Picked up the kitten. She was less than pleased with this happening.

Currently entrenched under my couch.  I kinda feel bad, she see's Mag and gets all "are you my friend" and then Mag slaps her, hisses and chases her back under the couch.

I picked Mag up, to pet and cuddle, she glared at the ceiling, hissed, growled, and then did a slow side glare at me.

My cat wouldn't do that, buuuut... the last time i brought a new kitten home (only for a few days) he dissapeared for a week

Mag doesn't do this cuddling thing.  The only way I can get her to put up with it is if I scoop her up, roll her on her back and start stroking the tops of her paws.  Only then while she allow cuddles, and only that way. 

I don't know about the kitten yet. She kind of...goes flat and sticks to anything she can get her claws into when I try to pick her up.

Yeah, Mag wasn't handling being alone well, so picked up a kitten for company.
