Because they said mid june is the estimated release date for the new UI which includes sacrifice now. Also they never release updates pretty much outside of wed-friday. Next week is the most likely release window if they can get it done.

As much as that is the most likely time to release, I still am hoping this week.

Hope for success, plan for failure and all that. What's one more week of waiting after two years or so?

It wasnt a problem until people abused sancti Castanas electric proc

Although the nerf already happened, it wasn't the electrical proc that caused mass death, it was how Castanas explode sequentially, one after another. Link automatically acquired new targets after its current one(s) die, so you were often seeing nine enemies die per explosion. Didn't happen with any other explosive weapons.

  3. I'm not sure that the game engine could handle 1000 players in one area at once.

In any case, most any toxic weapon with good burst DPS would still have a kill-time of under a second or two, to say nothing of warframe abilities (Equinox OHKO enemy with Tigris Prime, release Maim, insta-win).

Old Dark Sectors are the closest we came to large-scale PvP.

You know, watch Sacrifice drop Tuesday.

Just because Vampyr comes out that day. And I preordered it.

I'm hoping for a release early this coming week, with all the Redtext saying "no Sacrifice this week!" and DE refusing to drop any hints besides pictures. I feel like they're just red herrings/diversions to make people think it'll be mid/late June or just before Tennocon, then they'll drop it earlier and blow people's minds.

One can hope. I waited almost two years, I can wait a few more weeks if need be, although I won't be happy about it.

Yeah TC is right. There is a reson why it’s been exactly the same for almost 2 years and nobody complained or even used it until now. I remember after Ember got nerfed recently, some people were saying nuke trin is the new meta and everybody was like “aaright then mmmm hmmm”.

They can just add more heavy armored enemies in between Eos zones or something immune to her dmg such as Ancient healers. This is definitely a better idea than nerfing everything on top because it will prevent not just the trinity build but other spammable meta builds that follows. Another upside of that is DE can make it so that thay will act like Nightfall modifiers in Destiny so viable builds will change each week. Content creators and streamers will be happy so they don’t have to scratch their head what videos to squize out every week. I’m hopeful DE can do better than Nightfall modifiers.

I’m 100% sure after trinity gets nerfed something else will just take over her place and “ruin everyone’s experience” by being a santa clauss in a repetitive loot game in a game mode meant to be a focus and xp farming zone. Once people get their vandal sets it will eventually die out because who would want to do free work for randoms ? you can’t level up your weapon fast when you’re using trin.

Aviator was buffed almost exactly a year ago, before that nuke Trinity wasn't nearly as effective due to under 100% mitigation (Sancti Castanas also only got their massive buff a few months ago. Nuke Trinity didn't become a large problem until both of those buffs.

  6. Yikes, there's some serious Orwellian vibes here. There's common sense courtesy (not shouting slurs/profanity in public), and there's controlling speech (subjective people deciding what can and can't be said). It's especially concerning because this is a game on the internet. As I'm sure most of us know, the greater the degree of anonymity on the internet the more profane/rude people tend to be, even if it's only a degree or two of anonymity (i.e. a Warframe account). While Warframe has a generally good community (I used to play OSRS and oh boy, that got toxic), there will still be bad eggs in the basket, especially when given an avenue to speak like region chat.

I'm all for the idea proposed by @Sunder; have a basic chat censor list (common slurs, f/s-word, etc, etc, players would only see ****** if the censor is enabled), temporarily chat-ban people with multiple offenses for slurs (even if it's as little as two or three), issue a reprimand for even more problems, and eventually ban if it gets out of control. In addition, add the trade chat system where you can remove any words of your choosing (whether it would censor the word or hide the message is up for discussion), including adding/removing words to the censor list.

I understand DE wanting to create a respectful community in chat, but you can't police the internet. This problem is even worse when very subjective parties/parties with vested interest are the ones moderating, a la @Pent_'s link. When a person is deciding what can and can't be said, things can get out of control very easily.

