  1. PS4 Tenno, Update 12 is coming today! Stay tuned for word on deployment, Zephyr Rises today!

Thanks for the heads up Rebecca, I know you guys are pretty busy but is there any chance of a link to patch notes/details? or is it best to just view pc patch notes? will be returning to warframe this evening to see the changes and hopefully continue to enjoy the game.

  2. I'm debating between two builds with my shotguns and I'm wondering if it's worth having punchtrough on them or not. Anyone have tried this and can give some feed back?

I currently use the seeking force mod on my boar prime, play mainly long runs on mid to high lvl survival, worth a forma IMO to fit it in nicely, plus you could always swap it out for something with the same polarity, if your the type of player that likes to clear hallways and rooms quick and you play mainly survival then its worth a try and also quite fun :)   good luck!

  3. Hello, as you can see I am a PS4 Warframe player.  I am also a man but ever since I found out PS4 players will not get Legendary Cores I no longer feel like a man.  The world has become dark and I can no longer see a point to existence.  I walked by a school a few days ago and some sixth grade PC players called me names and teased me because I won't get any Legendary Cores. I feel broken that my leisure time playing video games cannot be fulfilled to the highest extent. My boss just demoted me because I have no Legendary Cores. My wife is now sleeping with a homeless PC player.  I think he may have at least six Legendary Cores. Today I was told I could not use the restroom at a restaurant because I am a PS4 Warframe player and I don't have a Legendary Core.  If only I could get just one Legendary Core then my life would have more meaning.

    ^^^LMFAO   +1

  4. Given how stupidly high the status chance is on this thing (40% before mods), I'm wondering if punch through would help turn this thing into a serious crowd-control weapon. Furthermore, can status effects even proc off shots that have punched through another target?

definitely worth a forma to fit in seeking force for crowd control, I've just finished building this 3x V polarities 2x - polarities, IMO this gun is an absolute beast

  5. Like mod when you pick it up you just get plain white text that says "Detron Receiver" really small at the side of the screen.

thx I got the blueprint, pretty sure it was an orb, with the small text saying detron blueprint, was using the sweeper sentinel so just wasn't sure, thx again

  6. Err, let's just look at it from a raw damage per shot point of view (put aside stuff like elemental bonuses and resistances).

Hornet Strike and Magnum Force are for base damage.

Elemental and I/P/S mods are elemental damage (in the way that they are calculated).

Then you've got multi-shot (Lethal Torrent and Barrel Diffusion).

    Crit mods.

And lastly you have bane type mods.

The damage you do per shot simplified and ignoring crits is pretty much (1 + base %)*(1 + elemental %)*(1 + multi-shot %)*(1 + bane%).

With just Hornet Strike, that's 320% total base damage from the original value. With both base damage mods, you'll have 386% base damage.

For multi-shot we're just simply take it at face value for 280% (both mods maxed out). You can see that these are constant. It doesn't matter if we increase base damage or elemental damage, the multi-shot will benefit you the same regardless and you will see equal benefit.

This leaves elemental and bane mods.

If the bane mod is available (meaning not Void), then it is ALWAYS better than Magnum Force. 30% extra damage at all times versus 20% extra damage at all times. Like the multi-shot mods, you will always see the same benefit from taking it, 30% more damage from all the other sources totaled together. So assuming a bane mod is available, that's 3 mod slots left for elementals and Magnum Force.

If you choose the three weakest available elementals from a damage per shot perspective, you have Ice Storm, Deep Freeze, and Pistol Pestilance for 40%/60%/60%. If you do a Viral build out of all three, then you'll have 320%*260% => 832%. If you choose Magnum Force for one of the 60% elementals instead, you now have 386%*200% => 772%. So if you choose the three worst mods for straight up damage per bullet, you get less return out of subbing one of them out for Magnum Force. If you use Magnum Force over Ice Storm, you will do roughly 2% more damage but lose the 40% ammo capacity (I don't think it's hard to see which is better). If you choose the best three mods for straight up damage (90% mods), then we have 320%*370% => 1184%, while subbing Magnum Force nets 386%*280% => 1080%. So if choosing between three elementals or 2 elementals plus a Magnum Force, three elementals should typically win before we even take into account bonuses against different types of enemies.

