I've been trying to make Excalibur work for months now, and seem to keep hitting issues, usually either doing middling/pathetic damage or just losing survivability almost entirely to try and fix that. Kullervo's subsume helps a lot with damage, but his base kit is just not good enough to tank steelpath if you want to build into strength whatsoever. Gloom feels like his best helminth option, but he still dies semi regularly if you aren't actively trying to shieldgate, which again kills your damage output. I feel like all he needs is a buff to his 4, and either a rework or replacement to his 1 or 3 that gives some kind of strong survivability tech and he'd be alright. Radial blind is good as is, but it isn't enough to keep him alive, like, at all by itself. Those two things would probably be enough to make him viable, but some stance combo changes (like the slide mentioned), and maybe building in stuff like chromatic blade would help a lot. The fact he basically needs that augment sucks, and he already has strong competition for his mod slots.
  2. The point of a mod like this would be to make it so you don't need a specific build to go fast. He's the fast frame, he should be able to go insanely fast from the get-go should you choose it. I also think 50% per 100% duration is just about the sweet spot. Very similar scaling to molt, which is what you use if you want max speed gauss anyway, you just now don't sac the entire rest of your build to do so. I think the battery charge would be too crazy though, the point of this post really is just speed, any additional effect, while cool, would probably end up detracting from the main goal.
  3. Why doesn't redline affect his movement speed? It even appears to do so in his prime trailer. I get that could make him too fast for some people, but at least give us the option. I think the easiest fix for this would be an exilus augment mod that just alters redline to also affect movement speed. This way it scales with duration like all his other abilities, so you can scale it as you please, AND the boost is optional for those who are already content with how fast he is. (Specifically movement speed too, please, so it applies multiplicatively. Just give us molt scaling.) Besides, I don't know a single Gauss main who runs anything but rush in their exilus slot anyway. He can still go very fast, but requires sacrificing a LOT if not ALL of his effectiveness to do so. As someone who started playing the game for this warframe back in 2022, please consider this. I want to be able to run between bounty objectives in the plains/orb vallis without sacrificing all of my survivability/energy/damage/etc. I've brought this up to a lot of people and they all agree this or something like it should be a thing.
