I think that is not fair for people to not be able to buy those beautifull skins for pl  #tennogenforpl #makewarframegreatagain

If you spent hours or days or weeks creating something for Tennogen, would you rather get payed with in-game platinum or real money? I know which one I would choose.

He's Right, sometimes they do go against that M/F concept. Don't forget Nezha in between Atlas and Wukong, so there's three male frames, so far they've done Titania, Octavia, Gara, as of Now and soon With Khorra, that's four females, so the next after Khorra will be a Male Frame...

You left out Nidus and Harrow. The M/F/M/F pattern has held since Wukong. Gara and Khora will be the first two fem frames released back to back since Saryn and Banshee were released in Update 7.

I have no problem with this.

  3. I'm going to have to disagree with this topic for one reason: incursions. If you want to do high level incursions (whether solo or in a group), you have to do a high-level bounty first. There's really nothing else to do while waiting for incursions to pop other than fishing or mining.

  4. I came here to post the same suggestion, so I'm adding my "vote." Give us the ability to use skins on Zaws! I'm hesitant to really invest any time/resources into them if we're not going to be able to use skins with them. I don't want to insult the artist(s) who made them, but for the most part, the way the Zaws look just don't do it for me.

Just so you know after 16, MR don't mean squat in this game.

Actually, it does. It means more daily standing for syndicates, Cephalon Simaris, the Ostrons, and the Quills (1000 per rank), a higher cap on void traces (50 per rank), more loadout slots (one every two ranks), and possibly some other things I'm forgetting about.

That said, it's still pretty whiny to get bent out of shape over a handful of weapons being locked into login milestones. We already had this discussion 100 days ago about Primed Shred, and 100 days before that, and so on. The login rewards are meant to reward the players who consistently log into the game on a daily basis, while early/fast access to new items and exclusive prime accessories are (some of) the rewards for players who spend money on the game.

These are the players who keep the game alive, not the people who disappear for months at a time between major updates, only logging in to check out the new shinies before shelving the game for another few months.

  6. The very first MMO I ever played (Dark Age of Camelot back in the early 2000s) is somehow still going with a relatively small but passionate player base.

Warframe will eventually shut down, but it doesn't look like it will be any time soon. Could be a few years from now, or a few decades (or a few months from now we could all die in a nuclear war). Only time will tell. Whenever it happens, the time and money you spend in the game is not wasted anymore than the time and money you spend watching a movie in a theater or attending a sporting event or a concert.

    It's entertainment.

  7. There are plenty of frames that don't have any non-Tennogen skins. I agree that Tennogen skins are most of the time much better than most of the stuff DE has been putting out recently (Mag Deluxe is great, but Gara's rubbery glass "armor" and those shoulder pads...*shudder*). However, I think that's a testament to the skill of the Tennogen creators, and that they deserve what they get from those sales.

In the end, it's only cosmetic, and there will undoubtedly eventually be a skin for Mesa that can be purchased for platinum. Until then, if Mesa's appearance is that offensive to you, just play a different frame. Or, you can cough up the cash for one of the excellent Tennogen skins (which you can pay for with your Steam wallet, which you may be able to fill by selling off Steam trading cards or items from certain other free-to-play games like TF2...not the fastest route, but that's how I got the Nova Visage skin).

  8. This is my take:

After TWW, the Operator is able to use Transference and control a warframe without the physical somatic link. They continue to sit in the chair for comfort, and it may have some life-support functions as well. Also, similar to the way Corrupted Vor is able to teleport and even survive beyond the destruction of his physical form, the Operator is able to teleport (de-materialize/re-materialize) using a warframe as a conduit. When their physical form is threatened, they teleport back and resume control of the warframe. When the warframe is severely damaged, the Operator is no longer able to use it as a conduit, and must concentrate their energy to revive the warframe (which is taxing and can only be performed a few times per mission).

As for the last question, I agree with the previous poster's assessment: basically just a convenience for the purpose of gameplay, though you could explain it with "space magic," because that's all this void stuff is anyway. :P

  9. The Tenno are not very well represented by the (in my opinion) ridiculous operator communications in missions. I really wish they'd scrap all of it and replace it with something else. I highly recommend turning them off in your options, you may find the game much more enjoyable this way.

Their bodies, however, make perfect sense in the canon of Warframe, and I really enjoy the new content in PoE and getting to unleash the power that the Void has bestowed upon us. There is still much room for improvement with mobility, animations, and the aforementioned dialog (among other things), but I am confident that we will see these issues addressed eventually.

