  1. There are so many good cosmetics out there, and a few frames with TONS of TennoGen... unfortunately I'm hesitant to buy many of these because I already have an A, B, and C appearance that I really like. This often makes me hesitant or completely unwilling to get another cosmetic (especially TennoGen that has to be bought with my own money out of pocket) for the same frame or weapon, since I wouldn't be able to use more than three of them. I understand that "capacity" is always an issue with this, having to store the information of multiple different appearance setups, but I have two (hopefully not naive) solutions:

    1. Make extra appearances (and builds) beyond A/B/C be purchaseable for plat, per item. Make it a cost that's not too crazy, but still large enough that it'll keep the amount of extra appearances/builds to a minimum

    2. Store the data for what goes where on the client's local device, and then the ownership of those items on the server, that way the game simply has to read the information of what cosmetics you have and in what positions (colors, armor, syandanas, etc) or what mods you have on each build from your personal device, and then cross-checks with the server to verify that you do indeed own those items, so that even if the user could figure out how to edit the file containing those preferences, they'd be unable to add items they didn't personally own because the server would decline it and replace it with a default helmet/skin, or remove the mod in the case of builds.

Long story short, I really want to be able to have more than three appearances for my Nova, or my Equinox, or my <whatever> but I currently cannot.

    Thank you

Large isn't the same as distinct. It's obviously not something that can't be made up, but it's also obviously something locked away for anyone who happened to not be there at the time. Perhaps if your view is to keep it as a "badge" that someone paid, then your mindset should be to allow people to pay for it now as well. Paywalling is one thing, but paywalling and then time-locking permanently is another.

No I don't want people to pay for it because then there'd be a bunch of people running around with them that just paid for them and that'd be sad, because I actually played in the beginning, I've been through the entire lifespan of the game, and those vandals are a reminder/badge of that... they shouldn't have that badge. Either that, or create a Closed Beta accolade that indicates the same.

Yeah, I for one hate the thought of people having alternate version of weapons they like using and having a distinct chunk of exp that I also have. Down with collectors and completionists, let's hold everything back forever! Stop rereleasing primes too while you're at it, it's unfair to the people who farmed for them back when we had keys instead of relics! Heck stop letting people download the game, keep it as a badge of people who played it from the start.

Yep, 6000 mastery is such a distinct chunk of your level progress that you desperately need. /s

As for which to double up on that can highly depend on the frame, weapon, modding and even faction you're fighting.

I was asking less about build help (I'm fully capable of understanding what works best on what), and more about mechanically how they work in regards to having double sets, if that's mechanically worth it (ie the effects actually stack, or not). But you did more-or-less answer that, so thanks :)

having two of the same type will not increase your chance to proc either

Au contrare though, according to the following explanation of independent probabilities from /r/AskMath, having two does increase the chance to proc either of them
    - Two independent 75% chances together equal a roughly 92% chance of at least one of them occuring
    - There is a 56% chance that both occur simultaneously
    - There's a 6% chance that neither occur

BUT... like I said, I'm not sure how arcane calculations work in regards to that-- I know for a fact that these figures are true for Magus Elevate (75% chance per each set to restore +200 health, with that 56% chance that they both proc and give +400 health). That's a one-time event though, not a duration-based event, which is what I'm curious about. Only one that's really definite in that regard is Grace, which can also be observed fairly clearly (especially on Inaros) when the rate of health regen increases once the 2nd set procs on top of the first.

You sure more than 1 specific set will be appliable on a WF after the "rework"? Cuz I heard it will not.
So for example 2x arcane Grace on the same WF won't work. 2 arcanes - yes, but different.

Do you have a source on that? Cause I never heard any such thing. If true, I'm going to be severely upset, because certain builds of mine are based around a double set, such as Inaros with double-Grace for around 800hp/s when both proc.

  6. The wiki is very unclear about which arcanes do and don't double their effects if you have two sets on the same frame, except for Arcane Grace-- that one is very clear that having two Grace sets will give you a chance to proc both at once, causing your health regen to be 8% rather than 4% while both procs are active simultaneously. None of the others mention anything about that. Does that mean that they don't?

Basically I'm just wondering which arcanes should not use double max sets, if they don't double their effect
    Specifically interested in:

    - Aegis (does having two give you a chance for 120 shields/second?)

    - Rage (does having two give you a chance for 240% damage?)

    - Fury (does having two give you a chance for 240% damage?)

    etc.

    Thanks

If they had the data they would have shown it by now.

    Uh... no?
DE is not easy to comprehend. I'm not saying I disagree with the desire for univac and how stupid it is that we don't have it, but... y'know... just because something makes sense, doesn't mean that's what DE thinks-- usually the opposite, actually.

i'm still annoyed that i have to learn more than one school... ...

Uh... why? Are you annoyed that you have to level up multiple different frames? Are you annoyed that you don't have one gun that's a bow, a rifle, a BR, a sniper, a shotgun, an SMG, a grenade launcher, a rocket, a laser, a pistol, throwing knife, and a melee all in one?

There's different schools for different roles (energy/casting, healing/support, melee/stealth, armor/utility, and pure damage).

  9. DE please let us link a focus school to a particular frame build
    Examples:
    - Link Madurai to Wukong Config A
    - Link Naramon to Valkyr Config B
    - Link Unairu to Inaros Config C
so that when you're playing that build on that frame, it automatically uses that focus school.

It would make using multiple different focus schools a lot easier, rather than having to go back to the Operator room to change it every time you switch frames/loadouts. Sometimes you don't even remember to switch and then you've got to use what you've got on (potentially sub-optimal), or abort the mission to go back and change it, manually.

Additionally, you'd set your main school back in the operator room like normal, so if you chose not to bind a particular school to a build, it would just default to your chosen school.

  10. Also, only 2 things I want from Focus Rework, on top of whatever else you're changing:
    1. Have focus passives just be passive; no waiting for first activation to make them active. I didn't get pissed off about dying in WF before focus, but now that dying before 2 mins means I have to start charging my focus passive all over again from the beginning, I get flaming mad when I die (or I waste 2 minutes every mission at the start charging the focus up). This isn't good gameplay.

    2. Do not change Zenurik's 4 energy/second unless you're scrapping it and making it universal to everything. That energy regen is vital to fun gameplay where I can actually make use of my powers on a regular basis.

  11. I've finally gotten fed up with this enough to make a post.

    Hijack respawning is 100% broken.
In short, if you die while on the hijack object (the tram), you will not respawn next to the tram when your revive, you will respawn where your feet last touched the ground, which is often at the very start of the tramline. Every. Single. Time.

Might not be that big a deal with a squad, but it's essentially instant mission failure if you die while solo because you won't be able to get back to the tram in time to save it from dying, unless you remember the workaround-- get off the tram every so often to create a new respawn point closer to where you might be.
