  1. This would actually synergize with Excal's kit quite well. And it fits his theme perfectly, I mean his Ult involves summoning a magical sword, and RJ already does so. This idea simply provides Excal with more direct control of the swords he summons. Especially with the swords spinning around him and damaging enemies they touch, Slash Dash and RB would especially benefit from it, as they both promote cqc. Having it activated with EB would give Excal a means of protecting himself from attacks from behind. Beyond RB, it'd be nice for Excal to have a semi-defensive skill that also provides utility and damage. I'm hoping DE considers this, as they still seem a bit puzzled as to what they truly want to do with RJ.

  2. I actually like this idea. Gaining benifits by using variety is a good way to promote the non use of spamming. If implemented correctly, it wouldn't alienate single-style playstyles, as you'd just be able to play normally and wouldn't be penalized for not being "stylish". Merely, you wouldn't gain the newly added benifits. However, even a melee-only playstyle can benefit from this. It's somewhat similar in concept to the current side missions in any given mission, where you gain extra affinity for achieving certain feats in-game (ie; Kill 5 enemies with a Slide Attack). Warframe has so many ways to deal damage, there's no way one couldn't keep their meter full, even with a single-style playstyle. Slide attacks, jump attacks, wall attacks, basic melee, melee combos, the new parkour "bounce off the enemy" skill, slam attacks, primaries, secondaries....and not a single one of these require energy. Not to mention stamina will no longer hinder the aforementioned attack options.

  3. I think it was Steve a while back said you dont change warframes. Its a different tenno all together.

That was never said. No one in DE has officially stated what we are yet. All that DE has really said on the matter was that they do intend to explain what Tenno are....Soon....

  4. Exal is a melee focused Warframe, it makes sense that he has an above average armor rating. As for Rhino, I'm sure DE will take another look at him, since it seems like they're making an honest effort with this upcoming wave of warframe retunes/reworks. If they do rework Rhino, they'll likely give him better survivability powers and increase his armor. Although it's anyone's guess ehich one they'll focus on after Frost.

  5. It's funny how Alad V always gets the best rewards......coincidence ?

DE is clearly trying to manipulate the results for some reason. Instead of giving both sides equally good rewards and letting the community legitimately choose who wins, they give the losing side the clearly better rewards to even things out. The PS4 users obviously want Nef to win, but who is really gonna turn down a Reactor or 25 R5 Cores for 50k credits? Lol

  6. I'm loving Anima/Animus suprisingly. I say "surprisingly", only because I wasn't too fond of the initial concepts. However, things seem to be coming along nicely. The only thing I'm worried about is there being a limitation on customization. The entire frame literally has only has two palettes so far (Black/White), it's gonna be very weird to color. Hopefully the final design will have a few more palettes and textures to work with.

  7. How goes the progress on the Mios?

Do you intend to release any newer stances for some of the more neglected melee weapons (Machete, Dagger/Dual Dagger, Polearms, etc.) alongside Update 17?

What progress has been made on the Sentients?

  8. Are we taking into consideration only the first movie, the first two movies, the three predator movies or AvP as well?

If we'd consider only the first two (i'm considering just these), then the big guy at the second movie has a lot of tools at his disposal. Glaive, spear gun, net gun, etc ... Also i wonder how all the different spectrometers would come into play.

Not sure about the OP, but I was taking all of the Predator movies into account. I don't even see Wolf being able to do much (the Predator from AvP2) and he's by far the most impressive Pred we've seen (in the movies at least) thus far.

As far as the 1st two movies goes, look at it like this....do you see Danny Glover taking down a Tenno? Lol

  9. Also the xenomorphs in my opinion would probably give a little more challenge. Smart AIs anyone? And that is only if the powers are disabled when you compare them to the infested. Booben could dominate them with vortex like premutalist infested.

I doubt it. An experienced Elite Predator can basically solo a nest of Xenomorphs. A lone Tenno without powers would probably find a challenge in fighting a Queen.

  10. FYP

A hugely watered down Ash maybe.

Predators in general are quite weak compared to Tenno, even without their powers. They're fast enough to deflect barrages of bullets with just single small dagger, and they can tank way more damage. Plus a Tenno's agility exceeds theirs by far, and this isn't even taking into account Movements 2.0.

