Flechete/Point Blank/ Accelerated Blast/ Blaze / Hell Chamber + Ravage / Blunderbuss.

Ravage/Blunderbuss > any of the remaining elemental mods combos. It's +53% total damage output, so it improves your existing +60% fire damage from blaze and your 150% armor piercing damage from Flechette/Blast.

Full elemental with 1 critical or other mod.

Why? Cause a full multi, dmg, ap and crit build takes all but 1 slot, giving you +150% ap, fire, and ap, 120% multi, 35%ish crit chance and 3.2x crit damage, plus +90% damage for either ice or electric if you choose to use one of those in the final slot. Nice but RNG, and RNG is RNG.

Now full elemental + 1 crit: +150% fire, ap, damage, 120% multi, 90% ice, elect, and either 35% chance to do 2x crit damage or 20% chance to do 3.2x crit damage...

Short answer go full damage and only use either a crit mod, or something else you feel you need.

Wrong. Critical mods multiply each other's power. They also multiply the most important elemental damage, Armor Piercing.

Nice but RNG, and RNG is RNG.

With a maxed out hell chamber, you are shooting 22 pellets per trigger pull. Shotguns check crit chance per pellet. RNG's feast or famine effects are negligible at this rate. You are not shooting a ratio of 4 non-crit shots to 6 crit shots, you are shooting 10 shots that will be partially crit boosted.

It's perfectly reliable. Shotguns work just as well as automatics when it comes to reliability of the damage boost from crit RNG. It's simple statistics - a full clip of multishot Strun shots is 176 individual crit rolls.
