He probably means the little drums when transitioning from navigation to mission (the loading screen with the controllable landers).

Now that we're speaking of it, that's true, I didn't even notice they were gone, and I'm kind of sad too...

Month or so ago I've seen the 3 types of loading screen. One of them was quite rare and, probably, was caused by loading into any mission.on the Earth.

Yes it usually happens when u load into plains of eidolon