This is a game where we make humanoids explode into gore showers, intestines and all. Why are we trying to force people to speak in 4th-grade terms? Idiots in chat will be idiots in chat, and in the real world you just have to ignore them and move on. Getting hung up on every real (and imaginary) offense is an unhealthy way to proceed, and just leads down a dark hole of speech control. Give individual players the ability to censor what they want and boom problem solved. All that's left are people who demand to control what other people get to speak or think, and those are people I'd rather not have in a position of power.

Best part is when a Volt told me that Saryn is OP that she needs to press one button to kill the entire room in Onslaught and a Trinity agreed to him.
The bigger issue is simply the envy and jealousy of players. They don't grant their fellow players any fun sometimes and only want to stroke their Epeen as hard as possible by seeing them highlighted at the end of the mission screen.
That is why Chroma got nerfed too. (And because DE thought that he is the only one who can "oneshot" Eidolons, even if i can do that with Trinity too.)

People cry on the forums because something performed better then they did in a mission, demanding nerfs instead of buffs for other Warframes. DE buys into it more easily, because of course  those are the louder crowd. Sometimes tho i have to admit. DE seems to hate us players having fun. Even if that should be the sole reason to play a game. I really were on the edge to deinstall Warframe after they killed Chroma with his survivability that hard. Making him nothing more but a wet cardboard box now.

Eh... Just glad that tomorrow i can play State of Decay 2 and i know it will get me addicted again like it did before. Then i can shelf Warframe for a good while at least.

Or, you know, people hate a single frame pressing one button (Sayrn), hiding in a corner, and the entire map begins dying with no other involvement. Oh boy, fun and interactive gameplay!

Players can recognize a stale and unhealthy meta. I personally couldn't care much less about the end-screen board, but I do enjoy actually getting to use my builds against enemies, instead of a single squadmate repeatedly wiping the entire map before I get to do anything.

i would love to hear why nuke trin is a expoilt to you?

Its just another nuke frame which is nearly required for a broken gamemode.

Adding on to this, it's an exploit because Link is supposed to pass on damage Trinity takes to enemies. The problem is, combining Diamond Skin/Aviator/Link, Trinity is completely immune to radiation, and as such is taking zero damage, yet linked enemies take full damage. Enemies should be taking the zero damage that Trinity is (if anything, the listed mods should cap at a 95-99% reduction. I'm fairly certain Aviator/Diamond Skin are flat values that allow Trinity to hit over 100% radiation reduction, instead of being calculated multiplicative with damage taken (i.e., impossible to hit 100%, similar to a logarithmic function)).

    Hi; i have a question on my mind since the chroma rework, but I haven't experiment myself enough to know and i'd like maybe some clarification ;

    I hope this isnt an already asked question ;

How does refreshable abilities work with a different power strength between the first cast and the refresh ?

Lets say I cast a refreshable ability (like Chroma's Vex armor, Nekros's Shadows, and such), with a base power strenght if 100%; and if I refresh them before the end of the duration, but this time with the Growing power and Energy Conversion buffs (+75% total bonus power strenght), are my abilities affected in any way ? And if not, shouldn't it be ?

Playing a lot with thoses two mods, i learnt the trick to recast my channeled/triggered abilities with the right set up ; but i'm still learning about thoses refreshables abilities.

edit : I haven't read the whole topic; but am i too late to ask any questions ?

I can answer this one. Refreshable abilities essentially snapshot the first cast; activating it again while it is still active keeps the initial value. To get a new buff, you need to let it expire/jump in a pit. This is actually super helpful if, for example, a Nidus friend links you while you have a corrupted buff. Activate Vex Armor, and then have ridiculous buffs as long as you remember to refresh it.

Shadows of the Dead may work differently, as that summons individual entities. I'm guessing it may be possible to have a mix of shadows at different strengths. For self-buffs though, the snapshot rule is in effect.