  11. Indeed this isn't an issue exclusive to Excal's augment. Other powers that initiate finishers don't work on quadruped and biped enemies. Ash's Teleport has always faced this problem. I believe Savage Silence faces this issue as well, iirc. Curiously enough, Chargers do have unique back finishers but they only seem to trigger when they are unalerted during stealth. Considering how long this has been an issue, it doesn't seem like DE is all that concerned about it

  12. You're a little naive if you think forced lowered optimized graphics on PCs to accommodate consoles is a conspiracy; not saying it's the case here but. PC gamers pay the same price as a console on just a video card alone. So yeah, some get upset when they cant maximize their investment. To each their own right?

Not sure why you even commented if you play on a potato PC anyways?

Because there's nothing naive about immediately assuming that virtually any graphical issues on PC are directly related to consoles? Of course it's not a conspiracy, but raging at consoles based on a mere assumption is a bit much.

  13. I agree that we should wait to see what DE comes up with for Movement 2.0 before we make any suggestions about how stamina should be handled. That said, I wholefully agree with the OP that stamina shouldn't even exist in this game.

Ryu Hayabusa doesn't have to take a breather after deflecting bullets and performing absurdly complex physical feats....I can't see why futuristic "ninja" who are wearing advanced exosuits, empowered by extradimensional energies that, by definition, "defy logic, reason and science" should have to. If anything, as tris1 said, stamina should only apply to channeling and charge attacks, and perhaps the new charge jump that DE is implementing.

  14. That could have just been wave 1...

That's true, but even so, you'd think they'd send more considering a weakened Mirage was soloing an entire army of them. From what we know, Mirage was fighting multiple ships worth of Sentients, but there's only one "worm ship" in the trailer. Either way though, I'm sure the Sentients are way stronger than they were back then.

  15. So, anyone else not wondering how the sentients can fight us if a Mirage fought an army of them without any energy?

Since the Sentient trailer, I always assumed that during their absence, the Sentients have been improving their tech substantially. I imagine that they would not return to challenge the Tenno, if we still have the same advantage over them that we did during the old war. I mean, there was even a Mirage present in the trailer, plus 3 additional Tenno, yet they only send a small platoon to engage them. I think the Sentients we're gonna be fighting are many times more efficient than the ones we fought ages ago.

  16. I love this. I'm actually hoping that DE makes this a base ability when they do the Frost rework. Cast it once and it functions as described in the OP, and if you cast it again (no energy cost for 2nd cast), you can drop it so if functions as it currently does. Or vice-versa.

  17. A short team invisibility is cool an all, but you can't defend an objective with that. It'll actually make it harder to defend an objective. I'm not familiar with stealth damage mechanics TBH but it's not the equivalent damage boost of a real damage boosting skill and it's not the duration of a real damage boosting skill. It does not prevent area damage and more and more enemies are able to do AoE's or see through it.

Ash not "useless" of course but I definitely consider him the "least useful".

I don't need to defend Banshee's usefulness lol...

You're not supposed to "defend objectives" with Ash. Every warframe has a speciality. Ash isn't the "stand in one spot and defend it" type. I find that he thrives in survival, extermination and interception. Ash is more so the kind of warframe that's meant to be constantly moving around and racking up kills. He seems to have the most trouble in both defense and mobile defense, due to his lack of reliable widespread CC and his somewhat slow Ult. As far as every other mission type however, he's extremely effective, so much so that I rarely even have need of his invisibility.

Anywho, as far as the OP goes, I don't really see any frames as "useless". It all depends on your play style really. Besides, all of the frames that would be considered "useless" by most of the fanbase are getting full reworks such as Excal, Frost and hopefully Ember afterwards. So after the wave of reworks, I imagine the frame will be more balanced, provided the reworks as implemented well.

  18. all frames can channel(:

That's what mods such as killing blow, focus energy are for~

Honestly, i think excal should get some innate melee buff when equipped with a melee weapon.. just like mesa with her guns only loadout (removing melee weapon for mesa buffs her primary and secondary weapons)

I wouldn't be surprised if that was worked into his upcoming rework. They stated that they want to give more warframes passive buffs, so considering they're reworking Excal, some appropriate melee passives would be a logical step in that direction. Hopefully, they'll at least give his general stats a buff. Something more appropriate for a melee frame, like more armor, stamina and movement speed.

  19. Those curves aren't human. Plastic surgery like that is one of the reasons i'll probably never pick up a Sayrn or Valkyr.

Mirage's harlequin helm was adorable enough for me to add her to my arsenal though.

Non human features on non human characters. What was DE thinking? Lol
