  1. The majority don't like fast missions, so don't complain when they add features like the traps, cameras, door sensors, etc.

This isn't the proper way to look at this data. The largest group of people (Rank 3 - Medium) rank a Fast mode as 'kind of important,' but if you look, it needs to be rewarding, it needs to be challenging.

In the current implementation, people want to go fast, because, the reward is at the end. In the data, here, it says that more people are willing to explore, if the challenge is there, and the rewards are there.

  2. Do search for topics about your subject before starting a played out thread that pósters will overlook.

Do some research about your topic before you try to express yourself. The better informed you are the better your post can be. This might stop you from looking stupid.

Do make your topic title relevant to the topic. The posts with vague topic titles are getting old. They are usually a waste of time viewing and cause posts to be overlooked.

Dont start a post that addresses fairness grinding or trade principles. Life is an unfair exchange.

Dont start a post about taking away exclusives. If we cant have something others can not, there is no point.

Highly biased rules that promote shilling, but no actual discussion of heated topics.

If we don't speak out about things that we feel are unjust/badly implemented/unfair design, etc, then how will the developers know that we feel this way?

Dont start another PVP or nerf or balance thread. We know. They know.

"They know." Do they? Would they? If they implemented, they assume it's okay. It's not until someone speaks up, or multiple people, or all of the people speak up does it get noticed.

Dont start a thread to bash de or the devs unless you spent money and your complaint is related. Even then they didnt force us.

..., Really? Bashing the developers doesn't contribute anything, I agree, but why word it in such a way? Suggestions and discussion can happen between anyone in the game, if they paid or not. The people who PAID shouldn't be given a different game, than those who didn't. Western vs Eastern free2play models, NA/EU is against Pay2Win, or locked content. A person's opinion, if they spent 0 dollars, should be just as justified as those who paid $300+.

Dont start threads with opinions or suggestions firmly rooted in experiences with other games. This isnt Wow Lol or vindictus. De is not going to change things simply bcuz you like the Way another game did it.

It depends entirely on the game they're comparing it to. Suggesting DE makes an Auction House because Diablo 3 has one? Not relevant, the loot and progression system is completely different. Some suggestions are valid, though, in terms of gameplay and suggestions for content. DE has created a nice game, but there is no reason to completely forget about the games that came before it, and what they did right.

Dont start a post that addresses fairness grinding or trade principles. Life is an unfair exchange.

Is it okay to discuss whether or not the RNG is broken? Because people consider it's currently implementation 'unfair.' Are you suggesting people just accept it, without discussing it?

I find all these rules arbitrary, people should be allowed to discuss what they want, until a moderator sees fit to lock it. Hopefully with a suitable reason, at the time of the locking.

  3. I guess?

The movement for bring the Founders Package to PS4 is present. They never got a chance.

If you didn't buy it for the PC when you had the chance, that's your own damn fault.

Good, good, let me just call up my buddy with a PS4, so I can buy it on my PS4 account and transfer it over to my PC account.

    Exclusive, schmooclusive.

  4. Honestly

I'd be alright with a PS4 re-release of the Founders Program for like, 2 weeks. Which i think would be more than enough time considering the program has come and GONE and this seems to be the ONLY way to get the PS4 players to stop crying foul..

If PS4 players buy the Founder's Pack, on PS4, can they bring their items over to the PC? Just like PC players are allowed to bring their toys over to PS4?

  5. which is another reason why they should give the playstation a chance. Nothing like showing off things to people who couldn't have it in the first place. though i know that is the reason to remain exclusive right?

As a PC player, this is the solution I'm paying most attention to. PC Players get their Excalibur Prime on PS4. If PS4 gets an exclusive, do they get to use it on PC?

  6. Nothing useful, new, or even logical has been posited by the supporting side for the last I dunno 35 pages of posts, the only thing that has come out are further quotes and posts from DE about the status of the Founders program (i.e. Over) all of which are discounted out of hand by a couple of posters so entrenched in their opinions that even a direct Post from DE probably wouldn't get any different of a response than has already been posted.

You should go back and read the last 35 pages, then, because there have been a multitude of arguments by PS4 and PC members as to why Exclusives are bad, as well as potential fixes. Some PS4 members want their own Founder's Program, other people would like to see alternate items released to alleviate the pain of game play modifying items in the game.

The interesting thing to note is that a majority of the arguments AGAINST a re-release of Founder's items is: "DE said No, give up, stop talking, just -die-." Even when alternate proposals are given, or alternate points are provided. Just because someone tells us no, are we supposed to lie down and accept it?

Also, seriously, a lot has happened this past 35 pages, you're completely off base suggesting it's been the same birds chirping.

  7. You both make very good points, and I now encourage you both to stop responding to this thread.  let it fade, let it die.  The bullheaded arguing here is the only thing keeping this silliness alive, if you don't respond it will fade from the front page and that's the only way to win here.

It's pretty clear from the 'logical' circles that have been worn into grooves during the course of this thread that the supporters of the original premise are so convinced they are right not even the clearest evidence would sway them otherwise.

Would you rather a giant thread of people only agreeing with each other?

  8. Maybe you're not aware of what an SDK is, but Dota runs on the Source Engine, which has had an SDK and toolkit for as long as I can remember. Therein lies the notable difference. Many other games have mods and the like as well because they run the equally common Unity or Unreal engines that have had mod tools around for years now. And perhaps I am mistaken, and the Evolution Engine is nothing more than an Unreal offshoot or similar, but so far I've yet to see an SDK.

How the SDK works in DotA 2 and TF2 and CS:GO are all unique. It's a vague model viewer, that only confirms you've made the step from Maya -> .mdl. Back when the DotA 2 workshop was released, files were uploaded to the workshop manually. CS:GO does a nice job, nowadays, as you actually can view your progress in game, and upload it directly from there. (However, this is skins only, but, damn, is the method great.)

