  1. I agree.

The sentient ship anomally thing is such a paradox.

On one hand, you have railjack gameplay which enforces squad play, and on the other hand you have sentient ship farm which is basically every man for himself that literally takes a dump on squad play.

Another clear indication that DE didn't really think about ins and outs of railjack pretty clearly. Whole railjack gameplay needs urgent and satisfying polish, but the sentient thing most importantly. That thing needs to change completely.

Is it? I got the shedu in 4 runs by running with a farming group, and I even got some spare parts to sell.

And ephemeras have never been easy to farm. I'd say the easiest to farm are the orb mother ones, and those still have super low chances

Some people win the lottery too, doesn't mean 99% of the population should be able to win as well.

Out of 6 runs I only got 2 parts.  No spares.

  3. You grind for hours and get that 2% chance drop only to learn that the drop has also random numbers(I still haven't gotten it btw).

You finally come across the time gated sentient ship, only to learn that the ephemera has 5% drop chance from a container that doesn't always spawn and shedu parts may not even drop.

DE has gone full DE with this update.

  4. It is because that is the only bit of interesting content we got in 2019. Unless they have the next big thing ready, then yeah, they should work on railjack, polish it, expand it, and somehow merge it with the base game. Also reduce the ridiculous amounts of grind required to get intrinsics and resources, and rework the whole time gated sentient ship encounter. It is obnoxious.

  5. The thing is, as cool as that Excal prime helm looks, the frame overall has outdated visuals, and unless you use the gold on the accents, it doesn't stand out enough to trigger the plebs who don't have it. So yeah, if you are seeing excal primes that are rollin with the system defauls, it is just that they want you to know.

  6. I would never go for it, because I kinda like aiming myself but still thanks for clearing it up.

So far I've heard that all of the rank 10's are trash. I think tactical potato was talking about it in one his vids. Well, I guess he was right.

The intended use of Vote Kick: "There's this guy AFK-ing in the mission, let's kick him so we can get somebody else"

The actual use of Vote Kick: "You aren't using the meta build? GTFO SCRUB!"

This has happened to people before, it will happen again and will keep happening because many people are terrible clowns who complain about people not playing "their" game right.

    Pretty much.

The only Votekick option I'm down for is something that allows players to votekick an AFK person or a leecher.

Tryhards are a minority in WF anyway, if it is such a huge deal(and you can't find squads in recruiting channel) create your own discord group and play with a select number of people.

Vote kick option would only allow a number of angry fellas to express their misery.

People aren't worried about kicked for being bad. People are worried about kicks being misused by petty people, like it is in any game with a kick system.

"I don't like your choice of gun. Kick"

"I don't want another nuker in my team. Kick"

"you aren't willing to babysit me and support me with your items. Kick"

"you don't want to camp this spot in Survival with me. Kick"

"you are dealing more damage than me. Kick"

"you are stealing my kills. Kick"

"I don't like your name. Kick"

"I don't like that you use your operator. Kick"

The list goes on and on and on.

And B: being rude without provocation gets you nowhere. This is a lesson you learn in the first grade. This is reality.

You forgot to drop the mic.

Ok...and please tell me: how long does this hold for?

What about a new player that starts in say 6 months and eventually gets to the lich system?
The game just flat out refuses to tell the player anything about it.  Doesn't tell them how to opt-in or opt-out of the lich system.  Doesn't tell them the choice they have to make.  Doesn't tell them the consequences of what a lich does.  Doesn't tell them any of its mechanics.

So tell me: how long does it take until "Read the patch notes" becomes invalid?
How many pages of patch-notes should a new player be expected to crawl through in order to understand the mechanics of something?

Same thing goes for the wiki, which lets be honest I doubt that most people check on the wiki for a lot of things.

For the most part online games don't just go "You know what?  We won't tell you anything at all!  Look it up yourself outside of the game!", and for good reason.

Why should Warframe get a pass for snubbing the player base and refusing to explain anything about simple mechanics?

I mean, it is pretty easy to just type "Kuva Lich" in google search box.

I'm not saying things are optimal as they are, but what the op is talking about(or anything similar really) can be easily avoided by simply googling it. Which I've been doing for the past 7 years. Worked just fine for me.

Yes, DE could implement simple quests at the beginning of every new addition to the game(which would be the optimal approach), either ordis or an NPC could walk you through stuff step by step. But let's be honest, DE is lazy(has been for the last couple of years). But don't say this outloud because people will get triggered and give you very intelligent responses like "because WF is free to play, DE is the best, go play another game etc."

  10. Sure, lots of stuff to re-work in WF, but content is more important. That is the sad reality.

So as long as "reworks" don't impede new content I'm fine with them. I'm guessing the team can(should) do some quality of life changes and release new content at the same time.

After possiblity the worst year of WF, we need something good.

  11. 2019 went pretty bad.

Up until railjack we didn't have anything proper.  Jupiter rework was cool, but not fulfilling enough. Kuva Liches were a huge let down honestly. Can't believe they wasted such promising content. Speaking of content, 2019 was very thin on the content side which is my major gripe with this year.

Railjack kinda took things off  but technically it is a mess. Would have been a great closing for the year if things went smooth.

  12. Tell me about it.

Used to be my favorite weapon. I actually stopped using it at some point because it was oneshotting everything and made it feel too easy.

The other day I was having trouble with grattler and some other AW weapons in railjack so I was like, it is time to take out the big boy gun and oneshot everything again. Equipped velocitus, shot a fighter with a charged shot and his hp bar barely moved.

It is not garbage, because even garbage can become useful via recycling. It is something worse.

Wouldn't it be easier to just rework the current tilsets to accommodate Arch wing and k drive? The new tilsets on Jupiter is a pretty good example and a decent jumping off point.

Not really, because I believe our mobility is one of the reasons why the game feels so easy. So having greater mobility wouldn't help with that.

  14. Yes and no.

I mean, it made the game consistent and less competitive for a while, but I can't deny the fact that the game was getting a bit too stale because there were a couple of meta weapons and that was pretty much it. Rivens changed the game a little, made it more interesting for sure.

And I think randomized stats keep things more dynamic. But the problem is, they haven't tried to balance the game around the new random stat concept. It is the same game, with a different model. It doesn't work well.

Old model is : You spend X amount of time(usually alot) to get Y, and getting Y is the end of the road.

With the new model, You still spend X amount of time(still alot) to get Y, but getting Y isn't the end of the road, because Y has different varaibles. It can be Y+1, Y-2, etc. You keep getting variations of Y's but the X hasn't changed. Meaning the whole process has become much more tedious.

Solution is simple, reduce the grind so that people keep rolling(going for better variants) and not feel like they are wasting their life away.

De has been on the right path imo, but their execution has been bad lately.
