[switch] I can't seem to get Dargyn Pilots to spawn in the plains

It's been 4 day/night cycles now and those dumb guys aren't spawning. whenever I try to do an escort mission all i get to spawn are those drop pod units.

Do you need it for a riven challenge?

If so, then do the Assault mission on Kuva Fortress. When melting the gate at the start of the mission its gonna spawn like 7 Dargyns. Unless you got the "Kill X Dargyn pilots before they hit the ground" in which case you gonna have to do PoE, because I think those Dargyns in the assault missions dont "drop" their pilots as they do on plains.

sadly, i need to kill the pilot not the actual dargyns, so the kuva one won't work

Yeah, I dont bother with that challenge, i just sell the Unveiled riven... Too many things need to align

1. Getting them to spawn,

2. Destroying the Dargyn without hurting the pilot,

3. Managing to kill the pilot before it hits the ground,

4. Game actually recognizing that you did that, which doesnt always happen.

5. Your Squad members leaving the Dargyns alone for you.

All those things combined make this challenge a complete annoyance and just not worth my time.

However, if you are doing Cetus bounties on a regular basis, then might as well try and complete the challenge as you are farming the standing. If you dont need the standing, id suggest you sell the riven. If you really really want a riven just use the plat you got from selling this one to buy another for the same price.

it's a shotgun relic so i don't want to get rid of it T^T, like with mesa this challenge should be pretty easy, it's just that either i'm really really unluckly on the switch, or there's some kind of bug where they just don't spawn. on PC there's like at least 2 of them each poe trip i make

for the dargyn pilots killing without hitting the ground i use my itzal with cosmic crush. 

i fly around searchin for already grounded pilots not yet in a dargyn

i hover above them, use cosmic crush (with cold snap mod) to lift them off the ground and freeze them midair.

easy way to clear that riven challange.

i think they also only spawn during the day not in night cycle

what you need then is a tusk seeker drone.  they can summon enemies.

flares

• Red: Additional Firbolg-platoon.
• Pink: Additional Bolkor-platoon.
• Purple: Drop-pod platoon on flare location.
• Blue: Tusk Dargyn air support.
• Green: Tusk Ogma bomber support.

so you need the blue flare what i recommend is find a platoon kill all except one and let him spawn the drone.

then you have to repeat till you have the blue flare.

Don't listen to this guy. Zephyr makes this easy. I see someone else above using Itzal. There are always methods to complete these. In this case, the most difficult part is just finding the pilots

You've only adressed point #3.

If you don't have a zephyr, go get one. Your very first statement is don't bother, just sell. That's fine for you, but don't lead with that to others.

You make your suggestion, I make mine. The OP decides which one to listen to and thats that.

"That's fine for you, but don't lead with that to others." is a bit weird statement, as what the hell would you expect when someone asks a question here? People will post their opinions/strategies and the OP will choose which answer/strategy aligns more with their preferences. I could use the same logic to your suggestion : Build a sub par frame, that statistically speaking you probably wont use, for a single riven challenge is fine for you, but don't lead with that to others. Hows that sound now? Sounds a bit weird, doesnt it?

Spending 3 minutes to sell the riven and then buy another riven of same weapon type in warframe market is a solid suggestion. He'll probably spend more time just getting them to spawn, then getting some other decent challenge that can actually be completed in 90% of the game passively. Opposed to a riven challenge that can only be completed in ONE map with all the stars aligning perfectly. All the things on the list that I mentioned need to happen for it to work.

 

Just saying man. Other people posted their answers, but it didnt occur to me to tell them off in any way. I let the OP decide as only they know what fits them best. So as long as other answers are not completely ridiculous, dont bother quoting and say words like "Dont listen to this guy" about the persons strategy on how to deal with certain things in this game if its actually just a preference thing. Thats it.

Go into PoE direct from star chart, not through cetus.  During the day!!!  Then hop in an archwing and fly around and tree trop level and listen for the booms of when transports and dargyns warp in......  

One of the places that seem to spawn them alot is if you are walking away from the cetus gate go off to the right at a 45 degree angle and across the river.   Like before the turret for that base thats over there.  

Everywhere else is a crapshoot.   While your flying around you can also spot them on the ground and shoot AT them so they get pissed off and jump in the air.. 

Im trying to get the grey paint from those Dargyn Pilots.  It sucks im gonna have to try and finish that before I can work on Fortuna paint =/
