  1. What I did: Amar: Land of the Eternal Laps. Seriously. I ran and/or rolled in circles for 20 minutes, healing every time it recycled, taking shots at Amar mostly after he’d pounced and was stunned for a few seconds. Any time health dipped below 100, I prioritized getting it back up to 250 before taking shots again. Being able to move forward while firing backwards was invaluable for me. Boreal: I found it an easier fight as the mechanics seemed to be more manageable. Keep a tree in between you two, alternating left and right sides until the Archon teleports behind you. Then rinse and repeat on the other side. Low on health? Take some laps. Boreal wasn’t as dogged (see what I did there!?) as Amar, and I seemed to have as much downtime as I needed. The trickiest bits were staying out of the electrified ground (run the OTHER way) and dropping smoke screen and rolling in to the screech bubble to shoot and disrupt the regen.
  2. UPDATE: I ended up having to tackle the battles (Amar and Boreal) on PC. There’s no way in the world I can conceptualize them being doable on mobile with the amount of rolling, running, quick pot shots, etc. that one has to do. I definitely needed a mouse and 7 fingers to keep up with the flow.
  3. In another MMO where increased speed could be granted, there was a setting in user preferences that could be selected/deselected to auto opt in or out of speed buffs granted by other players. Worked great. Might be a helpful solution here.
  4. Will try, thanks! And honestly it seemed to be a war of attrition. I kept respawning and respawning and respawning and….until the game either glitched out of embarrassment for me or tossed me a pity save and I respawned into the second “aim for the mothership” phase of that stage. I was quietly hoping that any Sentinels I killed stayed killed after I respawned, but I dunno.
  5. Scene setting: New to Warframe. iOS version has been my jam. Up until the New War, everything was great. Gameplay is tons of fun. Graphics, sound, and music are stellar. Systems built on systems built on other systems which are all built on separate economic consumables can seem needlessly dense and fragmented, but whatever. Still not too hard to compartmentalize and focus on this or that. All in all, super fun sandbox that gives one lots of agency to tinker and explore. And the iOS implementation has been pretty fantastic (though I’d love to be able to have auto-melee and the heavy attack button both active simultaneously). The New War though…man. Maybe it’s due to the touch iOS interface and smaller screen real estate, but as much of a slog and grind as it’s been - the Archon fights are a brick wall for me. Dead stopped at my first Archon (Amar). Just done. Full stop. Just can’t seem to keep up with the mechanics control/UI wise. Trying to constantly be turning, and rolling, and aiming, and shooting - just too much for my two poor fingers. And knowing there are two more after him? Frustrated, annoyed, and disappointed. Again assuming it’s maybe more of an iOS experience ‘thing’. Not sure what a solution might be, past, I’d be just as happy to make these fights optional so I can get back to the fun bits.
