Kuva Nukor Valence Question (Single Element + Double)

I am hoping someone might be able to assist me in figuring out how I might best approach this situation.

I have two Kuva Nukors.

The first Kuva Nukor (with a couple forma)  = 50% status / 31.3 Radiation - it ended up being a single element only.

The second is a 50% status with 21 radiation and 5.4 Magnetic.

If I were to Valence Fusion the Second into the first, it ends up saying that it will convert to:

Option 1 ends up being: 

Radiation - 53.8%

Option 2 ends up being

Magnetic - 53.8%

My question ends up being - if I chose the "magnetic option 2) is this replacing the WHOLE radiation damage completely (or just whatever would have been added by the "extra" element also being Radiation).

Would it be safe to fold this second nukor into the first?  I was hoping to have a double status weapon for priming.

I hope this all made sense.

Nukor has innate radiation damage, valence fusion will never be able to change that. It will always be any bonus plus the innate radiation.

Choose magnetic, you get more elements/status effects that way.

Status Chance is not at all related to the bonus damage % you get / can increase.