If a bane mod is not available and we're choosing between four elementals and three plus Magnum Force. In this case, Magnum Force is probably marginally better in terms of pure damage per bullet. Adding a 60% elemental to a 90%/90%/90% combo will net an additional 16% raw damage, which makes Magnum Force better by 3%. In the worst case scenario for elementals (adding 40% elemental on top of 90%/90%/90%), that's an additional 10% damage from Ice Storm, and about a 9% advantage for Magnum Force.

So at best, you can get a setup with Magnum Force that would deal 9% more damage per bullet than a quad elemental build. In many cases, you'd be doing equal or even less damage instead. And this is before we factor in procs and elemental damage bonuses. You will also have probably a smaller clip size, and you would lose a lot of accuracy in return for this tiny increase in damage.

Magnum Force is not that good.

    ^^^^^^ awesome post +1

  7. So basically im at the point where i have a good set of mods ready for my build. I know this has probably been asked x100 before but a current best method would be nice. So. Where can i rack up on the credits and mods for fusion work?

best way for credits (if you got platinum) is buy a credit booster from the market, then run some T3 caps, a shade under 50 k per run which can be done in like 5 mins, for fusions try and catch the infested invasions, find the node what is survival on this invasion and take a good nekros or 2, me and my clan mate both run nekros in the infested invasion last night and was getting over 100+ pickups (mods and cores) per run, with each run 35 mins for the 2 void keys, hope this helps, have fun :)

  8. I killed the harvester again yesterday (saved another player) got ANOTHER Detron Receiver.

So thats 2 for 2 and exactly the same part.

On a side note, I have all the stalker weapons now, I am sick of killing him.

did the receiver drop look like a mod or an orb?

  9. Ah well finished Formas i haven't gotten in a while. I was referring to the BP. Those drop ok. But finished Formas are supposed to be rare so...

And i don't know if the drop table change is active on PS4 but on PC finished Formas do now only drop from T3 Ext.

drop table change has not landed yet, but thanks for the tip (T3exterm) looks like i need to keep hold of any T3 exterm keys I get, ready for the update, used to get quite a few fully formed forma from survival, sometimes 2 or 3 a run, but none of late, my platinum stockpile has been taking a beating due to rushing forma.

  10. Interesting, thing is I made lots of weapons then had to pay platinum to have more slots. As much as I love this game it almost feels like everything ends up costing platinum right down to the little things.

the only thingS I've spent platinum on is warframe slots, weapon slots, catalysts and reactors, and the warframes that cost only 75 plat (well worth it)  what i am pissed at though is, they must have nerfed forma drops cant get forma anywhere

  11. yada yada yada got no proof, yada yada Ima troll... I thank u extremely narrow minded Loki for all the constructive input you've shared with us in this forum post.

add me on psn if you would like proof, 3 spawns 1 blueprint, are you sure you never missed the orb he drops? i use sweeper so dont have this problem

  12. Good idea never looked at it like that. So modding for ancients, napalms etc and perhaps secondary for the little guys

or the other way around if you have a powerful secondary :)   think its all down to personal preference as to what dish you would like to serve to the enemy, and which gamemode your playing at the time

  13. not sure whats the best at the moment, but you want to try and mod for the most dangerous/bigger enemies, also use different combos with your secondaries and melees, so you can cover more damage types. I personally go 50 mins + survivals so tend to mod for the most dangerous enemies that i will encounter in that mission, all the smaller stuff seems to die anyway so no point in modding for them on your primary IMO

  14. There is a simple solution. Get on a high ledge or crate and kill him from there.

^^^^then go do some ODD, stand on the ledge with a fully modded penta and tell all your friends how beast you are at reaching wave 60! <------(sarcasm). or you could use your skills and face him like a true space ninja
