[Mod Fusion: What Gives?]

I seriously don't understand the huge spike of difficulty regarding upgrading my mods. Sure, I understand it's so players don't max out quickly, but this is seriously getting absurd. For example:

Just 10 minutes ago, I tried to upgrade my Serration from 60% to 70%. It already had 1/4 of it's rank XP, so I figured it was finally time to boost my Gorgon to 70%. First, I slapped on 8 Power cores (3 of which were rares, rank 5. The others were rank 3s) 5 seperate point strike mods, a DUPLICATE serration at rank 1, and about 20-so other mods. Totalling 35 god-damn mods, and charging me 20,000+ credits. Was it ranked up to 70%?

No. Of course not. Why is this a problem? There's still 5 ranks to go, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%, and 110%. If this is how absurd it is to reach 70%, how hard will it be to get to 110%? 200 mods? 300 mods? Sweet Jesus man, why? Is there a reason it's this hard? Am I the only one that thinks that's too sharp of a xp required curve?

Give me your thoughts, I'm open to other's opinions as well.

*sigh* Please don't bring prestige into this. It was a tired "bragging rights" stat in Call of Duty, it'll be a tired "bragging rights" stat here too
