Reporting leeches?

Pardon this thread, but is there a function or section to report leeches?

(Just got not one, but two guys leeching the fifth bounty on fortuna, when their places could have been taken by people who wanted to actually help with them, rather than just mind their business and take rewards from the work of others.)

If your matchmaking is set to Public you should go into every mission expecting to be able to Solo carry.

In Public no one has authority over other players and how they wish to play.

If you do need the support of a squad, specifically request the help from LFG or your Clan.

 

DE does not consider leeching to be an important enough problem to have a specific report option for it

Reports are for serious things like: Harassment, Language, Real-life Threats.

 

However, if you wish to bypass the Reporting system, you can always directly contact DE customer support. Just know that you will be wasting their time; the Reports exist for a reason after all...

Near the top of the forum page, there's a link called "support desk". Click that (you might well need to sign in to the website proper), then go to "submit a request" at the top-right of the page.

Pick "report user or hack", then select "Report AFK Player" from the "category" drop-down box.

You will need evidence: screenshots at several phases of the mission showing the leecher far away from the objective doing nothing useful (one screenshot showing them far away is not enough, they could have joined late and been left behind; two of them a couple of minutes apart showing them still miles away is however sufficient proof), possibly also the mission results screen as well.

This is true. The two systems ought to be more consistent. I'm not completely sure why there are two separate report mechanisms with a fair amount of overlap in the categories which they accept.

Like I said earlier, cause DE doesn't want people wasting their time on stuff that isn't important.

putting it in-game on easy access would have people constantly reporting minor or false issues.

 

if you have to do it manually; that's a good layer of filtering