People have their opinion & i have mine. And people should stop imposing their opinion on others. It's not healthy.

    The hypocrisy is astounding.

Having an opinion is not inherently attacking somebody else's opinion. If I believe that nuke Trinity is unhealthy for the game, that in no way demeans or insults your opinion otherwise.

is an actual insult and a fallacious technique that does nothing but discredit your argument and make it appear that at least one of us is not interested in actual discourse, but loudly proclaiming our opinions to the forums, all the while shouting down the other side.

    This guy gets it. Bravo!

Yeah, shame on players for wanting to actually play the game and not just watch a Trinity jump up and down until they get rewards. How dare players not want to min-max the most meta-efficient method.

And bravo for strawmanning/poisoning the well/insulting everybody else. Truly, the model of good discourse!

Those frames fill the role that the gamemode requires from the player. Same is how for example back when we still had LoR, Vauban was part of that meta and now he's effectively as pointless as expired milk left outside in the summer's sun. It's all about having the right tool for the right job and since Onslaught requires you to keep maximal kill rates then one should expect to encounter anything that can achieve this task.

If the "most powerful" one gets nerfed, people would just simply move to the next best thing. Personally I feel that in situations like this we should just be team players and play another role in the team.

DPS Trin leaves no other role in a team. She does DPS, has infinite energy, infinite heals, and requires no LoS to kill.

There also is not a role that the gamemode "requires" from the player. Will a CC frame not do very well at onslaught to zone eight? Yes, but they excel elsewhere. The list of frames able to reach zone eight is far more than the meta few most people seem to think it is. The problem is, most people just want to mindlessly get their rewards the easiest way possible, even if that means playing the game as little as possible.

And yes, if the strongest method is nerfed, people move to the next. However, if the strongest is leagues ahead of the second-strongest, it needs to be brought in line with the next-strongest. Massive outliers are unhealthy for a game, either on the weak side or strong side.

Strawman aside, it's more an issue of being denied the ability to play because Trinity is destroying everything before you get to see it. Couldn't it be said that the people using this strategy are the ones seeking to "get top kills to inflate their E-peen"?

In any case, it's a mathematical exploit. Link is supposed to reflect self-damage, yet the Diamond Skin/Aviator/Link combo reduces damage dealt to Trinity to zero, ergo damage linked to enemies should be zero...but it's not.

Onslaught to zone 8 is completely possible without any Trinity/Equinox/Sayrn. Pretending otherwise to justify using these strategies (specifically Nuke Trinity) is pretty intellectually dishonest.

You say this like Chroma and Excal aren't meta. Try doing it with Nezha, Zephyr or Vauban

I see maybe one Chroma/Excal to ten Trinity/Equinox/Sayrn in onslaught. Chroma/Excal are not in the meta for hyper-efficiency. They're good, but not on that tier.

  15. Might be related to the new particles, but Warframe is refusing to use all of my card after this update, consistently seeing 60-80% usage at 90-100 fps when my monitor/settings go to 144hz (already enabled all max power options/disabled power saving). GTX 1070 SC.

Then again, power delivery in my current location is spotty, so it may be that instead. Never really saw these usage issues with PhysX, though.

  16. New to this thread, but still hopeful that Sacrifice is soonish. Steve stated the original plan was to release new particles with Sacrifice, but decided to release particles first for stability. Personally, I think best case is this week, possible two weeks, likely three to four weeks.

All I know is I'm going to lose my S#&$ when it finally arrives.

It's the fault of Elite Onslaught.  If you don't bring Trinity (Nuke or EV to support her) you're wasting your team's time.

Zone 8 is achievable even solo with many frames. Trinity is far from a requirement, she just keeps efficiency high til then. Passing Zone 8 with 95% or 20% efficiency is the same thing (far more efficient to leave/re-run at eight than continue to 16, anyway).
