Just Wondering Why Isnt "this" A Thing

So we have the new golem boss... which is a multi stage boss.... but only four people at a time can fight him (excuse my poor english, it is not my first language)

Could it ever be possible to have assasination missions with more than four people at a time like other "traditional" mmo ?

Could make a complex boss where each frane would have its own little thing to do to contributr in a special way to said boss fight...

The game engine physically cant handle more than 4 players, It can, But it bugs the engine out and normally enemys dont spawn or if they do there glitched ( Normally  level 1 with absurd hp ) Steve himselfs said this a few times, And has been proven when the old 50 man defence bugs used to happen ( They still do , But super rarely )

 

Apart from that you could, If you had someone with a reliable upload/ping to connect to if someone used a 10-15 up/L line it should be fine for players upto 10, Thats estimation so don't take my word on anything

then why not then have a big &#! boss where multiple groups will focus on but in separated lobbies.

 

 

say 1 group is tasked with killing the boss.

another group is  doing its own set of  objectives in their own instance that affects the 1st team.

 

so say team 1 is fighting Vor , he pulls out a shield.

team 2 is tasked to do a defense mission , they are protecting a console that every couple minutes disables Vors shield.

 

team 1 proceeds to kill vor.

 

 

 

and say there is a team 3 that are holding back infested or what ever from dropping into a vent that with each infested goin in will spawn a new one for team 1 to fight with Vor.

 

 

 

 

 

that way you got 3 different teams achieving the same goal of stopping Vor but with the limitations set by the game.

this will also give validity to "team alpha" raiding stuff that lotus says at survival missions.

have her keep telling all teams how the other are doing and such and in the end have all 3 groups in a victory pose diorama or some such.

They still share the same data, and they would need to be on one host also. You dont understand that this is not possible without dedicated servers. I dont even know about game engine supporting more than 4 players.

 

It is not the point of implementation, it is more technical issue.
