  1. I'm not even sure now how many times I've seen this obtained on a Stream, particularly after the "fix". Still don't have it, rapidly coming to accept that I won't be getting it at all - which is a shame, because it looked pretty darned good.

If only it weren't attached to watching streams...

  2. Yeah, I'm getting the same issue. It also freezes when I go into the Launcher Options and try to Verify Cache.

I've tried reinstalling (via Steam) but that hasn't fixed it.

EDIT: I'll state for the record that I don't have anything like MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, or anything of their ilk running in the background, nor is Warframe being blocked by my network. The Launcher and Warframe.exe's themselves are set to run as Administrator.

  3. Day 3 - Dawn: Nope, still no email. I mean, it's not like I'm surprised anymore - if it wasn't in by noon yesterday, it wasn't going to be in today - but I *AM* disappointed.

Yet another outbound email from me, I guess, not like it'll matter in time to make the least bit of difference.

EDIT: The Support folks just got back to me, which is good. Got the codes and all that sorted out, but the meat of the message was as follows:

" As you can see in the screenshot, the e-mail you provided in the form for the codes is not the same as the Warframe account you are contacting us from. Please always review and double check the information you type in online forms to avoid these kinds of issues in the future. I was able to track your Digital Ticket purchase via our Master List, and was able to track down your codes. "

So, for future reference: use the same email as the one you have hooked up to your Warframe account.

Duly noted, Support team. Duly noted. And another shout-out in thanks for solving the problem!

  4. Welp, it's the next day and still no Email with the code.

    So *that's* totally rad. FAN-tastic.

I'm going to be busy most of today and tomorrow, so I won't realistically have much chance to getting to Baro within the current allotted timeframe.

The only potential consolation (miniscule though it may be) is that the last I checked, the money was going to charity. So some sort of Karmic/Moral win? Maybe?

In my case eventbrite said "typical ticket response time is 4 days". I heard nothing back from them.Their fine print says all that stuff is left up to the event organizer to sort out (like they wash their hands of it).

DE response was just an automated auto responder asking to upload other details (I uploaded eventbrite invoice).

Day is pretty much over and all those support tickets have been submitted many hours ago now.

    Frustrating

While it's by no means any consolation, at least you/we aren't alone. I'm going to wait about another hour, then I'm calling it a day until tomorrow. I've followed their support ticket protocol and I've gotten zero response (not even automated, frustratingly).

Even though I have everything Baro's got on offer, it's still the principle of the thing, innit?

At least on Monday my copy of Gundam Versus will be in, so I can focus my frustrations elsewhere.

One quick thing for those who are still waiting, it appears that Baro is at the TennoCon relay for the weekend.  The current countdown clock says he will be leaving in 2 days, 20 hours and some change.  So there's that. ; )

Well, that's a bit of a load off my mind. All the other stuff can wait, but Baro is time-sensitive.

On the other hand, I have everything Baro's ever brought anyway, so I'm not too sure why I care...

At any rate, I'll definitely send a ticket to support if it's not in by tomorrow morning.

  7. WELL.

I have a lot of conflicting feelings about this news.

On the one hand, Mynki's wonderfully fresh design aesthetics are what got me into Warframe all those years ago, and are a large part of what has kept me coming back day-after-day.

On the other hand, I want whatever he thinks is best for him, and I desperately want him to succeed at life in general.

Can... can he be hired on a freelance basis from time to time at least?

All this is not to say that Geoff isn't capable or bad or anything - he's got great ideas, and I'm sure he'll be really good for the job.

At any rate, good luck to both Geoff and Mynki, may your exploits be many and of utmost success!

  8. Personally, I really like the blinding idea that it comes with, but the implementation is a tad underwhelming.

I mean, you can increase the radius and duration using melee mods (Reach/Primed Reach for blinding radius and that one Status Duration increasing mod for duration), which is really neat.

  9. I guess I'll start with the basics - the rest of the elemental Dual Stat mods for Archwing:

    ArchGun Cold+Status

    ArchGun Electricity+Status

    ArchGun Toxin+Status

    ArchMelee Cold+Status

    ArchMelee Electricity+Status

    ArchMelee Toxin+Status.

That we are still missing these still irks me pretty strongly. It helps perpetuate this image that the devs don't seem to care about Archwing, which makes people avoid it even more for some reason (when I've asked certain players why they don't want anything to do with Archwing, this is a reason I've had as a response multiple times. I do not know why.).

At any rate, MORE ARCHWING MODS! Let's go lateral:

An Archwing DualStat that increases both Item Vacuum Radius (and strength) and Archwing Energy Regen

Nice. Do you suffer from the illness? Keeping pretty much any and all mods/warframes/weapons?

