  1. What will chroma, trinity and limbo do in solo once enemies start doing thousands of dmg in the blink of an eye.

CC is the key, and they dont have any reliable source for it.

CC is not the only key... I have easily taken Chroma deep into 40-60 minute survivals as solo and in a party.

He does have CC, it's a little slow to activate, but it's not the main reason I find it easy to go far with Chroma.

    Using:

Rage + Primed Flow + Quick Thinking

    Fire Ward to benefit Rage

Vex Armor to help out his armor and make him hit harder

a good melee with Lifestrike (I use Tonbo just because I think it looks cool with Chroma)

and stamina mods to round off the melee build, and you get a very tanky juggernaut Chroma build that kinda just runs around bashing everyone's face in, way into the late game

In my opinion, because of his Vex Armor, I think he's a melee Warframe just on par with Valkyr, but while he doesn't have pure invincibility options, he does more damage.

I don't play Trinity into late game much just because I find her boring, but I don't find it too farfetched to combine Link with Blessing, doesn't sound too hard to keep your energy at full, keep Link up, and use Blessing before you die because you have the Link dmg reduction. She doesn't CC, but it definitely sounds possible.

Limbo requires a lot more effort than other Warframes to go late game, but it's not impossible, the simplest way is to just rely on Rift Walk, but if you can play strategically you can take on bigger crowds with Cataclysm and filter enemies in and out of the Rift to your advantage which is essentially CC. It's even easier now that you can toggle Cataclysm off. Combine that with the already toggle-able Rift Walk and Limbo now essentially has complete and reversible control over everyone being in or out of the Rift.

  2. No no no!

They are doing it wrong! You don't use Iron Skin unless you are about to die after killing a bunch of enemies and taking their hits! If you are low you use iron skin to get away and camp health orbs! THEN YOU GET BACK INTO THE FIGHT!

Like what if another Rhino Charges you then your Iron Skin goes away and he starts meleeing the crap out of you? I caught many other Rhinos trying to Iron Skin without being aware that the Iron Skin decreases and drops over time and I end up charging them then Bo Prime Clashing Forest Comboing them to death. o -o

I heard about that patch change, I haven't been playing Warframe recently... Last time I played Warframe was before the decaying Iron Skin conclave change, I suppose that Iron Skin change is a nerf and forces a small play style change...

Speaking of that I'm actually super curious how much hp Iron Skin has, cuz no way is it like 1200hp from PvE lol

  3. I've seen people just run around with Iron Skin meleeing the crap out of everyone...

Then it's funny just to run vertically up a wall and shoot them while I'm hanging on the wall and see what they do in response to that.

Sometimes they just run up to the spot I'm hanging above and keep meleeing like a mindless ravenous lion clawing at prey on a high tree branch as if they can actually reach me.

And sometimes after 2 seconds of being so shocked like "people actually use wallrunning?" then they'll finally decide to shoot me.

And to the people talking about Super Jump, yes Super Jump is verrrrrry useful... that split second of disorienting your target might be all you need, worth the 10 energy investment...

And it's not just Super Jump that does that... even a simple directional melee straight up into the air is all you need sometimes... Especially against an enemy trying to rush you in melee combat. When you're right in the face of an enemy, flying straight up really throws the enemy off because when u take up such a large percentage of an enemy's screen by being so close, they may not even notice that u went straight up and might get confused of where u went, and it's a nice simple easy way to get away from the target that rushed you, if you're lucky u can just slam back down and if you catch them between melee animations, they'll get knocked down and u can finish them off. And if you have to, u can just keep bunny jumping with directional melee to avoid an enemy that prefers melee combat.

  4. Just wondering, since I only have a Glaive Prime, no Glaive; will Glaive Prime work with the Proto Glaive skin? 'cause I plan on buying that.

Ofc probably no one is 100% sure about this, but I guess a different question to ask for a clue would be... Can you Excalibur Prime owners put on the Proto Excal skin?

    Thanks

  5. a small bug which would be nice to fix is: the Melee Attacks Align to Camera option seems to turn off randomly and i have to go to the settings to turn it off, then turn it back on, to make it go back to normal.

i think what causes this bug to happen is when you're the Client of someone else's game.

it's a small bug but still annoying when i have to pull up my Settings menu in almost every game i play/join >_<

also another small bug: apparently Huras kubrow invis is making me completely invis, i.e. i cant see an outline of myself... haven't tested it out with Shade Sentinel but Huras is making me disappear from the game O_O

  6. I think they may have scrapped the Super Saiyan/Avatar State idea of Focus... Although I hope not, because that's what initially got me hyped about Focus.

As many here have already said, many features they intended for Focus have been gradually implemented into many things already in the game, combine that with how DE wants Focus to be a unique mechanic that doesn't overlap with Equipment or Warframe abilities, I'm very unsure of what they plan to do with Focus.

Unfortunately because there are so many Warframes and so many abilities, it's hard to design some sort of Super mode that doesn't already overlap with an existing ability. Massive destruction and power is already covered by explosive Warframes having near infinite energy. Super speed and flight are covered by the likes of Volt and Zephyr.

I still hope that they are continuing with the super mode idea of Focus just because I'm fans of things like Avatar and transformations from Vindictus.

  7. I'd give it maybe an 8

Currently I'm (like most players) not interested in PVP at all. But seeing DE talk about their efforts into revitalizing and revamping the PVP system and what they've shown makes me willing to give it a shot. Warframe's been getting boring for me, but direct player competitiveness is what makes many gamers keep playing a game for a long time so I'm willing to see how well this new PVP can captivate me.

