Mag power strength

I recently saw a video or read a post (cant remember which but cant find any posts about this) that said i should not bother building any mor than 180 power strength on Mag. Is this correct and if so, why ? Thanks.

I think the person only cares about the effect on her 3

 

Tho her 2 is a amazing ability with power strength and if you use her 4 the damage and shield gain increase with it.

So build as you find effective and fun

Power strength affects different things for different abilities, what you find important or not is personal preference. 

I only use enough power strength to have full armor strip on her Crush, outside of that i do not care for it. 

You could build for disarm on Magnetize augment (requires 200%), but that seems pointless as explosion should already kill enemies, disarming the dead doesn't seem exciting. 

Her 3rd does not need power strength it's just a shield gain, cc - debuff ability with augment imo. 

Strength also affects the pull effect of the bubble - which disappears when the main target dies so also kinda irrelevant, enemies should die as soon as they enter the field anyway.

Strength is great on Mag especially in disruption and cascade, that is when you need single-target damage the most. It directly affects the damage multiplier of Magnetize (including its explosion but not its absorption rate), also your Helminth ability if you have one, such as Breach Surge, Xata's Whisper and Roar. In general, range is more relevant. So, depending on the case, I switch Overextended and Umbral Intensify.