I can state with great certainty that I, for one, have the illness. In SPADES.

I've been here a LITTLE less time than some of the REAL vets, getting in around December of CBT, a while before U5, iirc. I wound up making a new account when I snagged a Founder Pack and here I am, however many thousand hours later.

Umm... some clarity on this please? What does common vs uncommon vs rare refer to here? And please, I don't want speculation, I want DE to answer this question.

That'll be the Rarity (or lack thereof) of the Drops from the Fissures. So basically, no more 50-Ducat Common drops like Nyx Prime BP from Lith S2 or Neo V1.

On the PLUS side, it looks like that hasn't yet taken effect, so grind for easier Ducats while you can!

Here's to hoping that when they DO make that change, they'll also make it clear and obvious on the Fissure Reward Selection Screen whether a drop is Common, Uncommon, or Rare. Seriously need that if the Ducat values for parts are going to be changed in such a fashion.

And if Prime parts are only obtainable during these Alerts you can kiss a massive number of players goodbye. At least, I strongly suspect as much; making all Prime Gear as random as Vauban is now is neither fun nor engaging to your player base.

I am fine with Void access from Star Map missions. I am even fine with that access rolling around the map. But all Void missions need to always be available somewhere.

Honestly, what Fifield said is pretty much the impression I got from Steve and Co. over the course of the times they've talked about the New Void Arrangement on the Devstreams: You'll have a bunch of different, replayable-to-your-heart's-content nodes that will pop-up/get-highlighted on the Starchart, which will be of randomized types but have a more general reward system based on difficulty tier as opposed to the actual tower type you're running on that node. At least that's been what I've been getting from the times they've talked about it. Could be wrong or misinterpreting though, or remembering older material that has since changed.

EDIT: and for the record, I don't really mind the current Key system all that much, though I would be partial to a system that allowed you to do Pick Up Groups as opposed to premade/recruiting-chat-derived groups.

  13. Yeah, this is a pretty good summary of what's been going through me and my friends heads regarding an overhaul of the current trading system. The conclusion we almost universally came to is that there pretty much needs to be some kind of Auction House or Trading House setup, although generally we agreed that actually AUCTIONING items was not the way to go.

The most important thing I'd stress in any system similar to the one you laid out is to have Confirmation dialogue boxes. Lots of them. I really like the semi-automated setup you devised, but the more Murphy Factor Reduction the better. I mean, yeah, maybe asking "Are You Sure You Want To Blow 75 Plat On This/These Items?" 3 times in a row is excessive, but it DOES need to be asked at least once. I know that that's all implicit, but as someone who works with Frontends as a job it's something I like to stress.

  14. Still hoping for the option to make them wear the suit mask/helmet instead of it being open all the time.

Also hoping for a voice option that's just big, echo-y grunts and exclamations.

Y'know, so I can immerse myself in the whole "The Operators Are Totally Ultraman + Kimball Kinnison" thing.

In relation to the above, allow them to say things such as "QX" instead of "Okay" and "I read you to seventeen decimals" and "So-n-so is a 5-sector callout."

Because I really don't think I can impress upon anyone just how awesome the Lensman series is.

  15. Heck, I've been hoping for something like that for both Simaris and the Conclave since their inception.

I mean, yeah, I get that there's been some awesome work put into making the Player Hubs, but (for me, at least) the convenience of having an on-board Terminal for those interactions far outweighs the awe-factor of puttering around in a Totally-Not-Phantasy-Star-Online environment.

It kinda gets back to a lot of the concerns and problems I have with the current setup of the various menus; in this iteration of the Star Chart, it takes a MINIMUM of 2-3 Menu Interactions to get to what you want, whereas before that was closer to the MAXIMUM Interactions required (with the notable exception of the Mod Menus, which were a complete catastrofudge). Yes, all the fancy menus LOOK pretty, but they aren't ADDING anything substantive in a lot of cases.

Wow, that turned into a rant. Sorry about that.

  16. Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly with this.

The biggest problems I have with Archwing in its present state are generally Camera-Related, or at least Viewing Area/Environment Comprehensibility related. Right now one of the biggest issues I have is with the ridiculous amount of Screen-Shake when doing much of ANYTHING, particularly Boosting around. Your AW fills the actual AIMING AREA of the screen - you know, the one that you need clear to direct WHERE YOUR AW GOES - and on top of that you have all this shaking going on so even if that area WERE clear you would STILL move off-target because your crosshair is getting juggled all around the place.

There's a lot wrong with AW at the moment; it needs a major overhaul.
