PS+ Requirement

I was looking on the PlayStation store, as I have done many times, but this time I noticed something and wondered if I had just missed it or if its new, and how is it impacting players. Before it was always listed that it doesn't require PS+ to play online, but I am reading now that its required? Was there an announcement I missed and how is this impacting people? I have friends that I play with on occasion that don't have a membership, will I not be able to play with them anymore?

It definitely doesn't require ps+. Not sure why it shows that now.

`Interestingly the playstation store does say it's a requirement but I've never had it and the game works fine.

The exact wording usually is: PS+ Membership and working internet connection are required for multiplayer features.

In relation to Warframe specifically, DE and Sony release PS+ optional content like free Syandanas (Obsidian names) that are unavailable to non-PS+ members. So if you don't want free skins and cosmetics regularly via PS+ it doesn't impact the game in any way just some cool Syandanas you may not have access to is all
