DE just wants to drive engagement metrics, so what better way that make the player hop around through 10 different loading screens to check one thing in each? The insane part is that they already have time gated vendor sections that they've completely abandoned. Does anyone bother checking to see if Master Teasonai has a new time gated item? I mean, if there was some story driven reason Ticker had to be THE GUY it might be easier to swallow. Of course, it would make the most sense that Semaris be THE GUY, since he's down the elevator from all the factions, but then you could get your scan target AND check crew AND get blessings in one place. Can't have that! Next thing you know, people will be complaining that Iron Wake is a pointless waste of hard drive space... Man, who doesn't love a weekly refreshed vendor in the back of a map that only sells 2 items? But it's so little time wasted. I mean, they could let you call Semaris from your orbiter to get the scan target, but no. Go sit through his uninterruptable blather. Then do it again when you go look at his wares. You can call the other factions and browse offerings from the orbiter? Semaris will have none of that!
