RAILJACK MISSION EXPANSIONS

Building with existing resources of the game. No new content. Trying to get Railjack to be more towards its initial presentation on Tennocon then what it is now.

RESCUE/SABOTAGE MISSION ON MOVING TARGET(S).

 

FACTION: GRINEER GALLEON (in this example), SENTIENT MUREX (possible)

CREW: 4 (preferably), more focus on squad gameplay.

MISSION DESC. 1 (easy): Grineer Galleon is escaping with valuable prisoner. Disable galleon defenses, penetrate galleon, rescue prisoner to Railjack.

MISSION DESC. 2 (hard): THREE Grineer Galleons are escaping with ONE of them holding valuable prisoner. Disable galleon defenses, penetrate (correct) galleon, rescue prisoner.

MISSION DESC. 3: Grineer Galleon is carrying last Fomorian core to shipyard. Disable galleon defenses, penetrate galleon, destroy the core, escape BEFORE self-destruction.

MAP REQUIREMENTS: Procedural building for: Enemy fighters, Turrets/Shield generators on galleon, inside of the galleon (already available rescue/sabotage missions).

MISSION SUBJECT: is moving galleon and its defenses (Turrets/Shield generators) and NOT fighters. Railjack is flying around galleon destroying or having Archwing support to do it. Fighters are there not as main objective but as additional obstacle they should not be main focus of gameplay.

ADDITIONAL SQUAD GAMEPLAY: All galleon security details (alarms, doors, etc) need to be solved from Railjack (antennae objectives to be destroyed when time comes). In other way, some ship defenses (heavy guns) need to be destroyed from WITHIN galleon by boarding squad/tenno before RJ is destroyed. Higher mission level, more secondary objectives. FOCUS is on TIMING... RJ-BoardingCrew-RJ-BoardingCrew etc.

RESTRICTIONS: Countdown timers - until galleon escapes (all mission types from beginning), -until reactor explodes (sabotage mission type after finishing mission).

ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS (higher level): Galleon rooms with weapon/ability nullification (only secondary, only melee, etc).

And like 5 missions to test were not enough and instead we got 20 times the same? This works for modes that conencto t normal gameplay like disruption was, tested on jupiter then extended on others.

Railjack is one ful lnew gamemode, disconnected from the main game, another island content and for such to test we defintly woudl not had needed 20 tiems the same misison on each thos 3 locations we got.

If they really would had wnated to focus on testing they would had inttoduced one mission as introduction and quest, then unlock the rest later for people while they can try and test.around, like you know, the Event for it to introduce and then later make them regular missions instead as example.

There are slight variations between them(Some specific nodes always have a delicet or gallon for example), on second point all new content that different to core missions are all island content, like plains, fortuna, arena etc.

For last point DE does make events to test and debug new mechanics, like scarlet spear is testing linking missions together, once its done thet can then go on to link core missions to RJ like they did at tennocon.

Its likely they didnt do event for RJ is because RJ crewships need to be upgraded before a major event.

Would say i like the idea, just not sure if that would cause a lot of trouble.

I mean did you see how big those Galeons are? And then move it without to much lag?

Maybe instead of a Galeon there should be a smaller shipclass moving around. Bigger then a crew ship, but way smaller then a Galeon. Something like a prison ship maybe, or any other shipclass in between the crew ships (Have they been called frigate or destroyer? Could swear i heared that term, but not sure if that really fits) and the Galeons
