Laptop - DX11 Mode - ONLY starts using iGPU while DX12 starts using Nvidia GPU

Laptop: MSIGe637RF

CPU: I7 7700hq

GPU 1070-Mobile

Ram 16GB

 

Problem:

Game keeps crashing on load screens when using DX12. Swapping to DX11 causes game to only use the iGPU off the i7.

Stuff I tried:

- Toggling settings in warframe launcher from 'let windows decide' to 'High Performance' and back (original setting was high performance)

- Going into Nvidia Control Panel and modifying the 'warframex64' program from "autoselect: Nvidia" to "Nvidia..."

- Updating Nvidia Drivers

- Verifying and Optimizing the warframe cache

- Swapping 'classic' and 'enhanced' modes

- Launching the game in full screen mode / windows mode / borderless

- Note: Launching in Full Screen mode on DX11 results in a black screen with login music where I have to alt-F4 out of.

 

All times running on DX11 open using the iGPU, while dx12 only opened the iGPU once in 10 times.
