Melee Attack Changes with Exodia Contagion

Before the last patch i was able to perform aerial heavy attacks that sends out a projectile with my Zaw.
I'm using Crushing Ruin as Aura Mod and Exodia Contagion as Melee Arcane.
After updating the game i realized my normal aerial attacks still sends out a projectile as expected, but heavy attacks not. Whenever i try to perform Aerial Heavy Attack my warframe performing Ground Slam attack like i don't have Exodia Contagion.

I think it's intended as such, alas. When they nerfed heavy slide attacks the first time, they mentioned it was a bug, so I wouldn't be surprised if they deliberately removed it.

Have you tried it with sliding before hitting RMB?

I can still throw heavy contagion with this setup.

Yeah it seems that they removed it. They're really insisting to kill Contagion's dps potential. It's unclear if it's mentioned in the patchnotes too, making players very confused.

I just tried this, still can't throw heavy contagion.

They removed the ability to force heavy attacks in the air as a bugfix, which means you can only do heavy slams now with any heavy input in the air. So it probably is an intended change for Exodia Contagion.

Yeah, I kinda hate this new update because I made a build for it. It wasn't as op compared to other builds but it was one I enjoyed and now they ruined it. You can try to a heavy attack by throwing it and while during heavy attack animation, if the projectile hits within that animation, it will count as a heavy attack. I still wouldn't try it that though since it just feels tedious. Thanks DE the fun police.
