  1. I think the concept artist and the 3D designers should be more in touch. I mean, look at this:

This is the original concept art for Khora's deluxe. This looks amazing. I don't even like Khora, but i would use it a lot more just to use this skin.

    Now, look at this:

This looks a lot worse to me. Doesn't the ingame version look like it has waaay different proportions?

It's just that it's a easy way to give us something. Which is a whole lot more than what we currently have, which is nothing.

    THIS!

This is exactly why the hard mode they are about to introduce is a good idea. It's a relatively fast and cheap way of introducing a level of difficulty that has been asked for ages.

Im all in for a gamemode that introduces difficulty with things other than higher enemy levels, but heck, this is a lot better than what we have now.

That's probably what the sun/moon alignment is supposed to do if they ever flesh it out more.

I was thinking of something a bit on a short term, like the amount of 'aggro' required to make the stalker come out to get you, something that could be easy to trigger and reset; but yeah, maybe the alignment could have something to do with that.

  4. Yesterday I was looking at an old interview made to the creators of Amnesia, where they explained how they came up with the 'sanity' mechanic of the game. Maybe that would be an interesting way of turning wally into an actual game mechanic here. For example, making certain actions in the game could cause our mind to become unstable, generating increasingly bigger effects; things like seeing wally more frequently, having creepy visions/hallucinations during missions, hearing (him/her/it?) whispering to us, and eventually making (him/her/it?) appear like an assassination squad, attacking us with shadow mobs or something like that.

  5. I do enjoy having difficult content. I like casual gameplay, but from time to time is nice to have an actual challenge to engage with. The thing is, at least for me, there has to be a meaning for difficult content to make it work.  I mean, I could go right now to a survival mission and try to endure it for 6 hours; that is definitely difficult for the average player. But for what purpose? To get a bunch of resources i can get faster by other means (and probably a suspension, because the auto ban system works like crap and tends to flag that kind of things)?
I would welcome difficult content with open arms, but only if it comes paired with a well-thought, meaningful reward system. And by difficult im not talking about a 6-hour braindead survival mission, im talking about complex game mechanics, that requires actual teamplay and strategy.

  6. I tried to read this three times and failed. Punctuations man, use them!

I think you are asking something related to weapon availability and balance in conclave, right? The short, general answer to that is: don't expect any kind of balance or changes to the general state of conclave. That gamemode is pretty much dead, and it will most likely stay that way.

  7. If I recall correctly, the devs said once that this was the original plan, to make our railjack eventually replace the orbiter (I may be wrong though). I wouldn't mind having just the railjack instead of the orbiter, but there is a crap ton of things they would have to address to actually make it work: decoration placement and how that would work inside missions, introduction to the game (if the idea is to have the railjack from the very beginning), an almost complete railjack interior redesign to add the missing rooms (personal quarters, operator room, helminth chair), etc.

  8. Redundant? Maybe. Out of place? Not at all, since his skills definitely get the job done. Revenant is one of my usual picks on endless missions, I use it to solo survival arbitrations up to an hour with almost no problems, so im pretty happy with his kit.

I get matched fine normally. It's almost noon here in the est US. I would think I'd be able to find someone (I don't have a ping limit personally)

Have you tried switching regions? I do that from time to time when im having trouble matchmaking for a specific mission. If you do that and still can't find a squad, there might be an issue with the fomorian event itself, or maybe something on your side.

    1. DE have stated that there will be more Umbral-style frames. When they will come out is not clear. What they explicitly stated is that each Umbral-style variant will be special and so not all frames will get an Umbral-style variant.

When did they say that? This is the first time I hear about this.

IMO, I really hope they don't make more umbra frames. It's a very cheap way of recycling content, and I honestly can't think of a valid reason to have 3 almost exact copies of the same warframe.

  11. I started playing Satisfactory like a week ago and i'm having a blast, It's been quite a long time since i got so hooked on a game. If you are into that kind of genres (sci-fi open-world factory building and automation, like a crossover between factorio and no man's sky), then you should give it a try.

    <angry rant noises>

I'm just going to reply to you this time, because at this point im pretty sure you don't care about anything but your own point of view, so im not even going to try to have a conversation.
I've read several of your replies here and i can honestly say i agree with almost every single one of your points; but nothing of what you said is new. I can randomly click any other thread and i will find two or more comments of people saying the exact same thing as you; that's how flooded the forum is with negative (yet valid) criticism.
The thing is, having some positive feedback from time to time is a healthy thing, because it helps with motivation; even if every single piece of negative feedback you receive is true, being constantly bombarded with negative critics eventually erodes the good will of anyone; being acknowledged (and im not talking about lying and hiding mistakes), on the other hand, tends to give a boost to your morale; and having motivated people is a key factor in any work team.
The OP tried to give a bit of acknowledgment to the things DE (and specially Rebbeca) has been doing right, in the middle of the constant flow of critics they get every single day (which, again, are valid almost all of the time). But you just couldn't have that, right? How could anyone dare to give some praise to the devs.

  13. Man, i read the first post and i was actually surprised to see some positivity here. Good thing the forum is still full of jerks to help us derail this threads and fight against any form of positive feedback.

  14. Seeing the amount of brand new forum accounts made just to participate in the test server, i really hope that, once the server launches, DE checks how players make use of it. I participated on testing servers in other games (Trove and League of Legends) and it was quite hard for those games to get bug reports, because the vast majority of players in the test servers went there just to fool around, mainly because they were provided with free resources to be able to test things smoothly; so i hope DE keeps that in mind, otherwise the test server won't be as useful as it should be.

  15. UO: Removing the death-by-wrong-guess on liches was dumb and completely unnecessary. Complaining about that is like complaning about video games having hidden traps in their levels. The first time you encounter each trap, you'll probably fall into them because you can't know where they are beforehand. You'll have to replay the level several times until you manage to dodge them all, and that's it. That is neither good nor bad game design, it's just game design.

  16. It may sound a bit extreme but, for me, that would make me think it's a good moment to leave the game. I'm not exactly happy with the current state of Warframe, and one of the things that makes me stay around is just to see how the story of the game keeps developing. Without cinematic quests, which are the best method DE has used (IMO) to expand the lore, then i would lose a lot of interest in this game. I'm not saying that Warframe would be better or worse without cinematic quests, but they played an important role in keeping me playing.

this "technical limitation" does not exist if the code is made well

See, that's where the problem is; the mod system code is horrible, and this was acknowledged by the devs. They even said more than once that they refrain to make changes to it because of how hard is to maintain it.

And more on topic, i dont think riven mods limit should be removed. What should be removed are rivens themselves.
