  1. Definitely makes me nostalgic about time when I first joined and the combat had a weight to it.

Encountering heavy grineer means I had to pull back a bit, take cover and focus fire on weak points.

There was always a sense of gloominess and unknown entering each room and turning each corner.

Now, I don't even bother counting the number of enemies in the room cuz it's all the same

I remember that feeling when I first logged in.  I miss it.  The enemies to me now seem like simple obstacles I just smack away with one swing, and I move along thinking nothing about what I did.

  2. Hmm unsure about the dangly bits.

And you seem very confident about Valkyr.

What makes you say that? Just popular demand?

Was that a response to my comment?  I can only assume it was.  The very last devstream, I think it's 37, they were about to talk about the next warframe and did not, but they did mumble something about "dangly bits".  Catch it around 24:XX and you will see that it IS a sure thing.  Has nothing to do with Valkyr and I never said it did.  Things are not always what they seem, so this "confidence" you detect means nothing.  I was speaking from an opinion and assumption that DE cares about Lore in this game.  Popular demand?  I never join that crowd.  I have my own mind.  Last time I checked, not too many people like or even care about Valkyr.  In fact, I like all the Warframes, so I have no confidence about one or the others.  I just like the game and want to see more warframes put in it.

Hope that clears things up for you.

  3. there must be something special from her before she was changed into current valkyr :|

something that makes her armor value so damn high that even rhino's armor value is considered nothing compared to her armor value :|

I thought the armor value was just a buff to make her survivable or to make her a concept that actually works in the game.  Now that you mention this, it makes me think if it was all planned for something other than what we know.  Maybe it does have something to do with the original Valkyr, what ever she was before the change.  Interesting.

  4. I personally don't care for Nyx anymore than her usefulness.  I never use her except for helping teams or possibly rushing through a mission solo, and I mean solo as in causing all enemies to fight each other as I slip past them.  Buff?  Nerf?  Doesn't seem to matter, so long as she is still useful.  When they bleed the usefulness out of her, then I will feel the need to worry.

For Nyx lovers.  I can understand the complaints.

For Nyx haters.  I don't understand the complaints.

  5.   I was thinking about, Dark Sector, and things the Devs have said on the devstreams. And when you mentioned the Eldrich Dark and how the Tenno would likely be the monstrosities. I would not entirely disagree with that statement, but some clues point to those themes and elements being at least partially true.

In Dark Sector the Hayden battled an infected monster named stalker, not to be confused with are current Warframe chum. This monster was described by the supporting character (I forgot his name, Russian ex-GRU, spy) described it as very old. He said it in that way that makes you think old as in time immemorial, not Golden Girls.

The Devs have, or at least used to let slip things here and their that parts of the origin of the Tenno and or the Orokin could be really old. It was ambiguous, but one got the impression they where talking about pre Orokin era, possibly then predating history. As if the Orokin had existed prehistory, and returned, only to collapse again?

Of course this is confused by the state of cannon in Warframe. DE has gone back and forth over wether Dark Sector is part of cannon. The last word came from a forum post by DEMegan or DERebecca responding to question after the release of the Proto-Armor Excalibur skin. Saying, to some effect that it was official, that DS was cannon in Warframe. However, it isn't clear how the two fit, other then it is clear they weren't originally meant too. So, without RETCON, or some very clever writing, a seamless cohesion seems unlikely, and therefore DS remains ambiguously attached to Warframe.

But, I digress. If we assume DS is cannon, then there is some possibility of some HPL cosmic horror themes rippling into Warframe. Something that I think could function with the Post-human qualities that DE has only really begun to hint at.

Anyways, it is fun to speculate, but that is all it is. For now. Soon™

Do you mean cannon or canon?

  6. I absolutely hate it when a wild Rhino appears in my squad. Usually they rush ahead of everyone else and wreck everything in sight with little consideration of how much fun their squad is having doing absolutely nothing.

Maybe I'm just picky, but I loathe having rhinos my squads.

Doesn't bother me much, but it does make me laugh a whole lot.  Especially when there is a red diamond on my mini-map more time than I'd like to count.  No disrespect to rhino lovers, but most that use them go down faster than any other warframe (in my experience).  I find it hilarious.

  7. Too lazy to read whole line of posts but I'm not sure if this was mentioned so I'll mention it now.

In a prior Devstream, Scott pushed talking about the new frame, to which Steve told him to hold on and let people enjoy the newness of the Archwing concept before flooding them with other new goodies. The only thing Scott mentioned with respect to the new frame being worked on was this:

    --- "Lots of danglies"

That's what was mentioned a few weeks back. Not sure if things have changed schedule-wise back at DE, but there's definitely something in the works. I personally believe it will indeed be revealed in Update 15. Hope that helps.

Multi-headed warframe?  (thinks about it.)  Nah.

  8. Valkyr the Original: Valkyr should not need additional accessories.  Instead there needs to be a proto-version, meaning the way she was before being captured by Corpus and experimented on.  That would mean a new look (that may have some slight resemblances of the current Valkyr,) a new name, new and unique powers, and a new purpose as a warframe.  That would not only be fun but also would make sense in game lore.  This would also allow a suitable Prime version too, because the Valkyr as we know it could not be Primed.

Nekros powers?  Soul Punch is fine if it scaled up a bit to be useful in higher leveled missions or against higher leveled enemies.  Maybe there needs to be something extra added like: heals the warframe when used. (I'm assuming Soul Punch is like steal the soul of the enemies, so why not use it to heal Nekros since he is so squishy?)  Desecrate I think is fine, but it should work effectively each time it is used.  That way we don't waste energy.

Master Ranks: If they had more purpose than to just show off how long people have played this game or how many tests they have passed, that would be good.  What if mastery rank for the player, not weapons, affected warframes in the manner of passives or buffs that are permanent?  They may be small but will stack if other team member have them, and everyone will benefit.  Just a thought.

Drops:  Makes no sense at all to have rare ones and even others show up as warframe abilities.

    1) You can remove abilities from all warframes that are new or obtained, and have the player feel rewarded when he or she finally gets a warframe mod for a drop.  That would make the game harder and more challenging, but I think people won't like this.

    2) Remove the warframe mod drops from the drop table and put them in the market.  They will cost a certain amount of credits if a player wants to duplicate that mod and use them.  This will solve the problem with people wanted lower-ranked mods on their warframe builds.

    3) Remove them from the drop table and allow a system were we can de-rank the warframe ability mods or rank them as we wish, so that we can make custom builds as we see fit.  This will allow great flexibility for some players.

  9. I clicked on Mimas to do a survival mission (or at least I thought I did), yet it was a rescue mission.  There is only one rescue mission on Saturn as far as I can tell, and I know I did not click that.  I ended up on an asteroid or planetoid, and had to rescue an operative.  However, after freeing him from prison, myself and one other player approached a corridor that had a door.  The door was open, but beyond it was a deep realm of darkness.  We both attempted to enter in order to reach the extraction point, but only to find that we could not.  That darkness was nothing but a black wall.

  10. Steam community market and search for warframe and you'll find them. They'll only be available for use in game if you've linked the steam account your getting them on to your warframe account.

As BrotherIcarus said, there are skin right now for only vauban and rhino, another might come when steam does their next sale, most likely the 2014 winter sale.

    Thank you.
