(PSN)MahdeH232 Posted April 5, 2020 Share Posted April 5, 2020 (edited) Since I last started understanding and playing the game 2 years ago, I've been a part of numerous events: Exploiter, Amalgams, Wolf of Saturn, Scarlet Spear just to name a few honorable mention ones. In some of the events, DE has made the bosses 100% immune to frame abilities (Exploiter, Wolf of Saturn, Conrix on earth mission of Scarlet Spear), while in others abilities did work (Amalgams, Murex part of Scarlet Spear). Wolf of Saturn at release was a nightmare for people to kill, 80% of the time people left the game or simply melee'd the boss for straight 10 minutes just to kill him, not to mention that whatever mission that was in progress continued and most likely failed while people tried killing Wolf. I also remember some strategies that DE simply didn't like such as Nova 2 explosion and Octavia 1 affecting Exploiter's vents, which were hotfixed really fast and marked as exploits, whether I agree with that or no is another story. Making Loki's cheesy tactic of teleporting amalgams (and disruption bosses in general) to fall to their deaths, again whether I agree with this or not is another story. But my question and discussion subject is, why are you so inconsistent at the content pattern DE? As far as I remember the game is WARFRAME, and frames are a part of it, why is some content very tedious and boring because enemies are huge meatshields, while other content is flagged by you as "exploitable" because people learn and develope meta's and strategies using frames and available game mechanics to play it. Designing events and content that is meatshields is BORING, timegating and making content artificially hard because scaling and numbers are stupidly high, is BORING. I have yet to find something that incorporates all aspects of the game together, Eidolons is the closest to that so far, and DE are still finding ways to nerf that each time people find more stratiegies. The biggest indicators to DE being lazy in design and later punishing the players for being creative are very apparent. (removing blink from itzal deliberitly to make it useless, and "give back" the ability to us on all archwings but with a long cooldown, YET releasing Railjack, missions in literal space, and having to cruze through them very slowly in archwing. Removing venari heal which is nothing, sparking a backlash, making a whole new workshop about it to "balance" things only to be a huge overall nerf for defensive abilities and frames). Please DE, Invest more time in the DESIGN and playtesting, because you 100% arent. The real enemies are the Battalysts it spawns, and they most certainly aren't immune. They got buffed a little regarding Limbo's stasis, but they aren't completely immune Please don't quote me on a small specific one, I understand but I was trying to explain the bigger picture. Instead DE builds all the content so ur abilities dont do anything and having great mods is the BASELINE. = Powerless. Its just just horrible game design hidden behind the term "Balance", where every positive has to have a negative. Thats called the real world.
