Sixty5
IMO Wrong Turn was freaky as hell I'm watching Halloween (2007) ATM and that is awesome My Bloody Valentine was also fun to watch. And if anyone says paranormal activity then I will slap them over the internet.

Brimir
Carpenter's The Thing. It is the epitome of good (read:non-CGI) special effects. I know that movie inside and out, like when and where you can spot crewmembers and stuff in the shot, lol. I love it.
Sixty5
Cabin in the Woods Tucker and Dale vs. Evil The Thing Tucker and Dale Vs Evil was awesome, though I'm not sure it was a horror. And I haven't seen the Thing, should have a look at it.
Brimir
Carpenter's 80's gorefest or the 50's classic, either way you can't go wrong with The Thing. Just uhm... stay away from the '11 "prequel". Edited October 30, 2013 by Brimir

EganMC
The music video to Starlight by The Supermen Lovers. In all seriousness, Nightmare on Elm Street and The Shining are some I love to revisit.
Brimir
The Shining is a masterpiece, but in today's world of ultraviolence I don't think it would scare anyone :C

Warframe kinda reminds me of it.
Anaesthetic
Best Ultra-Violence I have seen is the Madness series by Krinkles. Warframe kinda reminds me of it. [A bit, right? (Guy 1+gun/knife/pipe/hotdogstand)*(Minions 200+gun)=Dead minions 200+hotdogstand] The Mist, Carrie, Land of the Dead, in no particular order, but some of the downright freakiest things I've seen have been in death metal music videos. (Also, if anyone has some good psychological-type picks I'd love to hear them.)
Sni7ch
Tucker and Dale Vs Evil was awesome, though I'm not sure it was a horror. It is comedy horror. :P

And Horror films are the best, especially when you are watching them with people who haven't seen said film before.
ValhaHazred
1. Mothman Prophesies: I'm serious. I think it's a genuinely creepy movie, one of very few horror films that freaks me out as an adult. It's interesting that the main character doesn't interact with the monster in any direct way outside of a single phone call. 2. Alien: It's getting a little dated, but when I first saw it I nearly crapped myself. 3. The Thing: what the other's said. I just want to add that the dog pile is one of the freakiest monsters I've ever seen. Honorable mention. Jeepers Creepers: Not because I found it scary, but because my sister did. All I had to do was hum that song and it would freak her out :D

I may have been assaulted by two female friends after grabbing them and going "DAH!" for the 10th time. It was a funny movie.
