  1. I won't give you mods, because everyone else seems to have done it already, but what a true Blessing build is that the Trinity uses a weapon such as Glaive to drop their Health to something stupidly low (2 Health is usually the number, as has been stated) to get the damage reduction to 99% (it's actually over that, and much closer to 100%) though I'm not sure how popular this build actually is in terms of how people play; it's certainly not something I'm interested in doing, but each to their own.

So, power strength, if you're that way inclined, and a lot of duration to make the build most effective.

Really, though, because of the way Blessing works, you need to be at a very low Health (it's easiest as the Trinity to be at the one to do so at will, as many factors can mean you miss a teammate's Health dropping into that rage before they're hit one too many times and start mouthing off at you for not using Blessing in time =P) in order to cast Blessing at 99% damage reduction. It takes a fair bit of work to get it right, from what I understand, though, again, I never bothered with it. I also believe it has the ability to make players lazy—this is coming from experience. I started playing other frames again (mainly to level) after finishing my Trinity build, and realized how much I was heavily relying on that Health/Shield restoration. Just a word of warning!

Personally, I use a more rounded build, of which does pretty well for Blessing and Link, in particular, though my EV is a tad lacking (not that I use it), but it's all just personal preference. Don't limit yourself to a single build, though; make sure you can still have other mod configurations for other builds!

lmao Best answer three minutes before I manage to finish typing this because I fell asleep xD

  2. At least you can sing though, I get dodgy looks when singing Happy Birthday.

I suppose I could do screamo metal stuff, does that count as singing?

I can kinda sing. Never said I did, nor that was any good; was talkin' about Telly, who I'm sure has a pretty awesome voice too (dunno if I'll ever convince him to let me hear him sing, but regardless, he's awesome!)

I think screamo does count as singing? Maybe? I dunno really; I'm a mix between a soprano and a mezzo-soprano, and I know about three other voice types (all of which are male...I think?). Anything else in the technical realm of music is beyond me, bar Smoke on the Water and basic drumming...I really should get back into that... *looks at wallet* Oh. Right. That's why I haven't yet...

  3. I have that problem, just from the other direction. Voice too deep to do much with.

Thing is, though, is that I have absolutely 0% chance of passing (as male) with a voice like mine... If I try and lower it, at best, I sound like a preteen boy. And that's at absolute best.

  4. Ahhh, I've never read those.

I've read about three of those in that list, and about thirteen of the...lots of books on my shelf; I neither have the time, nor the patience to put up with my eyes to read. Unfortunately, even when wearing my glasses, words jumble themselves together, and I have a hard time..

  5. ...you're concerned about an optical illusion and I'm here with my nose pressed to my phone screen, trying to read your book titles.

Okay, so those book titles, left to right:

Keeping Faith, Perfect Match, Salem Falls, Songs of the Humpback Whale, all four by Jodi Picoult, Great Short Works of Edgar Allan Poe, Deltora Quest (collections two and three), Emily Rodda, one you can't see which is Ivanhoe, by Sir Walter Scott, and the Death Note (Black Edition) Volume IV (four).

There's a lot more on that darn shelf, but I dare not approach it to tell you all the names, for fear of my life—it's out to get me, I swear!

This is an inside joke, mainly between Shinobu_Scorpion and myself.

  6. I find it difficult to post photos of myself in a place where not a lot of people know me, because, like NavyBluePanda, I am also transgender.

However, since my face isn't as bad as my voice, I think I can work up the guts to show you guys my goofy mug.

    0yTwwaA.jpg

    Also bonus mohawk!!

    XUoPT0N.jpg

P.S. All of you guys are cute!!

At least you can sing!! Bloody stupidly high voice, no matter what I do! =P

  7. ...you're concerned about an optical illusion and I'm here with my nose pressed to my phone screen, trying to read your book titles.

I'm being bad and on my phone when I should be working (not really, it's been meetings all day) but I'll tell you all the titles once I'm home!

By the way, that bookself is evil and bloodthirsty! It's out to get me!!

  8. *has internal debate* I'll go upload a picture now; I was going to do a transitional thing anyway (was still debating over posting it anywhere), so I may as well post one of me now, and one of me later!

    lLLgDFz.jpg

Is it just me, or does that hook on the wall behind me look like a slightly out-of-place earring? o ~ O

  9. Sleep is overrated, so is 'presentable'

A couple of my pics, you can't even see the lower half of my face or my clothes.

