XCarnifexX
Anyone who ever glanced at trade chat knows that a majority of messages is people spamming overpriced rivens to fish for whales, or offer to buy expensive rivens for low to fish for beginners. Can we just move those people to a separate riven chat. At peak hours it becomes impossible to engage in normal trade chat because there are to many accounts at the same time spamming the same fishing offers whenever their message timer runs out. Making it almost impossible to even read or separate the regular offers in time Of course the obvious solution would be a proper in game auctionhouse since as it is right now external sites are superior to the ingame chats. Besides that it would already help to separate the chat and have a bot remove the exessive amount of repetetive riven offers. Most players either do not engage in riven trading at all, or would be better of not to engage with the ingame market as it is, since epecially new players who cannot properly estimate riven prices yet are systematically exploited due to their lack of game and market knowledge. Open a new riven channel, forbid riven offers in trade chat and make the riven chat an optional prompt same as region chat. When people feel ready to engage in that system they can then activly opt in, instead of being thrown into a shark tank Edited March 22 by XCarnifexX
Tukka
I have apprehension about what an "auction house" system could do to the player economy. Removing too much of the friction or too many of the limitations involved with trading could crash the prices of a lot of things that help sustain free to play players, especially new players. But I agree that Riven Trading should have its own dedicated channel, and disallowing Rivens in the main Trading channel. It seems like a pretty obvious thing to do. rapt0rman
Trading rivens is trading, for better or worse that is explicitly the place it belongs. The trade search engine just needs to allow metadata, instead of only searching through the item name/description. This would allow anyone to simply "-riven" and nip the whole issue in the bud. Or they could literally just put the word "riven" on rivens which would achieve the same effect (adding metadata would help in other areas too though).

Enhance filter is the way to go.
PollexMessier
I don't know how one would even go about using trade chat without filtering for the specific thing(s) you're looking for
