  1. I agree with the DEvs that the trophies should be just for the top echelon in whatever event but I do like the idea of plaques or banners or something to show a clan has been involved in multiple events over time giving them a more solid in-game history.

I think with some minimum requirements for clan participation it could work.

Even as a member of a frequently 'winning' clan I'd like to see something like this. Banners with dates on them in one (or many) of the clan halls.

  2. Unless they delete our gear or make it all have an expiration date if no "additional payment" is made, etc.  I'm probably going to still play Warframe.

That dream of owning 700+ weapons/warframes to get to MR30 may not come true, but whatever I never really knew if it was going to come true anyways.

Other games?  Well.  Who knows.  Part of the dev team might separate and make Wargrate or something.  I'll probably Grand Master that only to have it bought out by an evil mega corporation a year and a half later too.

    XD

    Just what I was thinking.

  3.  Cute, but naive to a fault.

Depending on what is actually going down, PWE could end up playing any number of roles in the future of this game. Some of the possibilities are incredibly grim to people who've been burned by them in the past. They aren't as horrible as GamersFirst but they seem to give it their best shot.

If they do acquire Warframe in a sense that has them making the big calls then there is nothing a soul can do about it and not logging in for a month wont get anything changed. You make a choice for yourself - if what you feel the worst case scenario is occurs then is PWE a dramatic enough problem that you have to game elsewhere. If yes, then fine. Enjoy your next adventure.

None of that matters now, however. Right now we need to wait so that we can get official word on the scope of the issue.

I haven't had any experience with GamersFirst luckily, not as far as I know anyway. Are they really worse than PW? I didn't think it was possible.

  4. Welp, I've tried all sorts of things to calm people down. Reasonable statements and sarcasm doesn't seem to work, and I suspect people will just start panicking like chickens with their heads cut off a bit later in the morning.

I've been with this thread through the whole night (just not really feeling tired, plus I want to keep an eye on things). But I have to catch a bus in 4 hours which means I sort of need to leave in 3. So yeah, have to be heading off now.

Thanks for the work you've put in. Seriously <3

You might not've assuaged our fears but you've helped calm things down a lot.

  5. Given the speed at which conflictual situations can appear, shorthanding to the assumption of the worst is not an unreasonable call. However, with this particular case, Warframe would not be seeing damaging effects for at least 1 month by terms of the press release, and longer by terms of how long it would take to develop and implement the 'toxic' influences of PWE. In that there is sufficient time, the more prudent course of action is not to assume the worst and act on it, but merely to prepare until the receipt of more information on which to further prepare and eventually act.

I love every one of you. (PS4)s, I love you. Non-Founders, I love you. Founders, I love you. Devs, Admins, Mods, I love you. Lurkers, speakers, comedians, prophets, Tenno---

Thank you. Your calm is impressive and infectious in the best way.

  6. Yeah, just finished reading through the definition of outstanding shares. Outstanding shares do not comprise 100% of a company's shares, not by a longshot (unless the company went full public and unrestricted 100% of its shares).

Outstanding just means floating and unrestricted shares, and DE as the company holds control of the % of shares which are unrestricted. This means that they could have made 49% or less of their shares unrestricted/floating, meaning that PWE is likely not buying 100% of shares.

My guess is that DE wants to remain as the owner of their own company and have authority over design decisions, in which case PWE is literally just investing money by buying the outstanding (floating/unrestricted) shares. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd guess this number would be anywhere between 5 and 25% of total shares.

PWE is only getting as many shares as DE is willing to sell. DE can still restrict as many shares as they want to prevent PWE from buying them all.

    Please be true.

  7. Does your modem/router have eMTA? If it's handling a terrestrial phone line it may be translating ips within packets it's not meant to be like mine used to.

If you have the option, try using bridging mode on your modem and use a different router for the network.

You might wanna consider adding some more info though. "title..." isn't gonna help us help you.

  8. That was amazing.

Thanks so much! I love these inside looks into the processes of development and while I knew there was a lot of work going into this UI 'update' this interview really drove it home. You guys are remaking the entire front-end of Warframe. :D

  9. The only thing I'd suggest is that the solid floating parts be given slight physics movement to go with the flowing wings. They don't need to flap around like the energy cloth parts but with a bit of sympathetic movement I think it would feel a lot more integrated.

    Possibility, DE?

I wouldn't mind some extra particle effects like embers or something either since it's obviously meant to evoke a flame theme.

  10. Nope. Weapons and other cosmetics that got removed or were for limited time on the market dont return. The only items that have returned so far was the Brakk and Detron along with the hybrid Elemental/Proc Chance mods.

You wont be seeing Lato, Braton, Snipertron and Prova Vandals anymore nor will the Strun, Machete, Twin Viper Wrath versions come back either.

Wherever you got this info from it's outdated now. As Corvid's said, pretty much everything except the Founders' stuff can and will come back at some point in the future. It's just in the "Disney Vault" as DE have said on the DEv stream several times.

It says right there in DE's FAQ: "You may see them rotated within the Program but they will not be made available in-game". This implies that older exclusives will come back in new packs.

I'd forgotten where that info was, thanks for finding it. So hopefully that clears up about the Prime Access packs too. They're exclusive to Prime Access meaning you can't get them in any other pack but the items can be made available again in time.

  11. The Technocyte Virus (TCV) which created the infested was originally made by the Orokin to fight off the Sentients. That sort of nanotech would've been used in other ways before it was weaponised.

I'd say the 'trees' you see in Orokin and Tenno structures are probably neural computing analogues, part of (or the) the semi-organic computers which run the Towers, Dojos, Solar Rails and probably other Orokin-based technology. It's basically the same stuff that the infested are made of except it's running the aircon, lights, doors and gravity instead of eating people :p
