be awesome if regular attack was just a flurry of attacks and the charged attack allowed you to stab on claw deep in to the enemy, holding him in place while you slash them with the other claw

kogake is a blunt weapon as it is coverings of feet and hands. an actual claw would be good. maybe one claw as you can get some unique animations out of it. but we have no claws yet. Claws may come down the line, but there is a whip sword coming. Making melee weapons is touching right now as there are so many of them.

Claws aren't too mainstream. Katanas are, swords are mainstream. They can make some sick looking claws that flip out when you attack or they can retract like a wrist blade. There is a cool way for them to do some claws, instead of just having them hang on the hands.

you say that, but you realise if a claw was ever made into the game, there's a good chance it will use the same animation set as Kogake's, in other words, they would be functionally the same, the only different will be damage and the weapon model.

 

but yea, kogake, as it stands, i wouldnt call it a claw, it's more of a knuckle.

The kogake looks like a claw, and has claw-style animations. It fulfills any basic "like wolverine" desires. Of what's been said so far, we are talking about looks only--you can already get short-range melee slashing damage with daggers.

 

For an actual different style, I'd like to see something like Zhang He's claws from dynasty warriors, complete with acrobatic attacks and swooping slash-steps.

Also they don't even have 1 claw style animations.Literally all of their animations are kick boxing.Yes..ninjas...kickboxing.I think claws would be a good weapon,as soon as they are used with agility,and not some kind of sluggish hulk move

The Kogake is about as claw-like as a pair of boxing gloves, except less so since a third of the time you're using the bottoms of your feet.