Ehh Maybe I might before then, but another factor of my hesitancy is that I'm trans* so I'd like to actually have a picture of me when I'm comfortable in my own skin, than a picture of me right at the current stage, y'know?

  10. ...I would post a picture of myself, however, I'm currently not in a presentable state; maybe in a couple of weeks when I've actually managed to get some proper sleep!

And, y'know, cut my hair, bought some more presentable clothes, etc., etc. I really do need to start taking better care of myself before I attempt to show my face to the general public lmao

  11. Hi, Alex!

I'm Ren (you can call me that, or Navy/Panda), and welcome to Warframe!

It's really great that you're enjoying the game! Always a great thing to hear! Personally, I love the game, and I love the community even more, though, as great as both are, you're likely to get bored if you're not actively working on anything new in the game, as the grind can get a bit old. It's a thing in any game such as Warframe, really; you'll really want this one thing, but you just can't seem to get it for the life of you. It's a tad annoying, and really does get old quite fast. I'll have periods where I'm playing actively and getting a lot of enjoyment out of it, and periods I just decide not to play, or decide to sit in the Relay and chat or help out (which is more likely). Always check back in, though, because new content is added all the time!

As KestralSylver said, you really do want to take your time, otherwise you're going to run out of things to do! One of the few things that keeps me playing is helping out other players in whatever they're trying to do (if I can), and (attempting) to run my own Alliance—done pretty well so far! Haha

Being a super awesome Space Ninja is great, and I'd say Warframe is, by far, one of the best games I've ever played, in spite of how annoying some of the grind can be, and I think that's mainly because of the great community we have here! You made the right choice in joining us here, my dear Tenno; I can certainly say I enjoy watching new players as they grow and "mature" into pretty great players, and knowledgeable ones at that! Look forward to doing the same with you =)

If you need anything, feel free to PM me on the Forums; although I can't help you ingame, due to the fact I happen to not have an Xbox, I'll do what I can to help you without being there!

  12. How is this not appearing in any other fullscreen application?

This is not the cable problem I've assumed it was.

Which gpu is installed? Are the drivers up to date? What are the gpu settings on the topic of energy saving (performance or quality)?

    [Edit]

If it's a HP laptop with two gpus, one of which is an ATI card reserved for "gaming", I'll tell you up front, it will keep failing one way or the other until you give up on it. Speaking from experience, and I didn't even use it for gaming. So it's best to switch to something else if you can.

That's what I thought, too, but apparently not.

It's a GeForce 820M, and the drivers are updated. I've updated the drivers a few times, but the problem persists. I believe for the most part my gpu settings stray towards quality instead of performance, specifically for Warframe they stray towards quality.

My laptop is a Lenovo Z50, so not sure if that's the issue. Maybe my laptop just can't handle Warframe? But it handles other similar games (in terms of graphics) without any problems.

Just been poking around at the system requirements, and your GPU does meet the minimum system requirements. However, it is an entry-level card. You're best off turning down all your settings and seeing if it helps. Since you're on a laptop, there really isn't anything you can do otherwise to improve this, whilst still using your laptop, unfortunately. Let us know if that helps!

As a laptop user myself (and I'm on one that's on life support, practically), I really would not recommend getting a laptop at all in the future (i.e. get a desktop), unless you're really needing the mobility, and are willing to fork out the money for a fair quality gaming laptop. Though it's often deemed unnecessary to get one specifically, over another laptop that may be cheaper, good gaming laptops will usually be the last to become obsolete, and will run faster, and better, and all that jazz. (dear lord, I feel old for using that...) I'm sure you don't want to hear see me go on about spending more money than I'm sure you already have, though, so I'll leave it at that! =P

If you need anything further about ^that, feel free to PM me; I'll gladly help out!

  13. You are able to play the game with dozen of stroboscopes effects. Arguing than when you visit a forum and you see 1-2 pics in like 100 of threads makes you a hypocrite.

It´s like saying you have lung cancer and you´re still smoking at home and when you´re walking into a bar you´re asking if everyone could stop smoking because you have lung cancer. And nobody is even touching your right to smoke in those moments.

Strobing effects are actually very rare in Warframe, and again, my settings are set to avoid such effects as much as possible.

I've seen at least one or two in a lot of the threads I've looked at lately, which is why I decided to post this.

And besides, it wasn't meant to be a post about epilepsy, just about why people tend to post flashing images.

Surprising lack of empathy for the OP, seemingly just because they exaggerated a bit. I think they might understand better than anyone else what someone with epilepsy can and can't deal with.

I don't think I've ever posted a gif in my life but if I do from now on I'll bear in mind whether or not it's appropriate for epilepsy sufferers.