There is no DotA 2 specific SDK, still. However, they've since implemented an in-game menu to view your items on the character, so you can verify they work correctly (without overwriting game files.)

  9. Balance pass. Balance 2.0, Balance Returns, Balance 2: Electric Boogaloo, whatever, just. Do it.

Trim up the mods, introduce interesting mods, (+ projectile speed?, - projectile speed?) Remove damage-based mods, make Braton different than the Soma, different from the Karak, instead of just 'more powerful' or 'better.' Mastery rank lock some weapons, buff/nerf enemies, level out some values.

Seriously, BEFORE a Badlands/Factions, things need to be tuned, so everything isn't 1-shottable.

  10. There's still a huge problem with the steam workshop.  Those items get implemented into the game, yes - but the creators also get paid for them.  25% of all sales go to the creators.  With the platinum model used in game, that would be very difficult to track at best.  For the PS4, it would be nigh impossible.

This is probably one of the hardest problems to solve. It's simply impossible to associate an actual individual value with every platinum spent. 1,000s are given out weekly, for free. Some people buy platinum at 75 Plat/$4.99, revealing at 15plat/$1.00. While it may be possible to value an individual player's platinum value, looking back at their past purchases, with trading, things are all muddled.

But, it's not completely helpless. DE would need to associate a value with platinum, (probably something along the lines of... 100 / $1.00. (This covers a $199.99 package at 75% off.)) Then can dispense $$$, as a portion of that. I'm not saying this is the optimal plat/$ value, but, it's possible.

And, it's a shame to see all these people unwilling to use Steam, in this thread. It's a real shame.

Except There isn't an Evolution Engine SDK as far as I can tell. So while it's a nice sentiment to submit new models and the like for review, it is currently only readily done because there are toolkits for implementation into those games you speak of.

'Toolkits' for 'implementation'??? Vaguely, DotA 2 workshop was released without any official support on getting models into the game. There was a third party tool that converted Maya files into .mdls. It all depends on how Evolution handles models, is the biggest hurdle. I'm sure DE doesn't want to write a toolset for people to use, to get items into their game, but, I'm sure they went to Steam Developer Days and watched the 'UGC' talk. I'll link it:

    "Embracing UGC"

Also, another interesting talk for those who are interested in virtual economies in games:

    "In-game economies of TF2 and DotA 2"

  11. Kick him, obviously he doesn't match the clan's ideals. If everyone else is willing to donate plat, and he isn't, isn't that the point of a clan? To bundle like-minded individuals?

Edit: While anything can be farmed, Platinum must be bought. He can trade for it, if he absolutely must contribute, so there is no reason for him to have no platinum to donate, right?

  12. Inb4 we get a mod that increases range at which we pick up items. By 1/2/3/4/5 %, because we need more useless mods.

Yes, yessss... Band-aid fixes for everyone!

  13. Why can't Warframe's be given a radius to grab items? Having to run DIRECTLY over ammo boxes and Mods, and, everything else... Isn't fun.

Why can't it be fixed, and let Carrier increase the radius, even more?

  14. Before everyone goes all quote crazy on me, let me clarify that:

For something to become traditional, then you can assume it was worn for a purpose. If HIGH-RANKING Orokin Commanders wore it to detonate rank, or as a uniform thing, where did it come from in the Tenno culture to wear it as well?

I'm not too sure about the lore, but Tenno came around later, after the Orokin had gone away. Did they wake up, wearing these Syandanas, and the rest thought they should wear them? Or are the Tenno in the cyropods all HIGH-RANKING Orokin Commanders, such that, it became traditional after they've been awoken?

They've lost part of the memories, according to the lore, so did they find... graphical representations of the Syandanas of long ago?

There ARE questions to be asked through it, but, then again, does Warframe have lore?

  15. The issue with a Derelict version of Excalibur is that if the model is any good, everyone is going to want a Derelict model of there favorite warframe. Then DE is in a situation, again, where it's potentially going to make people unhappy no matter what it does (not make more Derelict models, make more derelict models). Then again, anything it does or doesn't do about this subject is likely to make people unhappy.

DE should not make more exclusive items. I can't see anyway that will actually make anything better, and not make everything worse.

I don't think we're proposing alternate, new exclusives. At least, I'm not. Make a Derelict (or Beta, whatever you prefer,) version of Excalibur, make it drop in the void, sell it for Prime Access, etc. Just make something of equal power available. This applies with ALL past exclusives, so players may keep their Lato Vandals and Lato Primes, give us a Corrupted Lato and a Lato β, different variations that are similar gameplay wise. It doesn't devalue anyone's existing items.

I also like to propose that ALL the Primes be released simply as skins, with no power bonus associated with them. Let them behave as alternate model-swaps for the guns, keep them rare, make them a status item, not a gameplay item.

    1) Since the advent of DLC, almost always, yes you can. Most publishers put up the pre-order content either day one, or shortly there after for a slightly higher than your average DLC fee. A few even eventually give you a way to unlock it in game for free. Or at least most publishers of games I care about anyway.

    2) Why are you pointing to a bad practice to help make your point? Pre-order exclusives that never became available again were a terrible practice that lessened my ability to enjoy certain games, and made me bypass others all together.

Reiterating this, most DLC these days is a temporary exclusive package that people can buy later, or is given out later. Exclusives exist in a variety of forms, but I don't see any exclusive gameplay items this side of the hemisphere. It might be a classic motif in the Asian market, but NA/EU markets try to make things fair, so people don't get upset. Locking Excalibur Prime, Lato Prime, and Skana Prime (as well as the Closed Beta Lato Vandal, and Open-Beta Braton Vandal, plus any other exclusives I might've thought about.)
