limited ammo that aren't loot drops but resupply and location crates meaning you have a time limit based on ammo.

So, basically removing all ammo drop and limit it to resupply points? I still have nukes at the tip of my finger, a stick (or a pointy stick, or a sharp stick) to whack enemies with the power of a speeding truck, or ammo restore while stacking 90% damage reduction

Basically it's any shooter with Diablo-style loot. Basically take that Doom reboot and add Diablo looting to it. You get showered with tons and tons and tons of gear, and you don't really care about most of it, you only care about the stats on it.

Borderlands wannabe at best, borderlands has some identity on each weapon while there's none in destiny

And it's just borderlands wannabe, nowhere being borderlands 2 or borderlands 3 wannabe

Why? When you want search for usless stuff that gains syndicat standing you can make syndikat misssions. There is nothing wrong with finish ASAP, why waste time in a simple extinction mission with lowlevel enemys who is absolute boring and no fun to play.

You can still finish them ASAP if you want, while those who like to explore can get things at similar pace. A win-win situation if you ask me

  4. From wiki page

"8 Defixios can spawn in a mission, but only one per player is required for extraction (4 in a full squad); bringing more Defixios than required provides no benefit."

Perhaps you can add a bit of benefit from depositing extra defixios such as extra vainthorns or syndicate standing? Anything to make people move away from "finish it ASAP" mindset

  5. I'll be straight to the point

    1. It makes people think the story might not worth playing or not enjoyable. This is the case with bungie selling story skip on another character because the story can be very unenjoyable to do it on three characters

    2. It makes people think you make the story unenjoyable or hard on purpose to goad people into spending money (even if their end of problem/skill issue)

    3. People will jump into "Warframe is p2w" narrative and we already have one jumping on it

I'd suggest not adding it because players would be lost if they don't go through the story. But it you really want to add skip option, add it for free but forfeits any rewards from the quest, requiring you to run through it for the rewards.

Another way to keep players from being lost is giving them the summary of said quest through cinematics (they're cool so add them please), bonus points if we see our fashion on it

what you need to worry about is holding them to a standard befitting of a company/studio that has been in the industry for a very, VERY long time.

so many of you still think DE is hanging by a thread like they were 10 years back. it simply is not true anymore. Up your #*!%ing standards people

Any company studio that makes free to play game as benchmark? One that doesn't make any mandatory pay from inconveniences and no way to work around it?

And seeing bungie, DE is doing well enough in comparison

Neurodes farm - an incredible amount of early access items require neurodes, and they are rare. Recommend a dedicated location or two where they are twice or thrice as abundant as elsewhere so that players know where to go to get them when they need them rather than randomly spamming earth missions until statistics eventually net them. Alternatively, you could increase the number obtained per drop to 1-3 instead of always 1.

They are guaranteed to drop from neuroptic masses, which sometimes off the main path so you want to explore a bit instead of doing the objective and rush to extraction

Oxium farm, is likewise needed in increasing amounts in early access items, and is even harder to acquire in sufficient quantities than neurodes. While most items need between 1-6 neurodes, oxium requirements are in the high hundreds while their drop rates per mission are in the teens. I likewise recommend a dedicated location or two that features 2x-3x the normal amount. Alternatively, simply slightly increase the amount dropped by ospreys.

Unless you let them explode, ospreys are quite easy to swat down with melee on early levels and survival can be considered as dedicated location

Credits are worth mentioning too. They are just not quite balanced well enough - players simply MUST play the Index at some point to move forward. I personally would suggest providing 1 or 2 missions that are sub-Index level of return, and yet above average return, a happy middle ground, so players can run those missions for early credits instead of the Index (while there is generally enough Index traffic to carry a new player, asking a new player to solo the Index is actually a bit rough given their limited arsenal and experience). Adapting Dark Sectors or Nightmare missions to this cause would seem like an obvious choice - encouraging players to do Nightmare would in particular be a good idea, since there is no in-game push to do so, and yet they are very helpful to new players because of the mods they offer, and most are perfectly do-able for new players. Since this would work well for the early transition period but not for later play, the Index would still eventually take over, followed thereafter by PT.

You can get considerable amount of credits by opening lockers and smashing crates as a reward for exploring instead of rushing to objective then to extraction. Try playing one void exterminate and loot every single crate and lockers (solo if you don't want teammates rushing) and see how much you can get

Now explain how this challenge argument was supposed to go, without loot or drops? Or is it just something that "Hardcore" players could just ignore

Before SP I remember players asking for and discussing a place to take their min-maxed builds, and saying things like they were fine without any serious rewards to prevent players who weren’t interested in min-maxing feeling like they were missing out

If you still don't understand, I don't know what to tell you

Because it wasn't made with those rewards initially, purely to bring your best build and the next pattern is easily guessed, people demanding better rewards because steel path "takes more effort". It's always like that, at first it's just for testing your build and then start demanding to be rewarded despite the request to make it not mandatory

  10. Sorry to break it to you, but "endgame" is a hogwash. The so-called endgame is a moving goalpost that keeps moving the limit further and we can delete level 9999 enemies even with steel path modifier so there's nothing hard unless we nerf everything out.

Another thing about "endgame" is the same grind but with another look and higher stats. If we're going with the usual, you would have grinded the same warframe for 33 times because the one from 2014 would be completely useless. Warframe doesn't go with this model and I'm glad since I'm not falling far behind to the point it's impossible to catch up if I don't play for an extended period

And if you want it hard, DE can always make it mechanically such as a demolyst on every wave taking 20% of objective health on defense or enemies attacking all points at the same time in missions like interception or armageddon, requiring you to have maximum efficiency on fighting enemies especially on solo