Thank you for actually understanding T u T

As I mentioned above, and earlier, I'm not usually on the Forums, and have only begun to be more recently, so I obviously seem to have happened to find a lot of threads with flashing gifs in them, without really knowing that it's abnormal for there to be many on the Warframe Forums; most other places, there are usually a lot.

  14. I love coffee. If I had severe Hashimoto's disease, should I continue drinking coffee? I love juice, drink it all the time. If I had severe diabetes, should I continue drinking juice all the time?

You can do as you like, even if in so doing you endanger yourself, but you should expect people to suggest that you stop doing things that endanger you due to a severe medical condition.

Accommodating persons with medical conditions is important, yet you cannot and should not expect everyone else to bend over backwards to cater to your every need all the time. For the most part, you need to look out for yourself, rather than expecting others to do it for you.

If your condition is so severe that you have to make extreme changes to the game's graphical settings in order to minimize your risk, feel the need to dictate special instructions to squad mates, and rant on the forums about the occasional slightly flashy image, perhaps bird watching, basketball, model building, journaling, scrapbooking, or some other activity that won't kill you would be more appropriate. Totally up to you, but be aware that other players aren't always going to cater to your every need.

I've been calm about all of this. I haven't ranted at all.

It's not an extreme need to turn down my ingame settings, but I still take the precaution on the chance it could be a thing that helps. I try and keep myself as safe as possible whilst still doing the things I love.

I never asked people to bend over backwards; in fact, I asked why people use them, and for flashing .gifs to be used in this thread. In the Relays, I ask for people not to stand on me because of the flashing camera glitch. Hardly asking for them to cater to my every need; it'd just be nice for people to have a little respect for other people and think before they post, y'know? A spoiler for a flashing image would be great, is all I'm saying. Was never complaining or ranting, simply asking why people do it.

I suppose I don't understand what the obsession is because I have to avoid them, but I'm genuinely curious as to what people love using them so much, and why people don't seem to think about the headaches they can cause (taking epileptics out of the equation entirely to provide an example for the general populace).

    Please explain?

  15. This is a soft one, OP.Right?

    ...OP?

(more seriously : Stinky said it all...I don't see many of them here)

Haha Yeah, it's bright and (often) coloured flashing that causes the issue.

I recall someone with a similar problem once complaining on another forum about how it was hard to avoid such things - I believe that as they found stopping their browser using images from third party sites to be a poor solution (goodbye avatar images, content delivery network images, etc.) that they found a browser plugin that stopped gif's from animating.

While it won't alleviate your issues in all area's, if such a thing may help, perhaps it's worth looking into?

I'll look into it, though, sometimes you want to look at the funny gifs (like the one I saw Megan post on a thread asking about Halloween this year!), y'know? I'll go find something, though. Thank you

My honest opinion; i find it hypocritical to play a game like wf and post a comment like that OP.

I sit a meter away from my monitor, have lights on at all times, all my graphical settings are basically turned off or to low, depending on what it is I can set it as, all to keep myself as safe as possible; I shouldn't have to stop doing the things I love because I have a medical condition. In every aspect of my life, there's something I have to not do, because of some medical ailment. It's upsetting, and if I stopped gaming, there would literally be nothing left for me to do but sit there and twiddle my thumbs all day in silence.

  16.

Yep!  It definitely will work on consoles!

Also, Yes. Any chat that you can pull up in mission -- just type /unstuck and it should work!

I don't think I've tried it outside of squad chat, as that is normally what you are defaulted to once in a mission if i'm not mistaken.  It should work in any of them though, even in a chat that is a PM to someone, etc... !

Plz feel free to correct me if I am wrong about that, anyone! :-)

EDIT:  Do with caution!  I've literally knocked over drinks / food and nearly ruined an entire table / section of carpet and stubbed the everloving out of my toe while trying to scramble for my wireless USB keyboard and controller while falling outside of a map to my death in order to type it before having to use a revive!  Lol!

Didn't they fix the needing to use a revive thing?

  17. How many times do you have to scan a single enemy in order to complete it?

As EvilFlowerChild said, enemies require various numbers of scans; some even require twenty. Your Codex will tell you how many you need, and how many you've already gotten, by clicking on an enemy.

  18. Already built Prime parts used to be able to be traded, from what I have been told (it had already been changed when I started playing), but nowadays, you cannot trade built Prime parts; only parts that have come pre-built (i.e. Prime weapon parts) can be sold in non-blueprint form.

