[Syndicate Melees confirmed/revealed (Feedback and Discussion)]

 So if I heard at the Devstream #78 correctly, the idea of what weapons were chosen for the syndicates were the melee weapons that were rather underused. Overall the selection was pretty meh but..

 

...why are we getting a Vaykor Sydon? That doesn't fir the Steel Meridian theme at all. If they're supposed to be Grineer defectors, rebels and utilize guerilla tactics in their fight against their brothers, why a Sydon and not a Machete? It'd make much more sense and would bring the Machete back into the circulation. It's a weapon with a great model that's surprisingly -really- strong in Conclave, but absolutely awful in PvE. This was a great opportunity to give us a cool melee that fits Steel Meridian's theme and one that'd make sense. Unlike Sydon.

 

Or, since on the topic, why aren't we getting a Rakta Karyst. It was a dagger utilized by an order of Tenno assassins, that's more than perfect for Red Veil.

 

The other picks fit just right, like the Magistar, Lecta, Heliocor and the Boltace, but the chosen weapons for Steel Meridian and Red Veil make no sense at all and don't fit with the theme of the syndicates too well. (In my opinion.)

The arms show ONLY on Nova's skin, NOT the syandana. Wish the devs were more transparent with these pack exclusive packs.

 Sad to see them change the Burston's model. The original was featured in the initial concept video and was a nice lil' relic of the past.

 I like the new flight system, a lot more than before. The visibility is a bit worse, since the wings tend to obscure most of the vision, and the cone of vision is a bit smaller too, but the free movement is awesome.

[What's the point of Void missions now?]

 I thought we were meant to get Traces or Relics in them, they drop f-all. What's the point to them now, can't find anything in the patch notes (unless I'm blind).
