  1. My guess is that they'll introduce a new class of rails that costs 10x as much and is twice as effective in conficts (or some other similar numbers), and keep repeating this escalation until they get the environment they're looking for.

  2. There are only a couple dozen Dark Sectors on the map.  There are way more than twice that many clans with the resources to make the things trivially at those prices (many veteran players could make one solo.  Large clans could probably queue up dozens without blinking.  All you need are 50 clans/alliances that want to own a node and you've got perpetual contesting.  In all likelyhood you'll have hundreds, to the point where whenever a conflict ends it'll be a lottery to see who gets to be the next challenger, and the nodes will only be available for normal missions during whatever cooldown exists between fights.

I really can't understand how DE could possibly have thought that price was even close to big enough to require alliances for people to build.

(Also, with the number of nodes likely to be the same on PS4 when we get this, I can't see any way that a single price can balance out this system on both platforms, considering how many more players/clans/alliances will be competing for that same number of nodes on PC than will be on PS4...)

  3. The PS4 build will be based on 12.0.last, and so won't start being converted until a few days after 12.1 comes out on PC.  Usually that means about 10 days after the release, but U13 looks big and buggy enough (and we haven't even seen what problems may lurk in the Dark Sectors themselves yet) that it may take them two weeks of hotfixes rather than the usual one before going on to new content/considering the game stable enough to send to the PS4.  So that means submitting to Sony on the 21st at the earliest, and more likely the 25th or 28th.

After that, Sony will take (historically) between 3 days to 2 weeks to approve and uput it up. So if everything goes maximally smoothly it still won't be any earlier than the 24th or 25th, and it's much more likely to be in the first week of may.

  4. We might get an update before May, but it certainly will not be U13.

We are getting one that isn't U13, probably tomorrow or monday (it's already in cert).  But it's mostly stability stuff and Dex Furis/Proto Skin (possibly also Helios, but they've been cagey about calling it U12.6 so there's a good chance that the anneversary stuff is the only new content.)

On the other hand, I strongly suspect that they will submit U13.0.last to Sony within less than a week of U13.1 coming out on PC, so if they manage to stabilize U13 in one week's worth of hotfixes rather than two, that means around April 20 with finishing Sony's process before the end of April a srong chance.  If they spend two weeks on U13.0, which seems not at all unlikely, then yes, maybe a tiny chance of us getting it April 31 and much more likely early May.

  5. Why isn't the PC trading post forum read-only (like the other PC recruitment fora) when logged in to a PS4 account, rather than being completely unviewable?  Considering that it can be read perfectly fine when logged out completely, it isn't as though having it that way preserves secrets or anything...

(Don't know if it's the same the other way 'round...)

  6. It's not auto-fuse specific, but related to the number of mods fused.  (I had it happen, tried doing the fusion manually and got the same issue, and ended up doing the fusion in ~100 mod chunks and didn't see it then.)  The threshold is somewhere around 200 or so, I think.

  7. I've been doing a lot of T1 exterminates lately, and I've noticed that when I get a T1 key as a reward, it has literally always been a T1 Mobile Defense key.  Is this just an astonishing coincidence, or does each T1 tower drop the keys of another one, forming a chain?  If so, how exactly does that chain go (and which T1 key drops exterminate keys most/all of the time?)

  8. The strange part is that, supposedly, the entire purpose of the Void Table update was that Ember Prime was too grindy...and then they go and make Rhino Prime even more grindy than that.

(And it's worse on the PS4, because PC people had a couple of weeks of being able to make keys quadruple themselves. Which I'm sure was annoying, but it's a lot less painful than any way of farming keys currently available...)

  9. With regard to helmets, DE should really make Prime warframes unable to use unprimed helmets.  (They never look quite right, anyhow.)  The prime frames could then have their own alt helmets (which may make more sense as rare, tradeable void drops than alerts).

But in general, if you're going to get rid of the statted helmets, just get rid of them entirely.  This game absolutely doesn't need any more things for incumbents to have that new players can never, ever acquire.  Having some of those things be as good as the Vanguard helmet would be absoultely horrible for the game.  Compensate the people who lost them with something else (one legendary core per 5 unique hats you have getting nerfed, say, rounding up.), or don't, but take them all out of the game if you don't want them to be in the game.

It may be time to redraw some of the planetary maps.  Interception would be far less of a problem if it didn't gate off both exits from Earth.

  10. With regard to rescuing rescue: please don't. Kill it dead instead. Escort missions are not fun, have never been fun, and will never, ever be anything other than pure anti-fun. It is frankly baffling why game designers are so universally unable to grasp this simple fact or so hubristic to think that they are the ones who will finally 'get it right', but it is long past time for some of them at least to give up and let this go to gaming history's dustbin.

  11. So, what parts of 12.4.5 are we not getting?  Between the frost fix, broken light tweaks that are moot, and the Tethra Rewards, which I'm absolutely assuming we're not going to have to wait a month for, really the only change left is the trading chat post frequency restriction...

  12. I'm not comfortable with a different Tenno for each warframe approach, we craft them at the end of the day and also where do cryopods fit in?

We craft the frames, but theTenno would be our Warframe slots, which we apparently buy on the open marketplace from the Lotus (or, ocassionally, Davro.)

  13. Well, we're now past the point of having had an entire two weeks (which appears to be the length of the cycle from PC alert evidence) with no Nightmare alerts, so "freakish run of bad luck" has officially been ruled out. This feature is definately broken on the PS4; can we get word of an incoming fix for it?
