I haven't touched this game for over 3 years, how do I get back into it?

My last post on this forum was October 2015, I used to play this game so much and properly grind it. I pretty much stopped playing since all the void changes and since then its gotten pretty confusing and I just don't know where to start to get back into this game. After 2000+ hours I would have thought I would know what I'm doing if I just jumped straight back into it but unfortunately not. The game has gotten so much bigger and changed alot, if anyone could give me a list on things to do to progress again or something along them lines I would be very greatful. 

(Don't know if this is the correct area to post this but I just assume it would be)

1. Clear all Junctions

2. Do the new Quests (Sacrifice and its requirements)

3. Grind Cetus/Plains for Focus

4. Enjoy the rest after you got a overview

Focus on the cinematic questline (and prerequisites) to start with.

I did the same after more than 4 years absence. I went exactly like GnarlsDarkley said. The most important part in the beginning is doing quests. They get you going and teach the new game mechanics.
