TwoCrabs
we dont have one....y not?would be nice to see one of the contest winners become the first heavy (if its a heavy weapon that wins) for puncture damage -Maine
Nervara
I'm sure DE is working on it. They have recently release a large amount of impact damage based weapons. Now we have a decent amount of weapons for each damage type. Until one comes out I would suggest the Fang Prime.
KriLL3
It doesn't really make sense for something you need to charge up like a heavy attack to have puncture damage.
Casardis
It doesn't really make sense for something you need to charge up like a heavy attack to have puncture damage. To be fair, it doesn't make anymore sense that a dagger has puncture damage if the animations has the Tenno slashing more than thrusting. To stretch it even further, it doesn't make too much sense that "nails" fired from the Twin Gremlins deal equal impact, puncture and slashing damage. Realism is besides the point here. I think that certain existing weapons could receive such a change as well. Scythes, for example, would kind of make sense to have more puncture damage with a bit less slashing, instead of making it almost pure slashing (like almost all blade weapons, and that's redundant). I had made a topic to express such an issue, where there's a lack of variation from DE's part to use Damage 2.0 with melee a bit further. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/141655-damage-20-and-melee-not-enough-variation-in-numbers/ Edited December 22, 2013 by Casardis

KriLL3
A scythe wielded as a weapon is a cutting blade, the curved arc of the blade means the swing makes the blade move towards you a bit, if you think about it, that's what happens when you use it as a tool, it cuts plants the same fashion, if you hit someone point first you're likely to get it stuck, not designed to be used that fashion. -.- really? Really, what slow swung weapon can you think of that is primarily designed to penetrate armor by puncturing it? Spines would probably get to you before the weight of the head does.
KriLL3
Yeah that'd deal puncture and impact, a spear/pike being thrust forwards is probably the most piercing attack I can think of with a 2 handed slow to use weapon I can think of in real-life, the point is designed to penetrate armor, not sure how well a spear would work in WF though, especially if it's limited to all/mostly stab/trust attacks. Yastin
Ever hear of a war-pick? It's like the opposite end on the head of a war-hammer, and is a single pointed spike made to slam into armor and punture it brute-force. Look it up. It's european, mind you, but if anyone argues that while the most populat melee weapon of all is a claymore, we've truly lost sight of things. Serialkillerwhale
I really doubt a Battleaxe or Claymore is japanese, and the ninja thing is only partially a theme, considering how we have cowboy pistols, rhino, who is most definitely NOT a ninja (Or maybe a sumo ninja). and machine guns.
