  1. DE... for the love of god... just stop messing with the scopes. Either ditch them altogether or give the option to toggle them off. The tweaks on the Vectis make it even harder to use since now the reticule just straight up disappears into the background.

Don't be THAT GUY who doesn't know when to drop a bad idea, OK?

  2. They wanted to make all the weapons viable and none of the weapons worthless so they made some of the weapons viable some of the time and the rest worthless the rest of the time.

I don't really care for it either. They basically removed one form of forced loadouts for another, more complicated version. The old "paper-rock-scissors" method is time-honored for its effectiveness in balancing many different types of games; but justly reviled for its sheer lack of inspiration and interesting mechanics. Seems like every potentially interesting step forward the weapon and damage system takes it gets shunted back two and a half.

Hopefully DE won't get hung up on their own hype and will continue to try and improve the system.

  3. The marketplace is the one way they could really screw this game up. Though history has shown that you can run a pretty successful business off of suckers alone. I would like to see Warframe rise above that and be played and enjoyed and profitable outside of the necessity for Stockholm syndrome.

"If you don't like it, don't buy it."

That mantra is absolutely garbage. The idea of business is to make people want to buy things, that's how it works. Again, while you can certainly make some cash off people who will just buy anything without thinking, why not try to address concerns and make pricing more fair for the general consumer? Don't see that as a problem, and it makes your business look more like a legitimate enterprise and less like greedy milk.

  4. I'd actually prefer to just have a general, readily-available (ie -- not tied to the dojo) "test range" map. Just a simple place to go and test weapon damage VS various static enemies. Maybe just as simple as some corridors with enemy spawners at one end. Anything would work.

  5. Always thought the idea seemed very Evangelion inspired, only human-sized. A biomechanical fusion of sorts. Though it seems pretty obvious that even if that had been the case at one point, the Tenno are at present just people with cool suits since the ones you defend in the cryotubes and rescue are sans-frame.

  6. Again, it's a very small price to pay compared to other F2P games. If spending $5 (or less, with login discounts) to buy a couple slots is the worst you have to shell out on a game, I'd say you're doing pretty well.

Here's the thing: "Free" to play games are not supposed to be entirely free. If they were, the model would never stand because... people need to make money. The idea is to arrange those pay walls in the best way possible so that people can play and enjoy the game yet still have inventive to spend money on certain things, and (especially) feel like it's worth it when they do. The latter is where most F2P games fall flat on their face and I really don't feel that's the case with Warframe, not yet anyhow.

  7. Most other F2P games are a good bit more restrictive. At least when you spend money on a gun in Warframe you get to KEEP the dang thing. The costs for slots is the ONLY necessary purchase in the game and they are not all that expensive in the grand scheme of things.

  8. Shotguns are not necessarily supposed to do more DPS... they're supposed to hit harder. Even if the two have the same DPS, I'd personally still opt for the Sweeper since I know it's going to be doing that chunk of damage all at the same time compared to being built up from individual hits over time.

  9. I think a better option would be to perhaps introduce some universal "skill" mods that can be attached to any frame in place of a primary skill. Though that might just lend to even more redundancy but, perhaps stick to utility sort of skills... could also leave room to rework some of the very situation utility skills already used by frames like Silence and Desecrate. Give Banshee and Nekros each a fresh new skill and introduce the universal Silence skill and maybe a Plunder that can be used by any frame to get extra loot from bodies?

  10. It's not about the rewards, the missions are all just the same very repetitive instance where you follow some Corpus around and clean up 50-60 infested, then extract. It's not interesting, its not imaginative and its not even at least visceral since there are so few enemies and the Corpus kill half of them. All the rewards in the world wouldn't make it enjoyable, more worthwhile maybe but they should be looking to offer something interesting foremost.

  11. The guy is apparently specialized in tracking down Tenno and murdering them.

You'd think that someone who specializes in the eradication of a single type of target would be specifically suited to deal with those targets in an efficient manner.

Which he is. He has essentially an EMP ability that shuts down Warframe powers, and his armor is likely equipped to nullify after-effects of Warframe abilities.

When you hire an exterminator to come to your house and get rid of an infestation, do you expect him to show up with chopsticks to pick the bugs up one-by-one, or a chemical sprayer specifically designed to kill said parasites?

    There's your justification.

That's not justification of anything, its called a MacGuffin, and/or bad game design. When you craft gameplay around certain key elements then abruptly decide to negate said elements to fabricate the notion of "challenge" you break your own game. Plain and simple. If DE wants Stalker to be hard to kill, then make him hard to kill, make him a challenge don't just give him an arbitrary god mode that ignores all of your abilities so he can own you in two seconds flat with his own.
