  1. Ok... what is content then?

If new frames (new gameplay styles), new weapons, new missions, new syndicates, new bosses, new quests, new operations, new environments, new cosmetics, aren’t content, then what is?

    I’m curious.

I’d say being able to keep a player for 5 years is impressive. Shoot games with content that is designed to be done over and over (Overwatch for example) cannot even hold people more than two/three years.

  2. An abating link Trinity can be fun.

I have a “Dark Trinity” loadout that uses AL, an armor stripping Ferrox, Zakti, and my Plague Keewar staff (gas build) with Exodia Contagion. It’s very effective as close enemies have their armor stripped and die from the gas zaw. The ferrox traps enemies in choke points and I can finish them off with a few Zakti darts or a contagion blast. It’s a weird fun set up that just kinda works and can crank out a lot of damage too. And it won’t die because of the Blessing/link combo DR.

My Trinity Prime is so covered in dust, I'm not sure I can find her.

But Valk Prime is one of my mains, and is probably the one I am going to use my Umbral forma's on. I mean seriously, her claws have an 80% crit chance on my build, that's nuts in RPG terms. There isn't much she can't rip through, and what she can't is usually invincibility gimmicks.

I mean okay, slight comparison, back in the day on Marvel Heroes before that game got ruined and shut down, my Doctor Doom had a 50+% crit chance, and he was mostly a Summoner Doom, and that crit stat applied to his minions. The only boss I couldn't just plow over was Surtur, a raid boss.

And I thought THAT crit chance was nuts.

Now put gladiator mods on your melee weapon or deconstructor. Valkyr with red crits.

  4. This does not seem like it would fit with the idea that the crew are unique characters you meet/hire unless you can dictate a required dress code on your ship. Being able to customize your crew’s physical appearance would be akin to changing your Kavat’s tail or ear shapes.

Also I’d rather they focus on railjack’s core  gameplay and the different factions than adding in a complete new character editor system.

Exactly.. her kit is still the same without any decent changes

Wisp’s 3 was completely changed to a radial blind and damage distribution skill from its original form as a damage wave from motes (and is really good now.) Garuda’s 4 was completely changed (Also really good). Frames get tweaks changes before release. I’d expect something similar with this one. Having said that, he looks fun and decently effective at what he does (grouping, incapacitating enemies, buffing the squad, and tanking). We’ll see how the damage stats hold up on release. If his 3 is inline with Garuda’s b-ball of death, then he’ll be in a very good spot offensively.

Excal was my first, so he obviously has a special place for me. He was also the one I used through the cinematic quests - he broke War for me, infiltrated the Queen's fortress for me and helped me go toe-to-toe with Excalibur Umbra.

However, my main love is Limbo. My master of the rift. I felt drawn to him ever since I looked him up on the Wiki, and acquiring him was one of my early goals. I'm not entirely sure why he's so special to me, honestly. I just really associate with him. I also enjoy his playstyle a lot though - manipulating enemies, the environment... it's a lot of fun.

Nice. So I fought Excalibur Umbra with.... Excalibur Umbra. Gotta love bugs!

  7. I’ve seen a lot of worst Warframe and best Warframe threads, and I’ve even seen several favorite frame threads. But I have a slightly different question for you. What Warframe do you keep coming back to play and why? It doesn’t matter if they are bad, good, mediocre, ugly, or anything. What frame has a special place in your arsenal even if they aren’t your favorite?

In my case, it’s Nyx. She isn’t my favorite frame (that’s probably Gara/Garuda). She definitely isn’t an amazing frame. I just really enjoy her kit theme and trying to make her work in harder content. She’s also the first frame I crafted, formaed, and potatoed, and the reason why I chose my particular Syndicates. I just keep coming back to play more Nyx.

What about you? What weird reasons do you have for playing a particular frame?

  8. Mine is pretty great. We do vaulted relic runs occasionally, and the people are really helpful for weird random missions. I occasionally trade with people, but normally it’s just rivens because I don’t like to spam clan chat. So depending on the clan, the experience can be different.

Sounds like you just got in a mediocre/inactive one.

  9. Some Mods to aim for:

    Drifting Contact from Nightmare missions

Hells chamber, split chamber, barrel diffusion for multishot.

Learn how to successfully complete all 3 consoles in spy missions. There are a lot of nice rewards you can get from them (warframes, stances, 60/60 status mods, blood rush).

Try put some MR0-5 weapons that sound interesting from the description. They’ll be more useful to you now than later. The Hek, Galatine, and Atomos are very good.

Focus on getting through the star chart.

Do what nightwave missions you can and use creds on auras (energy siphon, steel charge, rejuvenation), potatoes, and then cosmetics for your favorite frames.

+slash, puncture, impact mods are bad. Ignore them. Use +elemental mods instead.

Play bosses/spy in solo mode first. They are more enjoyable that way.

Don’t look up anything about the games lore online until you finish the Sacrifice Quest. The Cinematic quests are very enjoyable, so why spoil them?

Make yourself some goals. (Get x frame, get x weapon, make a build to fight level 40s, etc.) You don’t need to try every thing at the beginning. Focus on what you like. You aren’t going to run out of content for a long while.

Stay away from eidolons until after The War Within.

I'm thinking about high level scenarios where she can be one-shotted when out of absorb mode. So I actually utilize the stun of chaos instead of chaos it's self. Sorry, I should be been more clear.

I feel that you may want a different frame if you are using her that way. Nova fits that bill.

If you still want to use Nyx, try the chaos sphere augment. You can use hat to cast chaos less often, while maintaining the affect.

Thanks for the reply, I have to try to coordinate with a few people in my clan to do derelict runs. Ive never done that stuff before.

So really, I'm looking for a build with maximum strength and as much duration as possible? I also heard that Mirage's 3 boosts her damage output?

Pretty much! Her 1 and 3 are pretty cheap. Strength multiplies damage delt by your clones, which can then be multiplied by your 3. Slotting in hall of malevolence is good too! For a build using her 1 and 3, you have no need for range/efficiency, but you won’t be able to get mb out of your 2 or 4. If you don’t have those other strength mods you could always fit in some more utility mods and get by just fine. Just being able to double your damage is good enough.

  12. Obviously the trio of Hornet Strike, Barrel diffusion, Lethal torrent. Then you’ll want a few dual stats 60/60 mods for your element of choice. (Corrosive/cold/heat, etc.) Fulmination is a good next slot. And then that last slot can be for -recoil, augur pact, a 90% elemental, another 60/60 elemental, a riven, or whatever else feels nice.

Now bring a nice melee weapon for dealing finishers and you are all set.