Basically, anything that is able to be traded needs to be done so as acquired, so if it has changed in any way, shape, or form from when you obtained it, you will not be able to trade it to another player.

  19. This!  /\

    Thank you Dagan and others!

Also, as this is a well known issue in many areas/tilesets of the game, and may happen in areas that it has never happened in before as game mechanics / levels / movement change etc etc....

There are very rarely situations where /unstuck will not do the trick!  If you find an area where you can get stuck and /unstuck will not work for some reason, which in turn renders abilities useless somehow, or makes a mission totally incompletable, please report that in the PC / PS4 / XB1 Beta bugs section (respectively).

I wouldn't say "very rarely"... Usually, if you've gotten stuck due to lag, /unstuck will not help you (I know from experience!), but if you've managed to clip into a wall without lag, it'll usually do the trick!

  20. The flashing isn't why people use them. It just happens to be a part for the gif for what ever relevant reason.

It certainly isn't to play on epileptics (as not everyone thinks about that risk because its the internet) and there's no secret obsession behind them.

I personally don't see flashing anything that often, especially here.

Maybe you just had a lot of recent sightings in a short period. Normally its not too bad.

There's definitely no malice behind that and not everyone is going to even remember epilepsy is a thing.

Unfortunately its a risk you take when you go on the interwebz.

Hopefully people are considerate and hide them where reasonable, but its not going to be 100% avoidable.

For most people they don't even cause headaches. Personally I'm not even likely to consciously click that I'm looking at a flashing image. I'd just look at it, respond appropriately and I wouldn't even notice. Its the same for many people.

They just don't effect most people negativity.

Oh, nonono, I didn't mean that people use them to play on epileptics in general; it was more in relation to replying to the topic with them. I know most of the time there's no malice, but I'm still wary of people who think they're being funny and reply to posts such as this with exactly what is being asked about. Sorry for the confusion.

As for having seen a lot in a short period, I've seen quite a few on a fair few of the topics I've looked at lately, but I'm not on the Forums much (or wasn't until recently), so I'm not entirely sure as to what is or isn't normal. I just saw another one earlier, and just snapped my eyes shut so I can simply scroll past it without any further issue. I was always plagued with headaches from flashing, even before I was diagnosed with epilepsy, as are a lot of people I know. Had no idea that wasn't normal.

This is a person who spends over 12 hours in the game and complains about partical effects of other people's idle animations. Whenever I go to relay, I see them there compalining about other player's partical effects, most players of which can't even see this player as they have vanished from the UI due to their idling in the sky box for so long and so many other players showing up. This player routinely likes to charge people with the intent to kill them too, much to my disgust. I have epilectic family members, none were so disrespectful and careless to make such charges against people merely due to their health vulnerabilities. This player honestly creates a negative atmosphere whenever they are around. Its a wonder why they even play this game if they think they are so constantly in threat of intentionally being killed by players with partical effects and random internet gifs of all things.

I don't charge people with the intent to kill me; it's a reality check that it can happen. I ask for people to not stand on me as it does cause flashing and is a thing that could quite possibly cause a fit which, one way or another, can lead to death. I know others around me have accused people of trying to kill me (and have asked them to calm down and stop), but I don't believe I have, and if I have, I apologize; I can lose my temper, as anyone can, and my mood will dictate my words. Unacceptable. I do my best to be respectful about it, but after asking for someone to move repeatedly, and it's not necessarily just by me, but by many people in the Relay, it kinda does get upsetting. Forgive me.

As for why I play the game; I'm allowed to play something I enjoy, regardless of my medical conditions. Others should be respectful of things that bother those around them, regardless of any other conditions. No one likes it when there's someone causing the camera glitch.

I'm sorry you only seem to be around when I make comment on it; I really am not like that most of the time, only when I get upset and lose my temper (which usually isn't a lot, though I do have my limits too; only human...er, Tenno).

  21. Adding a third vote against TeamViewer.

No offense, DJDark3y, but people who have suggested it to help usually turn out to have some ulterior motives.

The issue stated is not an uncommon one, so, hopefully, the steps suggested to troubleshoot this problem will prove helpful and Zachatoo can proceed playing the game.

Completely disregarding the fact that those who suggest it may or may not have ulterior motives (not saying you do, DJDark3y!), it's got very questionable security in general. I'd hate for anything to happen to anyone because of a completely innocent suggestion like that; I heavily advise against using TeamViewer ever, and if you ever do, do a complete uninstall of the program, and any and every check you possibly could do... I really don't trust that program.
