Ash's smoke shadow not working properly as client, but fine as host

when playing as ash recently I encountered a strange interaction, I would cast smoke shadow and it would apply to allies but not myself (until I used transferrence which eats a 1/5 of my current duration)

if anyone else notices this or similar casting bugs as clients feel free to add on.
