Proscriptor
it appears that innate pt mostly coincides with a puncture base: opticor, tenora alt, snipetron (3m vs impact-based rubico's 1m), paris (3m vs impact-based cernos) etc. this also makes a lot of sense as puncture indeed punches through armor, while impact delivers high kinetic damage that dissipates on point of impact, and slash causes severe internal injury to organic units still, slash-based stradavar prime semi mode also got innate punch through (which i can still somewhat reconcile with it having a solid amount of puncture too) but the also slash-based kuva hind semi mode doesn't have it. notably, despite using more ammo like stradavar prime, it retains the original base damage. as a fairly heavy gun, quartakk has 0.5m pt, despite it not being puncture-based (it still has a fair share of it tho). so i can conclude that a presence of puncture and high base damage means that a weapon is likely to have innate pt then why do slash based light caliber weapons like kuva karak and akjagara prime have the token innate pt value of 0.2, when so many puncture based automatic weapons don't? shouldn't a puncture based high powered rifle like tiberon prime get a bit of pt as well? what about latron prime? innate pt could make latron stand out a bit from veldt which is in most regards very similar and in some better (magazine, reload, recoil), but overall it's vastly better simply because of it's slash base. so please give some innate punch through to high base damage puncture-based weapons like latron, lex and a few others that look as if had they been released today, they would have got it. something in the range of 0.3-1m Edited May 5, 2020 by Traubenzuckr
(PSN)jaggerwanderer
You forgot beam weapons. Ignis have innate punch through. How can a continueous stream of concentrated energy be able to drill through solid matter? There is also the Kohm. A pellet base shotgun that can shoot through walls without losing projectile velocity.
