Also, is there some code of conduct, which calls for selling them maxed out?

Lastly if someone could tell me how much those below go for I'll be forever grateful 🙂

    https://imgur.com/a/nG0XfYO

Honestly, I haven even heard of some of the weapons for these rivens.
