Need help with a gaze riven if its good

It could have been worse, but it is below average.

Infested even high level are pretty easy to kill so the "damage to infested" is often considered a harmless negative. Yours is a positive (adds damage) Other stats are good, but that basically makes a 2 positives riven with lower budget (if it only had crit and multishot the amounts would have been bigger).

In general: if you have no idea about what stats are desired on rivens, do not play with them at all. And if you must, you can use this site: https://semlar.com/comp (have in mind it is slighly outdated annd biased, the way it depicts %dmg in top3, but it may give you general understanding about riven itemisation).

Ideally you want 3 useful positives and 1 harmless negative. That gives the riven best stat budget.

Example for Gaze it would be: Crit damage, multishot, crit chance + negative impact.

Increased damage to infested is wasteful, as infested are a low priority, and it decreases the multipliers on the Other stats.

crit damage and mulitishot are good things to have, however the numbers on your riven are Low, making it unable to directly replace a Primed Target Cracker or a Galvanized Diffusion.

Thus it should only be used if your Build has an Empty Mod Slot.

 

as mod slots are a bottleneck for most builts (you generally don't have an Empty Slot) for a Riven to be good, it must be capable of directly Replacing one existing mod, while also adding some bonus. For myself, I aim for Toxin on the riven. as all builds will use toxin already, thus any other riven stat is a bonus.
