  1. Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure. Tenno use the keys, but they are mere trespassers. Only I, Vor, know the true power of the Void. I was cut in half, destroyed, but through it's Janus Key, the Void called to me. It brought me here and here I was reborn. We cannot blame these creatures, they are being led by a false prophet, an impostor who knows not the secrets of the Void. Behold the Tenno, come to scavenge and desecrate this sacred realm. My brothers, did I not tell of this day? Did I not prophesize this moment? Now, I will stop them. Now I am changed, reborn through the energy of the Janus Key. Forever bound to the Void. Let it be known, if the Tenno want true salvation, they will lay down their arms, and wait for the baptism of my Janus key. It is time. I will teach these trespassers the redemptive power of my Janus key. They will learn it's simple truth. The Tenno are lost, and they will resist. But I, Vor, will cleanse this place of their impurity.

  2. If all you want is to go fishing/mining/scavenging, or even want to Teralyst hunt, it's easily the best way to do it. Grineer stay below level 15, and there's no mission zones to wander into.

If you want to do bounties, go to Cetus. Anything else (except for farming Tusk enemies, although why you would do that is beyond me), go Free Roam.

  3. In the same vein, it would be really helpful if Hok's Special actually listed the type of weapon it is. Currently, you have to guess by looking up what the individual parts can be (accidentally got a rapier the other day instead of the sword I thought it was).

  4. Are you overclocking? I've had issues when clocking my 1070 rather high where it would crash the GPU, then recover audio, but I would still be stuck with a frozen screen of the game but could fire my gun/melee/hear everything behind it.

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine did when I was having stability issues.

  5. I assume by "prestige" you mean forma.

95% of the time, a Prime piece of gear is going to be stronger than the non-Prime version. This varies of course; Fang-->Fang Prime is a tiny buff, Sybaris-->Sybaris Prime is a large buff. A max formaed non-Prime will likely be better than a Prime piece of gear due to being able to fit more mods, but you can always just forma the Prime piece of gear.

By virtue of having higher base stats, Primes will almost always be more useful in higher levels, even if only marginally. I would highly recommend getting a Reactor for Prime frames and upgrading to them when you can.

Were you testing it in single player or multiplayer? because being in multiplayer does decrease frame rate.

It's fairly consistent in both. Multiplayer is only a few frames less, maybe a 10 fps difference when people are using a fair amount of powers.

My pc is up to task with everything. I have a 750w psu and that setting is one of the first things i do in windows when i install it . I just built this system not a couple months ago. ALso are you running everything maxed out? i have all my settings on high and all the other special effects on also.

Everything is on ultra for me, including some help from Nvidia settings that enhance the game settings.

If that's the case, I honestly don't know. Your hardware should be crushing this game at 1440p. There's gotta be some obscure setting that's been enabled somewhere, or maybe it's a driver issue? Nvidia does have some recent drivers that were less than satisfactory.

  9. I think you have some wonky settings. My set-up is, overlock for all:

    i7 7700k @ 4.6ghz

GTX 1070 SC @ about 2-2.1 ghz clock, 4.5ghz memory

    Corsair Vengeance 16gb @ 3466 speed

Nvme M.2 drive (it does help)

I consistently get above 100fps in missions at 1440p resolution at 27 inches of screen-space with PhysX, and only ever drop into double digits when a LOT of stuff is going on. I even have SweetFX running at the same time, and can watch a video on my second 27 inch screen with no frame drop.

Is your PSU up to task? Is your CPU (lack of power can cause micro-stutters that hurt overall FPS) getting power, or your GPU not getting enough? It's totally possible that you power plan is set to save power in your Windows settings. Depending on your BIOS, settings that limit power can exist as well.

EDIT: Important; do you use just V-sync, or do you have a G-Sync monitor? V-sync is frankly horrible if you dip under a certain FPS, as it then shoots you to a lower one, i.e. if you drop below 60, it drops you to 30 to avoid screen-tear. Turn off V-sync in game, and turn on "Fast" in the V-sync category in the Nvidia control panel.