  8. "I am Cephalon Simaris, the Destroyer, the Immortalizer; this is my sanctuary. You will hunt the creatures I require and transform them into beings of the sanctuary. Is this murder? No. All beings of substance die - eventually, but only those forgotten are truly dead. Will you become enlightened Tenno? Will you hunt for me?"

    Ahhhhhh!!!

  9. I think maybe a more lenient version of a cooldown mechanic is suitable...

I was thinking something more of a fatigue system rather than cooldowns... where spamming an ability leads to cooldowns activating, the more it's spammed and the less rest is given the bigger and bigger a cooldown there will be... ofc appropriate tweaking and exact amounts would be decided, and maybe even some abilities can be exempt from this fatigue thing, like #1 abilities...

but it doesn't sound too ridiculous and it sounds reasonable that after Excalibur has slammed his sword into the ground, summoning a swath of javelins to kill entire armies, that he would get tired after like the 5th time, and something like maybe a 5 second cooldown kicked in and would ramp up the more u kept forcing excalibur to spam javelin

  10. I like Blind Justice, I don't have any raw data comparing the stances, but it feels like Blind Justice does the most hits per unit time the fastest. Like that Slash Dash does a lot of hits and if you do the Slash Dash in a tight circle around a big target like a Bombard, or Ancient, or something... that's a lot of hits in a short amount of time... In addition to just being able to use the Slash Dash in a normal AoE fashion.

That Slash Dash move is like the only move out of any melee attack in the game I deliberately enjoy Channeling with.

  11. I like this idea, but one thing I support even more isn't a new idea but simply making it quicker to switch between weapons.

In most games the secondary not only serves as another gun for more ammo, but also sort of your emergency "i need more bullets now can't reload!" gun.

In Warframe, the switching weapons animation is so slow that more often than not, in a bad situation im mostly okay with just reloading my primary. Which makes my secondary a little less practical other than just being another source of ammo. Like if I have a Soma and Akstilettos, I really would only use my Akstilettos once I ran out of Soma bullets, I would never pull out my secondaries thinking "crap, Eximus approaching no time to reload Soma!"

Also, the long weapon switch delay creates a large divide between gunplay and sword play, it really feels like switching between 'modes' of gameplay rather than fluidly switching between what's needed. An example where this shines is when I'm only using my melee weapon for Channeled Life Strikes, the game starts to slow down and almost feel like turn based when I gotta go through switching to melee then hitting once, then switching back to gun if I want to Lifestrike something.

A gun & sword idea would be cool, but I think simply making weapon switching faster is a good place for DE to start.

  12. I dont find pause combos to be a problem at all... If i already approached an enemy intending to melee him until he dies and i believe the pause combo of the weapon I'm using would be better (like Tranq Cleave's pause combo vs E spam) then I'll do the pause combo...

I already made the time commitment to melee this enemy... Spamming E isn't any safer or necessarily faster than a pause combo... If you're so afraid of the heat of battle to pause combo someone then to me maybe u shudntve ran up to them and started meleeing them.

My point is: to me since pause combos and spam E combos are for the most part equally as quick, my ability to pull off pause combos is not affected by the chaos around me because i know freaking out, panicking, and then spamming E doesn't make me any safer or faster than doing a pause combo.

But in terms of new stances i would actually like to see DE go back to the very first U13 stances they released and add more combos to them... Most of the new combos they release now come with lots of moves while stuff like CMON IRON PHOENIX only has 1.

  13. yeah I really wish they'd allow us to downscale mods...... maybe it's not being allowed because of balance reasons idk?

but like... at least 15 of my mods... i have a 2nd copy that's 1 level lower... like I think i have two Barrel Diffusions, two Lethal Torrents, etc.

Most annoying cases is where my weapon/equipment is rank 30, but im one point away from equipping an additional mod, and the only way to do that is to either: downscale a mod already equipped, downscale the mod i want to equip..... but right now the only way is to forma, FOR ONE MORE MOD POINT! ... that's why those 15 mods i have a 2nd copy of come in handy once in a while >_<

  14. I've used Frost's Ice Wave augment in Infested Defense.

It works out decently in a range/duration build ... A fun alternative for Infested Defense CC.

When i used it in ODD, i kept a line of ice on each of the two stairs and the two railings... Forming a sort of box shape of ice trenches... It was pretty fun 'cause it kinda made Frost less of a "never bring him to infested!" Frame, albeit it required an Augment.

  15. I think there's a reason why you have a secondary....

It's not unheard of to have a game where your secondary helps you with situations your primary isn't comfortable with.

TF2. The sniper has a sniper, but what's his secondary? An SMG to deal with targets up close, if the person doesn't want to use a sniper up close.

CoD. Also has a sniper rifle - I doubt the person brought a 'sniper pistol' or something. Pistols are more helpful than snipers at close range.

Even non-shooter games like Devil May Cry. You have your sword, but then you have your pistols, for what? Ranged combat (amongst other uses) when you can't use your swords.

Or in Ninja games. You have your typical tanto ninja sword, but what do you use when you want to do a ranged hit? Throw a ninja star.

Clearly we are given an arsenal in several games including Warframe to deal with different situations.

Bring akstilettos or vipers or akboltos, or as people have been saying the Synoid Gammacor.

The fact that you have a Synoid but made this gigantic rant demanding you don't feel the need to use it is appalling.

You actually have no 'right' to demand DE lets you play how you want to play.

It is DE that tells you how you want to play. You only have the right to choose what game you want to play.