With most of PoE things. You can't buy anything. So you can't progress at all, you can only play bounties and that's it until the developers will be "so kind" to change at least some stupid resource costs which means you basically can't play and have to wait not even knowing if it's gonna be fixed at all. I'm not talking about bugs. Bugs are whatever. They happen. But the resource and focus cost? Yeah no. There's nothing that can justify it. And if again you can buy a booster even if it's the "best ft2 game" but yo ucan't buy anything in poe. This even makes me give up despite that I currently have pretty much everything that isn't prime access-related farmed and tons of resources like 100k oxium or farmed about 7k mutangen samples alone that for most people is unobtainable.

(EDIT: I just quoted the most recent part of your posts that I read. This is not a direct response to the above quote, but more of a response to my perception of your attitude.)

I think you're being a bit unfair to DE. Their philosophy, which they have demonstrated time and time again, is that when they release new content, they try to err on the side of "bad" (underpowered weapon, overcosted blueprint, etc.) so that when they inevitably have to tweak it, it will feel like a good thing (buffing power of a weapon, reducing costs, etc.), as opposed to a "nerf." I heard Steve (might have been Scott, I don't recall) explain this once in a Devstream a while back, which is probably something they should mention more often, as it would help ease the panic over the economic issues in new content.

They haven't always succeeded in this effort, and sometimes it doesn't seem like they even try, but you can see it in plain view with PoE. Ostron standing from bounties and incursions have been doubled, cost of archwing launchers cut back drastically, fishing consumable BPs made reusable, Quill standing gained from intact sentient cores increased from 25 to 100, and so on.

It's perfectly reasonable to criticize the things that are wrong with this update. DE relies on that criticism to know where and how to tweak things. However, to insinuate that the fact that there are problems means that DE doesn't care about the experience of their players is flat out wrong.

  11. EDIT: Okay, I actually decided to test it, and it seems I misunderstood the increase in operator HP from 100 (before PoE) to 250 (after) as the 150% increase from Vazarin, but that seems to be the new base HP for operators now (at least after completing Saya's Vigil and receiving your first amp).

I just unbound one of my way-bound passives today (Madurai, Inner Gaze), and I'm confused about how it's supposed to work. Before, I thought that way-bound passives were meant to apply to your operator regardless of which school was active as your primary. I thought this because the health bonus (easiest one to see the effect of), unlocked (but still way-bound) by the points I had in the Vazarin school, was active even though my primary school was set to Madurai. I thought that "unbinding" them simply meant unlocking the final upgrade to the ability.

But now I see that unbinding a way-bound passive makes it "unbound" and appear in each other school, which I can activate in that school as well (if I have the available pool). I suspect that the intention was for this to be the method of obtaining all of the passive operator buffs from the other schools in your primary school, but as is, we seem to already have the effects of (at least some of) the way-bound passives that we have unlocked regardless of our current primary/active school.

So, how exactly is this stuff supposed to work? Could we get some official explanation?

In the future, maybe you could add some dialog to the Quill guy explaining this stuff in-game, or even a tutorial.

EDIT: So, now that I know how it works, it seems really grindy to unbind and use all the passives as is. On top of the 1 million focus for each ability (10 million total), there's the extra focus you need to spend (in whichever school(s) you intend to actively use) to increase your pool so that you can activate them (tons and tons of focus...more than I care to imagine). Even with the 16 million or so focus across 4 different schools that I have acquired in the nearly two years since The Second Dream, I still can't see the end of this grind, and that's not even including unlocking the other, non-"way-bound" abilities in one or more schools.

  12. I agree with pretty much all of this. The worst part is the junk rewards for 20-30 minutes of bounty running, followed closely by the fact that the bait and dye blueprints are one-use and cost so much standing. It's really frustrating to run around for so long and get a few thousand credits as a "reward." I hadn't really looked into the amp upgrades and such, but that sounds pretty disheartening.

However, I do find the fishing and mining more enjoyable than I thought I would. I just got the second mining laser last night, and the extra 15m range really makes a difference in finding minerals. Tracing those curves and getting the most from them is exceptionally difficult, though, especially since it fades moments after you begin cutting. I think I've managed to get 4 out of 5 (of whatever those icons are) maybe once, usually 1-3, which is discouraging, especially if you don't have a resource booster. Maybe the upgraded lasers could expand the area around the curve that counts as a hit? Or at least make the curve stay visible while you cut!

I have seen a wisp once or twice, but it just floated up into the air and disappeared (didn't realize you just had to touch it). I've gotten 4 from bounty rewards. :/

Anyway, there's certainly a lot of room for improvement. I think the folks at DE have done a good job of listening to player feedback in the past, and I am confident that they will continue to do so in making tweaks and changes to the new systems for the betterment of the game as a whole.

  13. Would be great, but unlikely, mainly because they've already established that profile glyphs are bought with platinum from the market (or as part of a Prime Access pack).

Now that I think about it though, I could see DE adding a "custom" glyph unlocked with plat which would allow you to use a (cropped) Captura image. Maybe it would also cost plat to change it, like clan and alliance emblems do.
